Edith Louessa Richline Hart

Edith Louessa Richline Hart passed away peacefully at her son's home in Palmer Township, Pa with her loving family surrounding her bedside. Born: On March 25, 1916, Edith was the last surviving member of the late George and Mabel Lozier-Richline family. Personal: Edith and her loving husband, Raymond K. Hart Sr. were married for 53 years until he passed away on January 11, 1986. She was a long time resident of Stewartsville and Parkside, NJ, but had most recently resided in Palmer Township with her son, Raymond II and daughter-in-law, Elaine. She enjoyed time spent with her family and going on several cruises. She was an avid reader and spent time crocheting many afghans for her loved ones. Memberships: Edith was a life long member of First Lutheran Church, Stewartsville, NJ. Survivors: In addition to her son, Raymond K. Hart II and his wife, Elaine; grandchildren, Valerie Hart, Susan Edwards and her husband, George, James Jr., Jeffrey and his wife, Cheryl, Linda Leh and her husband, Terry, Harry and his companion, Julia, Eric and his wife, Natasha, and Brett and his wife Cathy; great-grandchildren, Kristin, Bryan and fiancee' Stefanie, Jennifer, Julie, Andrew, Shawn and his wife, Katie, Tara and her husband, David, Zackary, Cavin, Colton, and Samantha; great-great-grandchildren, Malaia, Kaili, Trenton, Brooklyn, Shane, Julia, and many nieces and nephews. A son, James Sr., passed away January 31, 2007. Edith's sisters, Viola Trimper, Louella Gardner, Edna Mowders, Marian Van Scoten, Alma and Hazel Richline, and her brothers, George, Walter, Kenneth, Edward, and David Richline, died earlier. Services: Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the church, N. Main St., Stewartsville. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and also on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. The Rupell Funeral Home LLC, Phillipsburg, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12th St., Allentown, PA 18103 or to the church, P.O. Box 86, Stewartsville, NJ 08886, in memory of Edith Hart.

Mary Ricketts

Mary Ricketts, 89, of Easton, Pa, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2008 at The Easton Home in Easton. Born: On March 24, 1919 in Alpha, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Israel and Angelina Rossi Lutzi. Personal: Her husband of 63 years, Harold L. Ricketts, passed away on March 28, 2002. She had lived at The Easton Home for two years. Before that, she lived in Alpha and Phillipsburg, NJ. At one time, she was employed at Luigi's Rancho Restaurant in Belvidere, NJ, for many years. She was a homemaker. Memberships: She was a member of the Auxiliary of the John Dolak American Legion Post, Alpha. Survivors: She is survived by a son, retired Naval Lt. Commander Harold L. Ricketts, Jr. of Lakeworth, Florida; daughters, Barbara A. O'Hay of Stuart, Florida, and Charlotte J. Ballato of Easton; sister, Theresa Leslie of Alpha; sister-in-law, Clesta Lutzi of Stewartsville, NJ; six grandchildren, Melonie Merlo and her husband, John of Palmer Township, Pa, Charlene Macario of Easton, Kevin O'Hay of Stuart, Florida, Rev. Sean O'Hay and his wife, Rochelle of Stuart, Florida, Charles Ricketts of Phoenix, Arizona, and Nicholas Ricketts and his wife Tina of Tampa, Florida; eight great-grandchildren, Joseph and Mari Merlo, Christopher Hendershot, Tara and Rose Macario, Daniel O'Hay, and Osana and Olivia O'Hay, and one great-great-grandson, Giovani Marcario. Three brothers, Emmanuel Lutzi, Jeffrey Lutzi, and Louis Roselli, and three sisters, Jenny Lutzi, Adeline Gardner, and Ester Wagner, all died earlier. Services: Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Rupell Funeral Home LLC, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg. A calling hour will be held on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township, Pa. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Easton Home, 1022 Northampton Street, Easton, PA 18042, or to the Diakon Hospice Saint John, 5000 Tilghman Street, Suite 157, Allentown, PA 18104.

Paul R. Castiglia

Paul R. Castiglia, 63, of Palmer Township, Pa, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 as a result of an automobile accident on Interstate 78 in Upper Saucon Township, Pa. Born: On August 25, 1945 in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was a son of the late Paul R. and Helen Kadash Castiglia. Personal: He and his wife, the former Melody A. Hager, celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on April 4, 2008. He had lived in Palmer Township for the last 17 years and, before that, lived all his life in Phillipsburg. He was a health, safety, and environmental coordinator for ICO Polymers North America, Allentown for 12 years. Before that, he worked at Mobil Chemical in Washington, NJ for 22 years. Paul was of the Catholic faith. He received his G.E.D. from Phillipsburg High School. He was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the New York Yankees, and, in football, the New York Giants. He enjoyed traveling and working in his yard and his garden. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren. In all the things they did, he was always there. To them, he was a great Pop Pop. Memberships: he was a member of the Association of Retired Persons. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Melody, he is survived by his sons, Paul J. Castiglia and his wife, Lynn of Hackettstown, NJ, and Patrick A. Castiglia and his wife, Lauri of Phillipsburg; his daughter, Annmarie Piper and her husband, Ronald of Peoria, Illinois; sisters, Jean Decker and her husband, Ted of Phillipsburg, and Helena Castiglia of Easton, Pa, and seven grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Jared, Melody, Nathan, Sierra, and Lucas. Services: A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Rupell Funeral Home LLC, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg, NJ. There will be no calling hours. Entombment of his cremains will be in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township, Pa. Memorials: May be made to the charity of one's choice.

