Darrell Dale Ogren, 70, of Monitor, died suddenly at his home on Aug. 3, 2011.He was born in Silverton on Feb. 27, 1941. He attended Molalla High School.He is preceded in death by his sister Darlene Doerfler and his parents Victor and Alice Ogren.He enjoyed truck driving and farming, raising cattle and hogs.

Boedigheimer
Rachel (Lake) Boedigheimer, 36, of St. Paul, died July 28, 2011. She was born May 18, 1975 in Newberg to Leslie and Claudine Lake. She was the youngest of five children. She was close to her grandparents, James and Carol Mae Merten Smith, of St. Paul and her extended family.

Nelsen
Lillian Elizabeth Nelsen, 90, formerly of Woodburn, died July 26, 2011. She was born Dec. 26, 1920 on a small ranch outside Aurora, Colo.She attended elementary school in Aurora and completed high school in Denver. She was the ninth sibling in a family of 10 children. She had five brothers and four sisters.

Shelly
James Austin Shelly Jr., 73, of Woodburn, died March 2, 2012. He was born Oct. 23, 1938 to Ellen and James (Phillips) A. Shelly, Sr. in Sarasota, Fla. His family moved to Portland, where he graduated from David Douglas High School in 1957 and attended two years of college.

Lairson
Roger Lee Lairson, 57, of Woodburn, died Feb. 7, 2012. He was born April 12, 1954 in Phoenix, Ariz. to Leroy and Frances Lairson.
He was taken from us too young by complications from pneumonia.
The family moved to the Portland area in 1962 and he graduated from Centennial High School.

James Lawrence Allison
James Lawrence Allison, 77, of Woodburn, died Feb. 12, 2012. He was born Sept. 21, 1934 in Grants Pass, one of eight children born to Byron L. and Marie B. (Bangasser) Allison.He graduated from Molalla High School in 1952 and in August 1953 he entered the United States Army. He served in the U.S. Army until August 1956 and then in the Army Reserves until his discharge in 1961.

Mary Elizabeth Aicher
Mary Elizabeth Aicher, 94, of Woodburn, died Feb. 8, 2012.She was born July 10, 1917 to Frank and Susan (Brogan) Weiss in Woodburn.She spent her entire life in Woodburn. She attended St. Benedict Grade School and graduated from Mount Angel Academy. She was a member of the Alter Society and Catholic Daughters.

Erma Inez Sinner (Granny), 93, of Hubbard, died Feb. 4, 2012. She was born Jan. 23, 1919 in Adams, Neb. to John and Anna (Rathe) Kamp. She attended Crospy School, northeast of Adams. Being a daddy’s girl on the family’s farm, she learned to work hard.In 1943 she married her childhood sweetheart, Harris Hugh Moore and on March 7, 1944, daughter Karen Ann was born.

Bessie Ingalls Yoder
Bessie Ingalls Yoder, 96, of Woodburn, died Feb. 6, 2012. She was born Nov. 16, 1915 to Frank and Ethel (Mallow) Ingalls in Shamrock, Okla.She graduated from Life Bible College in 1953 and moved to Woodburn, where she married Russell Yoder on Aug. 3, 1935. Many years ago she worked at Birds Eye in production in Woodburn.

Loyal Elton Morey
Loyal Elton Morey, 90, of Woodburn, died Feb. 7, 2012 at the Parkside Adult Care Home in Milwaukie. He was born Dec. 31, 1921 in Yakima, Wash., one of seven children to Charles and Kathren Morey.He spent his childhood in Brownsville, later moving to Portland where he graduated from Benson Polytechnic High School.

Juan Lamar Cuellar
Juan Lamar Cuellar, 68, of Woodburn, died Feb. 6, 2012. He was born Jan. 11, 1944 to Juan and Maria (Lerma) Cuellar in Hargill, Texas.He married Aracelia Trevino Aug. 3, 1964 in Salem. They settled in Woodburn and raised their family.He is survived by his wife, Aracelia, of Woodburn; sons, Israel Cuellar, of Gervais, and Antonio Cuellar, of Woodburn ; brothers, Jesse, of Woodburn, and Eliso, of Mount Angel; sisters, Mary Salinas, of Woodburn, and Henretta Bazan, of Texas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Halter
Mary Josephine Halter, 66, of Woodburn, died Jan. 27, 2012. She was born July 18, 1945 in Salem to Louis and Josephine (Haug) Schmerber. Her entire childhood was spent on River Road near Gervais.
She attended Eldriedge Grade School for her first four years. She then attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in grades five through eight.

