Born: Chester, PA he was a longtime resident of Bethel Township.

VETERAN: US Navy Seabees during World War II station in North Africa

EMPLOYMENT: Chemical Lehman Tank Lines as a Truck Driver until his retirement PRIOR EMPLOYMENT: Sunoco as a Truck Driver

ORGANIZATIONS: Church: Member St. Cornelius Church, Chadds Ford, PA

Other: Mr. Miller will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He enjoyed yard work and especially riding his John Deere tractor.

Husband of the late Mary (nee Lineham) Miller who died in 2004.

SURVIVORS: Survived by One Daughter: Jane B. Miller of Garnet Valley, PA; One Sister: Marilyn Piasecki of Garnet Valley, PA; One Grandson: Michael Campbell, One Granddaughter: Lisa Voshelle and Two Great-Grandsons: Francis Voshelle and Michael Voshelle.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Funeral Service and Interment in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors will be private. Family will receive after 6:00 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2008 at his home 1412 Naamans Creek Road, Garnet Valley, PA.

ORGANIZATIONS: Mrs. Miller was an avid reader

Wife of the late Robert L. Miller who died in 1967.

Grandmother of the late Christopher Miller.

SURVIVORS: Survived by Five Sons: Robert A. Miller of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Craig H. (Anne) Miller of Narberth, PA, Mark J. (Betty Anne) Miller of Pitman, New Jersey, Kurt E. (Cindy) Miller of Brookhaven, PA and Christopher D. (Geraldine) Miller of Upper Darby, PA; Two Sisters: Sister Mary Arthur of Immaculata, PA and Adelaide Vernon of New York City, NY; Also survived by Eleven Grandchildren and Three Great-Grandchildren.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Funeral Mass Saturday 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Road, Brookhaven, PA. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery will be at a later date. OF: Media and formerly of Brookhaven, PA DIED: Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Granite Farms Estate BORN IN: Green Lane, PA, she had been a resident of Media since 1968.

EDUCATION: Graduate Sellersville-Perkasie High School. Class of 1945

Graduate West Chester Teacher's College

Class of 1949 (now West Chester University)

EMPLOYMENT: Math Teacher for 30 years. She taught in the Garnet Valley School District for most of her teaching career until her retirement. Mrs. Miller started working for Chichester, Wallingford/Swarthmore and Penn Delco School Districts before going to Garnet Valley.

ORGANIZATIONS: Church: Member of the Church of Our Lady of Charity, Brookhaven, PA. Mrs. Miller and her husband Bernard were both active members at the Church serving with Church Carnivals, Fashion Shows and other Church affairs.

Other: A woman who enjoyed her home and was devoted to her family. Member of the Garnet Valley Education Association and St James Band Association. She enjoyed traveling and gardening.

(Reinhold Mahler) Miller of Boston, Massachusetts; Two Grandchildren: Abigail Miller & Bernard Miller, IV both of Media, PA; Two Sisters: Sophie Bradley of Somers Pointe, NJ and Virginia Strothers of Bradenton, Florida.

Past Master Bartram Paul Sands Lodge Philadelphia Consistory, Member Nur Temple Shriners where he served as President and Director's of Staff of Nur Temple. Served on the Shriners Board of Governors of National Director's Staff of North America. Member of Media, VFW Post #3460.

Miller-Elliott, Lee Ann

York - Lee Ann 'Cookie' (Gatewood) Miller-Elliott, 54 of York died at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001 at Harbor Hospital Center, Baltimore, Md. She was the wife of Michael W. Elliott.

The service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22nd at the Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Miler-Elliott was born Apr. 5, 1947 in York. She was the daughter of the late Stanley L and Doreen E. (Parr) Kendig.

She was a computer programmer at New Cumberland Army Depot, retiring in 1998 after more than ten years of service; she received numerous certificates of recognition for her work. She was a former member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Red Lion. She was a 1965 graduate of Red Lion Area Senior High School and attended University of Pennsylvania's Computer Data Entry Program.

Mrs. Elliott also is survived by a son, Brandon S. Miller, York, two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Gatewood.

Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Stephany S. Sechrist, pastor at Zion United Methodist Church, Red Lion.

Memorial contributions may be made to Transverse Myelitis Assoc., in care of Paula Lazzeri, Treasurer, 10105 167th Place N.E., Redmond, Wash. 98052.