Leon Spitzenfeil

Leon Spitzenfeil, 84, of Wind Gap, Pa, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth, Pa. Born: On October 14, 1923 in Newark, NJ, he was a son of the late Otto and Lucille Loraine Spitzenfeil. Personal: He and his wife, the former Noreen Starr, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 12, 2008. He graduated from Newark High School, Newark, NJ, Class of 1941. He has lived in Wind Gap for the last ten years. Before that, he lived in Mansfield, NJ. Leon had been a salesman for Dover Tubular in Dover, NJ. He was of the Catholic faith. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Noreen, he is survived by a son, Lee W. Spitzenfeil and his wife, Sandra of Hardwick, NJ; daughters, Nancy Renkel of Wind Gap, Karen Elsdon of Cressona, Pa, and Carol Boycott and her husband, David of Garnerville, NY; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Services: A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at the convenience of the family at the Rupell Funeral Home LLC, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg, NJ. There will be no calling hours.

Steven J Parkansky, Sr.

Steven J. Parkansky, Sr., 75, of Easton, Pa died Saturday, August 23, 2008 on the 14th Fairway of the Woodland Hills Golf Course in Lower Saucon Twp., Pa. Born: August 10, 1933 in Easton, Pa, son of the late Joseph G. Parkansky and Anna E. Nemeth Parkansky. Personal: He served in the US Army in the 82nd Airborne. He worked for 50 years in the TV Cable industry, working 27 years for Service Electric before retiring August 2, 2007. He was a graduate of Easton High School. He was an avid golfer, having two hole-in-ones at Woodland Hills. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Memberships: He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Easton, Pa, retired member of IBEW Local 375, member of Roseto Rod & Gun Club, Woodland Hills Golf Assoc., associate member of Fraternal Order of Police, Washington Lodge #17. Survivors: His loving wife, Joan Parkansky, with whom he celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on September 9, 2007; two sons, Steven J. Parkansky, Jr., his two daughters, Ashley and Stefanie and his wife, Jean Marie, all of Easton, Pa and David C. Parkansky and his wife Diane R. and their two sons Jared and Adam, all of Bethlehem, Pa; two brothers, Edward Parkansky and wife, Joyce of Easton, Pa and Bernard Parkansky and wife, Shirley of Palmer Twp. Two brothers, Joseph and George Parkansky and four sisters, Anna Faust, Mary Daubert, Rose Coakley, and Betty Hunter Parkansky all died earlier. Services: Family and friends may gather at the Rupell Funeral Home, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg, NJ from 8:45am until 9:30am on Thursday, followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Jane Frances DeChantal Church located at 4049 Hartly Ave., Easton. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 7-9pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Easton Heights Cemetery, Easton, Pa. Memorials: For those who choose, memorials may be made to the Alfred C. Diomedo Fund, P.O. Box 152R, Martins Creek, Pa 18063.

Barbara A. McKenna

Barbara A. McKenna, 63, of Palmer Township, Pa, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at her home. Born: On May 21, 1945 in Abington, Pa, she was a daughter of Amelia Gelezinsky Horn of Venice, Florida, and the late Harold Horn. Personal: She and her husband, Larry E. McKenna, celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on December 19, 2007. Barbara was a Registered Nurse, having worked at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. She was also a Charge Nurse at Carrier Clinic in Belmead, NJ. She also worked at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, and Palmer Family Practice, Palmer, Pa. She last worked in the office of Dr. Eric Schenkel, Bethlehem, Pa. She had lived in Palmer Township for the last 32 years. She graduated from Cathedral High School, Trenton, NJ, Class of 1963, and then, from Muhlenberg Hospital School of Nursing, Plainfield, NJ, Class of 1966. She enjoyed skiing, the beach, and the shore. She was an avid reader. Her greatest joy was her family. Memberships: She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Nazareth, Pa, the American Nurses Association, and the American Association of Retired Persons. Survivors: In addition to her husband, Larry, and her mother, Amelia, she is survived by a daughter, Allison E. Keenan and her husband, Christopher of Willow Grove, Pa; a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Hogarth and her husband, Ronald of Venice, Florida, and three grandchildren, Kate, Zachary, and Jacob. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her honor on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the church, 23 Forest Drive, Nazareth. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rupell Funeral Home LLC, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg, NJ, and again on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township, Pa. Memorials: Rather than flowers, memorials may be made to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, Office of Institutional Advancement, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.

