Anita Louise (Tromp) Swenson
June 15, 1948 - Feb. 15, 2002
Anita Louise (Tromp) Swenson of Sunriver died Friday of natural causes. She was 53.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Holy Trinity Church in Sunriver.
Mrs. Swenson was born June 15, 1948, in Milwaukee.
She graduated from San Jose State with a bachelors degree. She then received her secondary teaching credential from San Lui Obispo California Poly Tech.
She married
Lloyd Swenson on Sept. 29, 1979, in San Jose, Calif.
She taught school for one year in Australia. She attended the Culinary Institute of San Francisco from 1985 to 1989. She graduated from law school in 1990 and passed the Bar exam in 1991. She worked as an attorney and was licensed to practice in California and Oregon. She was associated with the Wall Street Law Office. She moved to Central Oregon in 1996. She also operated Cooking in the High Desert, a cooking school from 1996 to 1999.
Mrs. Swenson was a member and past chairwoman of the Sunriver Public Safety Committee. She was the poster girl for the Sunriver Firefighters Fundraiser 2000-2001.
She enjoyed cooking, continuing her education, dogs, quilting and sewing.
Survivors include her husband of Sunriver; two sons, Michael and Kevin, both of San Jose, Calif.; a daughter, Teresa Morrissey of San Jose, Calif.; mother, Ruth Tromp of Bend; and five grandchildren.

Stacie Mae Burns
May 23, 1982 - Feb. 15, 2002
Stacie Mae Burns of Bend died Friday in an motor vehicle accident. She was 19.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Westside Church in Bend.
Miss Burns was born May 23, 1982, in Simi Valley, Calif., to Ronald and Diane (Toombs) Burns. Her family moved to Bend in 1988. She attended R.E. Jewell Elementary School and Cascade Middle School. She graduated from Bend Senior High School in 2000.
She attended Central Oregon Community College for two years. She worked as a clerk for the south Albertsons store.
Miss Burns was active in volleyball at COCC and a member of the College Volley Club.
Survivors include her parents of Bend; a sister, Rebecca of Bend; grandparents, George Toombs, Ethel Ward, William and Carol.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Stacie M. Burns Memorial Fund at the U.S. Bank Branch at the Albertsons Store South Highway 97.

Jack Leston Kittredge
Oct. 5, 1923 - Feb. 16, 2002
Jack Leston Kittredge of Fort Rock died Saturday at St. Charles Medical Center. He was 78.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Silver Lake Community Church with Paul Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at the Silver Lake cemetery.
Mr. Kittredge was born Oct. 5, 1923, in Ashland to Walter and Maude (Linebaugh) Kittredge. His family moved to Silver Lake when he was 2 years old. He married
Doris Fitch on Oct. 10, 1948, in Eugene.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
Mr. Kittredge worked as a rancher in Silver Lake and Fort Rock.
He was a member of the Lake County Masonic Lodge and Bend Elks Lodge. He served on the Board of Directors for Mid-State Electric Co-Op for 18 years. He enjoyed horses, ranching, the ocean, hunting, fishing, reading, world affairs, politics and attending many Western Livestock Journal tours and trips to Reno, Nev.
Survivors include his wife of Fort Rock; a son, Scott of Fort Rock; a daughter, Lin Kittredge Giuliano of San Rafael, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Ann V. (Marshall) Daniels of Medford died Friday of natural causes. She was 99.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Deschutes Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Daniels was born July 4, 1902, in Renton, Wash. She married
Louie Daniels in Yakima, Wash.
She was a homemaker. She lived in Bend from 1965 to 1989.
Mrs. Daniels enjoyed cooking, crocheting and going to church.
Survivors include her son, Bill Johnson of Olympia, Wash.; two daughters, Bonnie Poythress of La Pine and Vivian Sharp of Malin; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Marie Stella Hatchell
April 20, 1916 - Feb. 9, 2002
Marie Stella Hatchell of Prineville died Feb. 9 at her home. She was 85.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Prineville Christian Church.
Mrs. Hatchell was born April 20, 1916, in Woodworth, N.D.
She worked for The Eugene Fruit Growers. She also worked for Boeing Aircraft Company in Seattle. She was a checker for Journeyman Grocery in Springfield and Spokane, Wash., and then Westgate Market in The Dalles. She retired in the 1980s.
She was affiliated with Prineville Christian Church. She was a member of the Airstream Club, Eagles Lodge and Elks Lodge. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, fishing, photography and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Vince Hansen of Springfield; two daughters, Judith Haigler of Prineville and Ginger Frazer of The Dalles; two sisters, Verna Whittaker of Beaverton and Ruby Chapman of Coos Bay; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.