Nusom
Talitha Neomi Nusom, 85, formerly of Gervais, died April 27, 2012. She was born Dec. 22, 1926 in Perrydale to Jack and Sophie (Wildt) Magel.
She spent her last year at Dallas Retirement Village.
She graduated from Gervais High School.
She married Donald Nusom on Oct. 17, 1947 in Salem.
She worked with her husband on their farm and at the Gervais Post Office for 25 years as a rural route carrier.

Rardin
Estelle Rardin, 99, of Woodburn, died April 28, 2012. She was born Oct. 9, 1912 in Poland to Feliks and Viola (Gorskia) Kaczorek. She married Jack Rardin in 1949 in Queens, N.Y. He preceded her in death in 2000.
She worked in business in Seattle as a secretary for Marsh-McClellon Insurance. She later moved to Woodburn in 1977 and became a member of St.

Case
Bradley Paul Case, 57, of Woodburn, died April 23, 2012. He was born Jan. 11, 1955.
A celebration of life will be held May 5 at 2 p.m. at Mid Valley Community Church, located at 591 Gatch St. in Woodburn.
Donations in his name may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Kennedy
Elaine Kennedy, 66, of Hubbard, died April 25, 2012. She was born Aug. 3, 1945 in Hubbard to Jesse and Arla (Rivenes) Owre. She was raised in Hubbard, attending Broadacres Grade School. She graduated from North Marion High School in 1963 and then went to Pacific Lutheran College for one year.
She married Jack Kennedy in Vancouver, Wash.

Gendhar
JR John Gendhar, 40, of Hubbard, died April 16, 2012. He was born Oct. 21, 1971 in Fort Riley, Kan., to Michael and Soncha (Oh) Gendhar.
He attended North Marion High School and graduated in 1990. Later, he would marry the love of his life, Christi Gillespie on May 28, 1999 in Salem. Together they would have two adorable twin daughters.

Patterson
Delores Caroline “Tootie” Patterson, 86, of Woodburn, died April 15, 2012. She was born Sept. 25, 1925 in Granite Falls, Minn. She came to Woodburn at the age of 12 and attended Woodburn grade and high schools.
After high school, she lived in Portland and worked as a telephone operator. She married Nicholas Patterson on June 15, 1947 in Woodburn.

Lyle Anne Eichsteadt
Lyle Anne Eichsteadt, 91, of Woodburn, died April 19, 2012. She was born Nov. 6, 1920 to Robert and Dionysia Dawson in Morganza, La. She was the eldest of seven children.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Newcombe College at Tulane University.
She met Harold Eichsteadt, her husband of 58 years, in New Orleans, where he was stationed in the Army during World War II.

Roll
Frank Julius Roll, 85, of Woodburn, died April 22, 2012. He was born March 31, 1927 in Chicago.
He served in U.S. Army Air Force in Korea during World War II.
A memorial service will be held May 3 at 1:30 p.m. at Salem Evangelical Church, located at 455 Locust St. N.E. in Salem.

Frank Mello
Frank Mello, 81, of Woodburn, died April 14, 2012. He was born May 17, 1930 in Martinez, Calif.
He was known by friends and family as “Big Frank.” After a stint in the U.S. Army, he moved to Vancouver, Wash., where he met Caroline Beherns, who would later become his wife. He was in the heating and cooling business.

Jones
Eunice M. Jones, 92, formerly of Woodburn, died April 11, 2012. She was born in Watertown, S.D., in 1920 to Virgil and Mabel (Chandler) Long.
She was living in Portland at the time of her death, but used to be a resident of Woodburn, where she lived since 1974.
