Judy Ann Cunningham
A private family memorial will be held for Judy Ann Cunningham.

Ms. Cunningham, 50, died Thursday (July 18, 2002) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 6, 1951, in Napa, Calif., the daughter of Barbara and Jeff Stone. She was raised in Napa and lived in Paradise, Calif., before moving to the Rogue Valley in 1983, where she lived in Ashland, Talent and the Greensprings.

Ms. Cunningham was a waitress. She enjoyed camping, swimming, traveling, gardening and music.

Survivors include two sons, Christopher Wayne Taylor of Arkansas, and Joshua John Cook of Napa; and a daughter, Vanessa Kristen Vicino of Ashland; two brothers, Jeff Stone of Reno, Nev., and Roy Stone of Napa, Calif.; two sisters, Tasha Stone of Klamath Falls, and Tanya Stone of Stevenson, Wash.; her father, Jeff Stone, and stepmother, Charlotte Stone, both of Ashland; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John Daniel Cook.

Arrangements: Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home & Crematory, Ashland.

Rosemary Stanek
The memorial service for Rosemary Stanek will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at her home in Ashland.

Mrs. Stanek, 68, of Ashland, died Thursday (July 18, 2002) at her home.

She was born July 10, 1934, in Chicago, the daughter of Edna and Frank Strauch. In 1954, she married Richard James Stanek, who preceded her in death.

The couple lived in various communities before moving to the Rogue Valley in 1969 from Santa Clara County. Mrs. Stanek earned her master’s degree from Southern Oregon University. She later worked at SOU as an adjunct professor.

Mrs. Stanek enjoyed tennis, bridge, craft work, pets, traveling and home remodeling.

She was a member of Ashland Racquet Ball Club and Providence Cancer Study Center.

Survivors include three sons, Christopher John Stanek of Ashland, Richard James Stanek Jr. of St. Helens, and Gregory Michael Stanek of Medford; a daughter, Elizabeth Rose Stanek of Ashland; and two sisters, Janis Tipping of Palm Desert, and Clarice Hearne of Chicago; and six grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Brien Stanek.

Carol Dodge White
Carol Dodge White, 87, of Medford, died Thursday (July 18, 2002) at a foster home.

No service is planned. Interment will take place at Memory Gardens Memorial Park.

She was born Carol Dodge on June 13, 1915, in Medford. She graduated from Medford High School in 1932 and spent her entire life in the Rogue Valley.

On April 3, 1937, in Medford, she married Wilton A. White, who died in 1998.

Mrs. White was a homemaker and co-owned several orchards and farms — including Rogue Farms and Kirtland Farms in Central Point — with her husband. The couple founded White’s Country Farm, formerly White’s Produce, along Jacksonville Highway.

Mrs. White’s parents owned a 1, 400-acre ranch near Dodge Bridge on Dodge Road, both of which were named after the couple.

She was a member of Colony Club, Junior Service League and Golddigger’s. Mrs. White was an avid bridge player.

Survivors include three sons, Wilton (Bill) A., Charles (Tom) and Raymond B. White, all of Medford; and a brother, Burdette L. Dodge Jr. of Henderson, Nev.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.

Mary Katherine Matthews
A graveside service for Mary Katherine Matthews will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. The Rev. George Nye of Eastwood Baptist Church in Medford will officiate.

Memorial contributions can be made to: Eastwood Baptist Church, 675 N. Keeneway Drive, Medford, OR 97504.

Ms. Matthews, 83, of Phoenix, died Friday (July 19, 2002) at Three Fountains Nursing Center in Medford.

She was born Jan. 24, 1919, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Ms. Matthews lived in the Rogue Valley for approximately 30 years. She was an accountant at Job Council for 10 years and retired in 1983. She was an antique collector and attended Eastwood Baptist Church.

Ms. Matthews had no known relatives.

Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.

Bernice Evelyn Clark
The memorial service for Bernice Evelyn Clark will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Living Waters Church. Interment will be at Siskiyou Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions can be made to Youth With A Mission, in care of Romania Team, 2707 Hipawaii Place, Honolulu, HI 96822.

Ms. Clark, 71, of Medford, died Wednesday (July 17, 2002) at a local foster home.

She was born Aug. 9, 1930, in Rolla, Kan., the daughter of Carl and Bessie Fernlund. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1935.

Ms. Clark was a waitress at Clock Cafe and King Wah in Medford.

She was a member of the Foursquare Church and Parents Without Partners.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening, painting, baking and bowling.

Survivors include a son, Ron Clark of Medford; two daughters, Mary Callaway and Denise LaLande, both of Medford; two brothers, James Fernlund and Gerald Fernlund, both of Medford; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Joseph Baker
A private family service has been held for Joseph Baker.