Victor Lund of Bend died Sunday of natural causes. He was 85.
No service will be held.
Mr. Lund was born Feb. 2, 1917, in Warroad, Minn. He married
Helen on Nov. 29, 1939, in Roseau, Minn.
He owned and operated a service station. He was retired. Survivors include his wife of Bend; two daughters, Ardyce Berg of Bend and Sharon Aman of Namoa, Idaho; a brother, Henry of Warroad, Minn.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Alfaretta A. (Brown) Fredricksen
Jan. 10, 1906 - Feb. 13, 2002
Alfaretta A. (Brown) Fredricksen of Bend died Wednesday of natural causes. She was 96.
A funeral was held at 11 a.m. today at Niswonger, Reynolds and Tabor Chapel. A graveside service followed at Pilot Butte cemetery.
Mrs. Fredricksen was born Jan. 10, 1906, in Tacoma, Wash. She married
Dewey Fredricksen on Dec. 28, 1921, in Seattle.
She moved to Bend in 1963. She and her husband owned and operated the Central Oregon Christian Supply for many years.
Mrs. Fredricksen was affiliated with Eastmont Church. She was a member of the Bend Christian Womens Club. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible.
Survivors include her two sons, Paul of Portland and Neil of Pasco, Wash.; a daughter, Helen Hatton of Nampa, Idaho; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, a sister and granddaughter.

Trudy Jane (Andersen) Capon
July 11, 1946 - Feb. 14, 2002
Trudy Jane (Andersen) Capon of Monument died Thursday of cancer at her home. She was 55.
A memorial service will be held at 1:15 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Monument Bible Church.
Mrs. Capon was born July 11, 1946, in Baker City to Raymond and Georgia (Pugh) Andersen. She attended business college in Portland. She married
Don Capon on April 7, 1973, in Monument.
She was the part-owner of the family ranch near Monument. She was also a homemaker.
Mrs. Capon was affiliated with the Monument Bible Church. She enjoyed attending church and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of Monument; four sons, Ryan, Reid and Ray of Monument and Ross of Baker City; a brother, Terry Andersen of Pendleton; a sister, Kathy McCormmach of Vancouver, Wash.; and three granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Helen Agnes (Arbow) Mogan
Dec. 20, 1909 - Feb. 6, 2002
Helen Agnes (Arbow) Mogan of Olympia, Wash., died Feb. 6 of natural causes. She was 92.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Mrs. Mogan was born Dec. 20, 1909, in Merrill, Wis. Her family moved to Bend in 1925. She attended Bend Senior High School. She graduated from the Columbus Hospital School of Nursing in Seattle with a RN degree. She married
John Mogan in 1933.
She worked as a surgical nurse at St. Charles Medical Center. She moved to Seattle in 1989 to be near family.
Mrs. Mogan was affiliated with many church organizations. She was a Camp Fire Girls leader for many years. She was a member of the Pioneer Club and Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, cooking and needle work.
Survivors include her two daughters, Nan Neuman of Shelton, Wash., and Jackie Gronnel of Sun City, Ariz.; a brother, James Arbow of Bend; a sister, Bernadette Arbow of Seattle; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
