ORGANIZATIONS: Church: Member Trinity Lutheran Church, Havertown, PA where she was active and served as Past President for several years with the Lutheran Women

Other: Mrs. Raabe volunteered with Magee and Bryn Mawr Rehab.

Wife of the late Herbert L. Raabe who died in 1970. Sister of the late Joseph C. (Bud) Hoy.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by A Niece who cared for her Marge McHenry of Springfield, PA; A Brother: Robert C. Hoy of Westminster, Maryland; A Cousin: Julia Lockard of Uniontown, Maryland; A Nephew: Robert C. Hoy, Jr.; Also survived by A Great-Nephew and Two Great-Nieces.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Memorial Service 11:45 a.m. Thursday in The Lima Estates Auditorium, 411 N. Middletown Road, Lima, PA. Interment in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA will be private. Arrangements by The Minshall-Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown Twp., Media, PA.

EMPLOYMENT: Boeing R & D AS Aircraft Mechanic FOR 40 ½ YEARS RETIRED 1995

ORGANIZATIONS: Member of Chester County Antique Car Club, Antique Automobile Club of America, Inc., Branford Electric Railway Association, Inc and East Penn Traction Club.

SURVIVORS: Survived by his wife of 11 years Judith C. Cressman; Two Sons: Louis R. Rakus of West Grove, PA and Herbert B. Rakus of Jacksonville, Florida; A Daughter: Elizabeth A. Rakus of Bethel Township, PA; A Step-Son: James Donovan of Manchester, Connecticut; Two Step-Daughters: Wendy Donovan of Pottstown, PA and Sunny Lowthert of Chadds Ford, PA; Three Brothers: Lin Rakus of Oxford, PA, Michael Rakus of Willow Grove, PA and James Rakus of Claymont, Delaware; Also survived by Seven Grandchildren, Five Great-Grandchildren and Eight Nieces and Nephews. Husband of the late Ruth Rakus who died in May 1990.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Graveside Service and Interment 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Siloam United Methodist Cemetery, 3720 Foulk Road, Bethel Township, PA. Arrangements by the Minshall-Shropshire Funeral Home, Middletown Twp., Media, PA.

Randel, Dorothy Joan

Dororthy Joan (nee Nast) Randel age 74 years of Concord Twp., formerly of Yardley, PA, died on Wednesday August 22, 2007 at home.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Randel had lived in Yardley for 44 years before moving to Concord Twp. three years ago.

Mrs. Randel was a woman devoted to her home and family. She was an active volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital in Newtown, Bucks County, PA where she had been recognized for the number of hours that she had volunteered to the hospital. She was also a member of the First German Sports Club Phoenix and a member of the Sea Isle City Yacht Club where she was president of the Ladies Auxiliary. Earlier in her life she was a Troop Leader for both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and a first generation Soccer Mom.

She is survived by her husband Edward W. Randel; 1 son, Dr. Edward W. Randal, Jr., DDS of Glen Mills, PA, 1 daughter; Carolyn L. Slack of Summerfield, NC. Also survived by 5 grandchildren.

Funeral Service on Monday at 11:00 AM from St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Lamppost Lane and Pennell Rd., Aston, PA. Interment private. Friends may call on Sunday evening after 7:00 PM and Monday morning after 9:00 AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rt#352) & Knowlton Roads, Middletown Twp., Media, PA.

Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society: 1615 West Chester Pike, Suite 101, West Chester, PA 19382, would be appreciated.

He was the son of the late Foster E. and Eva Hill Reber and brother of the late Virginia Stern.

SURVIVORS: He is survived by Two Nephews who cared for him Glen Stern of Coopersburg, PA and Michael Stern of Marple Twp., PA. Also survived by a former brother-in-law William Stern.

Florence Ellen (nee Brown) Rees "Floss" AGE: 101 OF: Middletown Twp., Media, and formerly of Marcus Hook, PA DIED: Saturday, September 16, 2006, 10 days short of her 102 birthday. AT Home BORN IN: September 26, 1904 in Concord, Delaware (suburb of Seaford, Delaware) to the late Nathanial Burton and Maggie Joseph Brown. HAD BEEN A RESIDENT OF Marcus Hook, PA FOR 44 years, BEFORE MOVING TO Middletown Twp., PA, 23 years ago.

EMPLOYMENT: American Viscose Company for 40 years. Retired in 1958. Worked part time for Marcus Hook Florist and Salisbury General Hospital.

ORGNIZATIONS: Church: Member Middletown Presbyterian Church, Elwyn, PA

Other: Mrs. Rees was an expert seamstress. She sewed mostly for her family. At 80 years old she made her granddaughter's wedding gown as well as the bridesmaids' gowns. She continued to sew well into her 90s. She loved flowers and took courses to learn arrangement and to make corsages. Her greatest joy was her family.

Wife of the late Victor John Rees who died in 1963. Sister of the late Walter and Lynden Brown.

SURVIVORS: Survived by her Daughter: Barbara Rees Greer with whom she lived; Two Granddaughters: Victoria Greer Nagel of Phelan, California and Charron Greer Verica of Middletown Twp., PA; Great-Grandchildren: PJ Verica and Joseph Verica.