Mr. Baker, 85, of Talent, died Tuesday (July 16, 2002) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 4, 1916, in York, Neb., the son of Philip and Elizabeth Baker.

On Nov. 7, 1951, in Las Vegas, he married Pauline Jones, who survives.

In 1979, the couple moved to the Rogue Valley from Santa Fe Springs, Calif.

Mr. Baker worked for Yellow Cab Co. in Los Angeles for 35 years as an upholstery and trim manager.

He was a member of the International Association of Machinists of North America.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Norwalk, Calif.

Mr. Baker delivered "Meals on Wheels" in Medford for 15 years.

He enjoyed old cars, baseball, gardening, taking walks and spending time with his family.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Dallas of Talent, Paul of Eagle Point and Alan of Medford; and a sister, Mary Kouba of Los Angeles; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Henry; and two sisters, Anna and Helen.

Berta F. Self
The memorial service for Berta F. Self will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Keene Way Church of Christ. The Rev. Glen Prosise will officiate.

Mrs. Self died Thursday (July 18, 2002) at her home.

She was born Feb. 21, 1926, in Whitney, Texas, the daughter of Calvin and Columbia (Ackerman) Jean.

On Feb. 11, 1946, in Hillsboro, Texas, she married Elza F. Self, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Self lived in Los Angeles before moving to the Rogue Valley 15 years ago.

She enjoyed reading and family activities, especially with her grandchildren.

She was a member of Keene Way Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Self of Medford; a daughter, Linda J. Wilson of Medford; three sisters, Wanda Raulston, Atlas Nelson and Montee Ronning, all of Texas; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson and four brothers.

Richard Henry Haskins
The memorial Mass for Richard Henry Haskins will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford, followed by graveside services at Eagle Point National cemetery at 11 a.m. The Rev. Fr. Liam Carey of Sacred Heart Catholic Church will officiate.

Mr. Haskins, of Medford, died Tuesday (July 17, 2002) at his home.

He was born April 29, 1924, in the Philippines, the son of Edwin and Dee Haskins.

On Nov. 19, 1951, in Baltimore, Md., he married Elizabeth Hogan, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Haskins moved to the Rogue Valley three years ago from Clearwater, Fla.

Mr. Haskins served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for National Gypsum as a chemist before his retirement.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He enjoyed reading, bicycle riding, going to the beach and listening to music.

Survivors include three sons, Stephen of Clearwater, Mark of Bradentown, Fla., and Charles Haskins of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; three daughters, Eileen Haskins-Mohr of Edmonds, Wash., Kathleen Haskins of Jacksonville and Jean Marie Snider of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and two sisters, Helene Haskins and Marylee Haskins, both of Baltimore; and 17 grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one sister.

Robbie Anderson
The graveside service for Robbie Anderson will be at 2 p.m. today at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford.

Mrs. Anderson, 74, of Medford, died Tuesday (Sept. 3, 2002) at her home.

She was born March 4, 1928, in Baton Rouge, La., to Troy and Louise Brotherton. She attended Eagle Rock High School in Los Angeles.

In March 1947, in Eagle Rock, Calif., she married Daryl Anderson, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Anderson worked as a beautician and accountant. She moved to the Rogue Valley 15 years ago from Los Angeles.

She enjoyed her church, art and spending time with her family.

Survivors include a sister, Virginia Martin, Medford.

Arrangements: Perl Funeral Home, Medford.

Glenn S. Wilding
The funeral service for Glenn S. Wilding will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagle Point Ward House, Linn Road and Highway 62, Eagle Point. Bishop David Provost will officiate.

Mr. Wilding, 69, of Trail, died Monday (Sept. 2, 2002) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Perpetual Education Fund, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 50 E. North Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84120.

He was born April 5, 1933, in Richmond, Utah, to Harvey and Clara (Sorensen) Wilding. He graduated from North Cache High School and attended Utah State University and the University of Utah.

On May 7, 1954, in Salt Lake City, he married Jeanne Worthlin, who survives. The marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1991 from Grass Valley, Calif.

Mr. Wilding was a general contractor specializing in log home construction. He owned and operated Wilding Creations, which specialized in log furniture.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a supply sergeant for the Far East Command.

Mr. Wilding was a member of the Morgan Horse Association in California and ran The Boys Home for a number of years.

He enjoyed raising Morgan horses and log artistry.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Kimberlee Bennett, American Fork, Utah, and Jennifer Wilding Trout, El Dorado Hills, Calif.; a son, Jeffery Glenn Wilding, Fresno, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
