It seemed as though he was born with a smile so bright that it could be seen in his eyes. Eyes that throughout his life seemed to have an encouraging light in them He had a personality to match. Encouraging and uplifting, Mikie made everyone he touched feel better than they did before they came in contact with him.

Mikie spent his childhood in Palos Verdes, California where he enjoyed outdoor activities, spending time with his brother Matthew, and best friend Evan, swimming, shooting baskets, rollerblading, or just playing around with his many friends.

Mike had an uncommonly close and loving bond with his older brother Matt. Since his birth they were known as the M&M; brothers. They were not only brothers, but also best friends. Mikie hated it when his brother left for college, but they visited each other as much as they could. He always looked forward to spending time with his brother, and was especially proud of his brother's wife Nadia and their daughter Isabelle, always telling his brother that they were perfect. He was very proud to be an uncle to Isabelle. The brothers were always close and had recently been putting aside busy life schedules to spend time together.

Mikie loved and was very proud of his mother and father and he showed this by always sitting real close to them, giving big supportive hugs and rarely ending a conversation with any of his family members without saying a meaningful "I love you." He was constantly reminding his mother of her status as "Best Mom in the world." He showed his love for his father in much the same way.

Mikie loved to workout with his dad, but mostly just enjoyed being around Chuck. They were recently enjoying a very close father-son relationship. Mikie always counted on them for love and support The most important thing in life to Mikie were his family and friends. He loved people, especially making people happy.

Towards the end of his life Mikie was dedicated to two things, his family, and the creation of Mikie's Coffee Company. With the help of his father, Chuck, and mentor Mike Kell, and much dedication on his own part, his dream became a reality when he opened the first of what were to be many Mikie's Coffee Co. in Grants Pass, Oregon. Mike had big plans for his future and his supportive friend and family structure were so proud of him for all he was and all he was going to do. He had just recently found the girl of his dreams, Tara Smith, they were making plans for their future together.

Always a believer in prayer, Mikie had recently re-embraced Jesus, giving comfort to all that we will soon see him in heaven for eternity.

Loving, lovable and a true friend, Mikie will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
