Beebe, William M.

William M. Beebe, age 74 years of Millmont, Pa. and formerly of Midddletown Twp. Media, PA died on Saturday 8/19/06 at home. Born in Woodlyn, PA he had lived in Middletown Twp., before moving to Millmont, PA 10 years ago.

He was employed in construction as a carpenter, for over 50 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy during Korea having served on the USS Montery.

He was a member of Prospect Lodge # 578 F&AM, and the Williamsport Consistory AASR. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and traveling .He was a member of Union County Sportsman's Club, A.F.W.R.E.O. hunting club.He was lifetime member of the Mifflinburg VFW, and New Berlin American Legion and the Mifflinburg Moose. He was a man devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Kathryn(nee Kelleher) Beebe; two sons: William Beebe of Honeybrook, PA and Eric Beebe of Glen Mills, PA., two daughters:Jill Taylor of Middletown Twp., PA and Lisa Rich of Claymont, DE., two sisters:Patricia Brecker of Gilbertsville, PA and Iris Stergin of Downingtown, PA. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandchildren.He was the brother of the late Chester and Donald Beebe and Melanie Mitch.

Memorial Services on Friday 12:00 noon from the Minshall Shropshire -Bleyler Funeral Home Middletown(Rte#325) & Knowlton rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA where friends may call after 11:00am. Beebe, Ronald S.

RONALD S. BEEBE of Phila., PA, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 1st, 2006. He was 37 yrs. of age. Born in Brynmawr, PA, Ron grew up in Mt. Laurel, NJ before moving to Phila. He is the Beloved son of Ronald C. & Jane Beebe of Mt. Laurel, NJ and the loving Brother of Greg C. Beebe and his wife Shawna of Helena, MT. He is also survived by his two nephews Soren and Silas and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Relatives and friends are invited greet the family on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Fellowship Alliance Chapel, 199 Church Rd. Medford, NJ, where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are by the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME of Medford, NJ. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family requests memorial donations to the Fellowship Alliance Chapel Childrens Ministry, 199 Church Rd. Medford, NJ 08055.

Beehler, Charles W.

Charles "Chuck" William Beehler AGE: 77

OF: Middletown Township, PA and formerly of Tobyhanna, PA DIED: 6:20 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at his home where he lived for 37 years. BORN IN: Tobyhanna, PA. to parents John G. and Dorothy Price Beehler. Moved to Clifton Heights, PA where he began his teaching after serving in the US Air Force. He than went on to teach at Media High School and he and his family moved to Middletown Twp (Delaware County, PA soon afterwards. Residing there for 37 years.

University of Pennsylvania - ABD Doctorate in Education

9 National Science Foundation Institutes: Wesleyan Univ., Ohio State Univ., Thiele College, Morris Arbotetum, NYU, Univ. of California-Berkely, Princeton University, University of California-San Diego. Every summer for 9 years he attended National Science Foundation Institutes for 4 to 8 weeks of intensive study to keep abreast of the latest in science education. He put into practice what he had learned and also shared it with colleagues in other school districts by conducting workshops.

VETERAN: US AIR FORCE serving for 6 years.

EMPLOYED: Chuck worked a total of 41 years as a science educator and has inspired and empowered vast numbers of teachers and students alike during his career. Widener University for 6 years immediately after his retirement from Rose Tree Media School District. He helped create and establish the Science Teaching Center at Widener University. PRIOR EMPLOYMENT: Rose Tree Media School District Upon the merger of Media and Rose Tree school districts he was appointed K-12 Science Supervisor for the new Rose Tree Media School District - a position he held for the next 35 years. He taught High School and Elementary Sciences in the District and also conducted science workshops for other school districts.

ORGANIZATIONS: Church: Active member of Religious Society of Friends and was a member of Media Friends' Meeting. He served as clerk of the meeting for several years. Chuck was known as an active, compassionate, and loving presence within the community.

Other: Mr. Beehler had a true love of the outdoors and had many hobbies such as camping, gardening, bird watching, and swimming. He also loved to read, to listen to music and found his biggest joys in moments of peace and prayer and in spending time with family and friends. He was an active member of numerous educational organizations such as the National Science Teachers' Association (NSTA), the National Science Supervisors' Association (NSSA) (nominated in 1986 as the NSSA National Science Supervisor of the Year) and the Pennsylvania Science Teachers' Association (PSTA). He worked with other science professionals and the Pennsylvania State Dept of Education to write curriculum for the Science, Technology and Children programs. He was also a member of the Penn State Alumni Association, and a member of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education. He actively contributed to numerous environmental organizations, several Native American College Funds, as well as numerous other organizations that help improve the quality of life for many people and animals.

SURVIVORS: Survived by his wife of 48 years, Eva Fernandez Beehler; A Daughter: Diane Beehler-Ostapchenko, son-in-law: Mark Ostapchenko of Wilmington, DE; A Son and Daughter-in-Law: Carl Beehler and and Suzanne Roose of Media, PA; A Brother: John K. Beehler of Tobyhanna, PA; Two Sisters: Pearl Mitchell-Brush of Tobyhanna, PA and Helen Youngblood of Eugene, Oregon. A Granddaughter: Anna Ostapchenko of Wilmington, DE.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Media Friends' Meeting, 125 W. 3rd Street, Media, PA; there will also be visitation periods from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday evening and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the memorial Service. Interment private.
