EDUCATION: Graduate Chester High School Class of 1948

EMPLOYMENT: Sun Oil as an Assistant Engineer for 35 years until his retirement in 1980

ORGANIZATIONS: Mr. Congleton was a Past Member of Chester Lodge #352 and Penn Forest Tall Cedars of Lebanon where he served as Past Grand Tall. He played for the Boston Braves in the minor league, coached baseball for Parkside Little League and refereed football.

Husband of the late E. Louise (Fox) Congleton who died in 1992.

SURVIVORS: Survived by A Son: Thomas W. Congleton, Jr. of Chester, PA; A Daughter: Holly Congleton Stevenson of Collingdale, PA; Also survived by Five Grandchildren and Two Great-Grandsons.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Funeral Service and Interment are private.

Eleanor Josephine "Elee" (nee DiJohn) Conte AGE: 91 OF: Little Flower Manor, Darby and formerly of Middletown Twp., PA DIED: Friday, June 26, 2009 at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, Darby, PA. Born in Ridley Park, PA in 1917 to the late Costine and Sylvania DiJohn. She had been a resident of Middletown Twp before moving to Little Flower Manor, 3 years ago.

EDUCATION; Attended Media High School

EMPLOYMENT: Homemaker

ORGANIZATIONS: Church: Lifelong member Middletown Presbyterian Church, Media, PA

Other: A woman devoted to her family and home. Eleanor enjoyed camping and traveling throughout the United States and Canada. A woman of faith she loved reading her Bible. She also loved gardening, puzzles, music and crafts.

Wife of 57 years to the late Sebastian "Tony" Conte who died in 1999. Mother of the late baby Anthony Conte. Sister of the late Christina DiJohn Hamalak, Lavinia DiJohn Duncan, Raymond, Andrew, Francis and Freida DiJohn.

SURVIVORS: Survived by One Daughter: Marie Conte Woodman of Clarkston, Michigan; One Son: James "Jim" Conte of Middletown Twp., Media, PA; Also survived by Two Grandchildren, Eight Great-Grandchildren and Nephews.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Memorial Service 1:00 p.m. Friday at Middletown Presbyterian Church, 273 S. Old Middletown Road, Media, PA where friends may call after 12:00 Noon. Interment in the adjoining Church Cemetery.

ORGANIZATIONS: Mrs. Conwell was devoted to her home and family and was also an animal lover who through the years enjoyed her pet dogs.

Wife of the late James A. Conwell who died in 2004.

EMPLOYMENT: Upland Baptist Church as a Secretary for 16 years until her retirement in 1985. Prior Employment: Sun Oil working in the Lab for 5 years.

ORGANIZATIONS: Church: Member Upland Baptist Church where she served with the Upland Baptist Women's Union

Other: Mrs Cook was a woman devoted to her family she enjoyed being a homemaker, caring for her family and reading. She was a member of Upland Seniors, Order of the Eastern Star West Chester Chapter #352, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Chester Branch.

SURVIVORS: Survived by her husband of 63 years, John W. Cook, Sr; Three Sons: John W. Cook, Jr. Ocean City, Maryland, David H. (Mary E.) Cook of Landenberg, PA and Robert P. (Scotti L.) Cook of Hollywood, Florida; One Daughter: Linda J. Cook of Brookhaven, PA; Also survived by One Grandson: Patrick.
