OF: Media, PA formerly of Springfield, PA where she resided for 30 years. DIED: Saturday, October 2, 2004 AT Crozer-Chester Medical Center BORN IN: Caivano, Italy she immigrated to the United States when she was 6 years old. HAD BEEN A RESIDENT OF Media, PA FOR 17 years.

EDUCATION: Graduate Fitzgerald Mercy Nursing School. She received her Nursing license in June 1948.

EMPLOYED: Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital as Registered Nurse RETIRED 1986

ORGANIZATIONS: CHURCH: Member Church of Our Lady of Charity, Brookhaven, PA and former member of

Church of St. Francis of Assisi of Springfield,PA

Other: Mrs. Lear enjoying hiking and was a member of the Springfield Trail Club. She was also a member of the Alumna Association of Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital. Sang for many years with Delaware County Community College/Cabrini singers' chorus.

SURVIVORS: Wife of the late James G. Lear who died in 2004; She is survived by Five Daughters: Rosemary McGee of Havertown, PA, Karen Coughlan of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Patricia Macdonald of Rosemont, PA, Eileen Ursino of Northfield, NJ and Geralyn Paterson of Kennett Square, PA; a God-Daughter: Madelyn D'Alonzo of Newtown Square, PA; A Brother: Andrew Sibilla of San Diego, California; A Sister-in-Law Florence Ross of Omaha, Nebraska; Thirteen Grandchildren and Six Great-Grandchildren. Also survived by her former husband Patrick J. Anderson.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Funeral Mass Thursday 10:00 a.m. from The Church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Road, Brookhaven, PA. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. Friends may call Wednesday evening 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday morning 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at The Minshall-Shropshire Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte#352) & Knowlton Roads, Middletown Twp., Media, PA.

James G. Lear AGE: 70 OF: Middletown Twp., PA FORMERLY OF Wallingford, PA DIED: Saturday, February 14, 2004 AT Taylor Hospital Born: Omaha, Nebraska HAD BEEN A RESIDENT OF Wallingford, PA BEFORE MOVING TO Middletown Twp., PA, Sixteen YEARS AGO.

EDUCATION: Attended Wichita State University and

New Hampshire University

Attended The Electronics Radio- Television Institute and several other Technical Schools in his pursuit of

Scientific knowledge.

VETERAN: US Air Force Serving in the Strategic Air Command; he served as a Weapons Specialist and flew on B-47 Aircraft as a Bombing/Navigation Systems Instructor.

EMPLOYMENT: Boeing AS Engineer FOR 45 years, UNTIL HIS RETIREMENT IN 1995. Jim came to the Boeing Company in its Wichita Division where be worked primarily in the Weapons Development Laboratory. In 1963 he moved to the Space Division in New Orleans and was assigned to the Telemetry Development Laboratories and worked on the Saturn V space booster which was used for the Apollo program to put a man on the Moon. He transferred to Boeing Helicopters in 1966 and worked in the Avionics Area of the Engineering Test Laboratories. In 1969 he transferred to the Wind Tunnel Operations Group where he was the lead engineer for 21 years.

ORGANIZATIONS: A man devoted to his home and family. He enjoyed computer programming, needlepoint and other crafts. In 1996 he began to volunteer at the American Helicopter Museum where was the Director of the Library and the Archivist of the Museum. He was also a member of the Springfield Trail Club. Member of the AHS International and also the Vertical Flight Society

SURVIVORS: Survived by his wife Antoinette Tiny (nee Sibilla) Lear; His Five Girls: Rosemary McGee of Havertown, PA, Karen Coughlan of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Patty Macdonald of Rosemont, PA, Eileen Ursino of Northfield, New Jersey and Geralyn Paterson of Kennett Square, PA; A Sister: Florence Ross of Omaha, Nebraska; Also survived by Thirteen Grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren.

Ledakis, Emmanuel

Emmanuel Ledakis AGE: 80 OF: Brookhaven and formerly of Philadelphia, PA DIED: Friday, July 31, 2009 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center BORN IN: Crete, Greece living there until he came to the United States of America residing in Philadelphia for 30 years before moving to Brookhaven, PA, 10 years ago.

EMPLOYMENT: Defense Personnel Support Center (formerly known as Quartermasters) as a Tailor and later a Foreman until his retirement.

ORGANIZATIONS: Church: Member St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church, Cherry Hill, NJ.

Other: Mr. Ledakis was a man devoted to his home and family. He was a member of Knossos Cretan-American Society.

SURVIVORS: Survived by his wife of 47 years Maria (nee Vossos) Ledakis; One Son and Daughter-in-Law who cared for him: George E. and Claudia (DiPrinzio) Ledakis of Chadds Ford, PA.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Funeral Service 12:30 p.m. Thursday at St George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 E. Forge Road, Media, PA where friends may call after 11:30 a.m. Interment Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA.

Lee, C. Jean

C. Jean (nee Benshoff) Lee age 75 Years of Aston, PA. died on February 8, 2008 at the Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland, PA. Born in Bloomsburg, PA she had been a resident of Columbia County before moving to Aston Twp., 50 years ago.

A graduate of Scott Twp. High School she had worked as a secretary for Dr. Frederick Leiser and later was a co- owner of Lee's Gift Shop Aston, PA. for 10 years and later the secretary for Lee's Auto Service , Aston.

Mrs. Lee was an active member of the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church of Aston where she sang in the Church Choir and also a member of The Busy Beavers.

The Women's Club of Aston and Aston Senior Citizens. She was a member of Lady Shriners of Nur Temple , New Castle, Delaware.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years David H. Lee : Three Sons: David C. (Anna) Lee of Aston, PA. Chris A. (Lynne) of Media ,PA and Robert E. (Elizabeth) Lee of Eldersburg, MD.

One Brother: R. Dale Benshoff of Greensboro ,NC.. Also survived by 6 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late George & Anna (nee Fowler) Benshoff.

Funeral Service 11 am on Wednesday at the Minshall-Shropshire-Bleyler F.H. Middletown (Rte 352) and Knowlton Rds. Middletown Twp. Media, PA. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery Aston, PA. Friends may call after 7 PM Tuesday evening and after 10 AM Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

Memorial Contributions to Silberman Center or Crozer Hospice 1 Medical Center Blvd. Upland, PA. 19013. or to Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, 4020 Concord Rd. Aston, PA. 19014 would be appreciated.

ORGANIZATIONS: Active member of Our Lady of Charity Church, Brookhaven, PA; member of The Brookhaven Stamp Club; enjoyed day trips to Atlantic City; avid collector of baseball memorabilia, member Brookhaven Memorial Post #94.
