EMPLOYED: State Farm Insurance Company FOR 35 years Retiring 1987

VETERAN: US Air Force AS armorer WAR World War II serving for over four years during World War II, serving three of these years in the Pacific Theatre. Recipient of The Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with Four Bronze Stars.

ORGANIZATIONS: Two experiences which impressed him most were surviving World War II and being elected Township Commissioner in Springfield, PA

SURVIVORS: Survived by his wife Shirley R. (nee Doyle) Bryan; A Daughter: Constance Bryan of Hartford, Kentucky; Five Step-Daughters: Paula Pejsa of Gilbert, Arizona, Teresa Bresset of Aiken, South Carolina, Donna Donnelly of Prospect Park, PA, Beverly Bresset of Aston, PA and Yvonne Alberici of Drexel Hill, PA; One Brother: John Bryan of Lake City, PA; Also survived by Eleven Grandchildren and Three Great-Grandchildren; Pre-deceased by his twin brother Robert, sister Kathryn Erskine and brother James Bryan.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Funeral Service Friday 10:00 a.m. from Lima United Methodist Church, 209 N. Middletown Road, Lima, PA where friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Interment Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA Arrangements by The Minshall-Shropshire Funeral Home, Middletown Twp., Media, PA.

Bucciarelli, Anna M.

Anna M. Caputo Bucciarelli AGE: 92

OF: Middletown Twp., PA

Died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at home.

BORN IN: Glen Mills, PA she had been a life-long resident of Delaware County.

EMPLOYMENT: Powell Electronics and Red Maple Nurseries

ORGANIZATIONS: Mrs. Bucciarelli was a wonderful homemaker and caregiver. She especially enjoyed gardening.

SURVIVORS: Survived by One Daughter: Joan A. Abbott of Middletown Twp, Media, PA; Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Lima United Methodist Church, 209 N. Middletown Road, Lima, PA, where friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Interment Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mils, PA.

Budnik, Joseph

Joseph "Geido" Yusik" Budnik, 89, of Venice, Fla., formerly of Delaware County, died Sept. 6 at his daughter's home.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Russian immigrants and grew up in Crum Lynne, Ridley Township. Mr. Budnik was a graduate of the Leiperville School.

Before his retirement in 1971, he lived in Ridley Park and worked for Scott Paper Co. as a mechanic for 29 years. He also resided in Glen Mills.

While living in Ridley Park, he attended the Marcus Hook Baptist Church. He loved fishing, reading, baking and cooking, being a loving and caring father, a good friend to many and a wonderful neighbor.

Mr. Budnik was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Anna Budnik, for whom he cared for many years before her death in 1995, and also a great-grand-child.

Survivors: Daughter, Sandra Burkholder of Glen Mills; son, Joseph Budnik of Venice, Fla; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Saturday from the Minshall-Shropshire Funeral Home, Middletown (Route #352) & Knowlton Roads, Middletown Twp., Media, PA.

Visitation: 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial: Chester Rural Cemetery

Contributions: To the charity of the donor's choice.

Other: Member Springfield Fire Company. He enjoyed attending his son's ballgames for Springfield Athletic Association.

SURVIVORS: Survived by his Wife Ruth Ann (Brennan) Buggy; A Son: Joshua Buggy at home; Two Daughters: Jamie and Amanda Buggy both at home; Four Brothers: Richard Buggy of Springfield, PA, Robert Buggy of Florida, David Buggy of West Chester, PA and Martin Buggy of Upper Darby, PA; Two Sisters: Jean Gallagher of Springfield, PA and Trish Koenig of Springfield, PA; Son of the late James and Jean (nee Brock) Buggy; Brother of the late James Buggy.

OF: Middletown Township, PA and formerly of Chester, PA DIED: Tuesday, July 24, 2007 AT: Granite Farms Estates, Lima, PA BORN IN: Ridley Park, PA, she had been a life long resident of Chester, PA, before moving to Granite Farms Estates in the 1980's.

EDUCATION: Millersville State College, West Chester State College and the University of Pennsylvania graduating with a BS Degree

Graduate studies at Temple and Penn State University receiving her Masters Degree.

EMPLOYMENT: Weatherall School in the Chester School District for 44 years, as a 2nd grade Teacher. She retired in March 1976. Prior Employment: During the war she worked at Westinghouse and Sun Ship. Following the War she taught displace persons at night at Chester High School for 3 years.

ORGANIZATIONS: Church: Attended Drexel Hill Church of the Brethren. Other: She was a member of Alpha, Delta Kappa and Zeto Chapter.

She was the daughter of the late Edward Twaddell and Isabel Tait Bullock

SURVIVORS: A Nephew Paul Possinger of Maryland survives her.

Crossing the North Atlantic 14 times including one run to Murmansk, Russia. Made stops in Ireland, Scotland, England, Oran and Casablanca in North Africa, Curacao and Aruba in the Netherlands Antilles, Panama Canal Zone, Marshall Islands and New Zealand in the South Pacific. Recipient of American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Battle of the Atlantic Commendation Badge and Two Medals from the Russian Government for making the Murmansk Run.
