Owen, Randall W.

Randall W. Owen, 68, of Parkside, PA

DIED: Monday, March 16, 2009 at Taylor Hospice House, Ridley Park, after fighting a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, he had been a resident of the Delaware County area before moving to Parkside in 1995.

EMPLOYMENT; Mr. Owen worked as a Pipe fitter with Steamfitter Local #420 for 35 years until his retirement in 1998.

ORGANIZATIONS: A devoted family man who especially enjoyed caring for his Grandsons while his daughter completed her degree. He enjoyed landscaping, gardening, going to local car shows; and he also had an interest in drawing architecturally. Mr Owen was a frequent visitor at Tom Jones where he enjoyed his meals every day.

Son of the late George and Elizabeth (nee Walters) Owen and father of the late Stephen Owen.

SURVIVORS: Survived by his loving daughter: Lisa (Dennis) Travascio of Wildwood Crest, New Jersey and son Randall S. (Meredith) Owen of Austin, Texas; Devoted Grandfather of three Grandsons: Dominic and Vincent Travascio, Evan Owen and anticipating the arrival of a Granddaughter; Dear brother of Sabra Minyard of Columbus, Ohio and Patricia Thompson of Dublin, Ohio; Also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2009 at The Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte#352) & Knowlton Roads, Middletown Twp., Media, PA where friends may call between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. Interment private.

Betty (nee Mumper) Oyler AGE: 81

OF: Springfield, PA And Formerly Of Drexel Hill & Newville, PA DIED: Monday, December 8, 2003 AT Home Born: Carlisle, PA Had Been A Resident of Springfield, PA For 50 years.

EMPLOYMENT: Homemaker

ORGANIZATIONS: A woman devoted to her home and family. An avid Bridge player and volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Delaware County.

SURVIVORS: Wife of the late John E. Oyler who died in 1970; She is survived by Three Sons: John A. Oyler of Phoenix, Arizona, Richard W. Oyler of Fraser, Colorado and Robert E. Oyler of Springfield, PA; Two Daughters: Mary Ann Riley of Cape May, New Jersey and Cindy J. Stavely of St. Augustine, Florida; A Brother: Richard Mumper of Mechanicsburg, PA; Also survived by Eight Grandchildren. Daughter of the late Wilbur B. & Mary Evelhoch Mumper.