Christa Marie Maholick
(July 2, 1968 - January 22, 2013)
Christa Marie (Casciole) Maholick, 44, of Nazareth Pa died on Tuesday, Jan 22, 2013 after a courageous 4 year battle with breast cancer.
Born: Christa was born on July 2, 1968 in Easton PA, a daughter of Louis Casciole and the late Theresa (Zalsky) Casciole.
Personal: Christa lived her entire life to the fullest with a passion, vigor and sense of humor that inspired so many along the way. Christa was an accomplished student, athlete and most importantly mother and wife. She devoted the last 12 years of her life raising her dear children, Lucas 11 and Kathryn 10, and caring for her mother who passed away almost 6 years ago. She was an avid sports fan and was passionate about Penn State football and the Phillies.
Christa attended St Jane’s in Wilson through 8th grade and Wilson High School, class of 1986. She graduated with high honors, was voted Homecoming queen, Prom queen, and Most Valuable Player of the track team. She also was a Majorette, a member of the National Honor Society. She served as the class secretary and participated in the Northampton County Junior Miss. She continued her education at Shippensburg University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance while lettering in Track and Field, participating in the Long Jump, Triple jump and relays.
Christa started her career at Liz Claiborne in NYC and then returned to the Lehigh Valley to work at Crayola where she met her husband Mike. While at Crayola, she attended graduate school at Lehigh University and earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration. She worked for Outer Circle Products in both Chicago and Virginia. After marriage and the birth of her son, she later moved to Delaware where she began her most cherished job of all as mother and wife. Christa loved her children and was devoted to nurturing every aspect of their lives. She taught them to be strong, stand up for what’s right and what you believe in, treat people with respect and be gracious for Gods gifts. She also taught them to laugh and have fun, and to appreciate all that life brings.
After her children were in grammar school, Christa pursued her desire to become a teacher, attending East Stroudsburg University and earning her teaching certification in elementary education. She served as a teacher’s aid and substitute teacher in the Nazareth and Bethlehem Area school districts. She also taught CCD prep classes at Holy Family Parish in Nazareth and was a board member of BeeSafe childrens preschool program.
Christa was grateful for the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at St Luke’s Hospital, Hospice and especially Dr. Schadt, Dr. Woodruff and Dr. Anna Niewiarowska and staff who provided exceptional care and compassion throughout her journey. She was also grateful to Lutron Electronics and the Nazareth Area School District who provided her husband and children with incredible support. She was most appreciative of our families and friends who made it possible for her to battle her illness for the last 4 years by providing support, food, laughs and unselfish love to make all of our lives as comfortable as possible during her long illness.
Survivors: In addition to her father, husband and children, Christa is survived by her sister Susan Casciole Raines, brother-in-law Adam Raines, sister-in-law Sharon Helm Casciole, brother Matthew; beloved nieces and Goddaughters Hannah Casciole and Morgan Casciole, father-in-law Anthony Maholick, mother-in-law Jeanne Maholick, brother-in-law Mark Maholick, sister-in-law Betsy Maholick, nephews Calvin and Samuel Maholick.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and also Monday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
Memorial Contributions: Contributions in Christa’s memory to establish a scholarship fund to help students dealing with cancer in their lives, may be made to Michael Maholick and mailed c/o Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA 18045.

Giovanni DiBiagio
Name: Giovanni DiBiagio 93, of Palmer Township passed away April 1, 2004 in Easton Hospital
Born: February 16, 1911 in Controguerra, Province Termano, Italy, a son of the late Pasquale and Colomba Scarpantonio DiBiagio
Personal: His wife the former Clementina Pompilii died in 1996.
He was a construction Laborer for the Local 79 of the Mason Tenders Union retiring in 1975.
Giovanni was a great father and grandfather who loved his family and was loved by every one who knew him.
Memberships: He was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton.
Survivors: A son Angelo DiBiagio and wife Carol of Williams Township and a daughter Anna Sepulveda and husband Henry of Indialantic, Florida.
Grandchildren John, Jim, and AnnMarie Sepulveda, Crotsley, Angelo,and John DiBiagio, and Tina Lippincott ; nine Great Grandchildren and a brother Terenzo DiBiagio of Italy.
Two sisters and a brother Adalgisa ,Vivina and Vincenzo all preceded him in death.
Services: Saturday 11:00am in the Morello Funeral Home 3720 Nicholas Street in Palmer Township, followed by an 11:30am Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 9th & Lehigh Streets In Easton.
Call Saturday (Today) 9:00am to 11:00am in the funeral Home
Interment: Gethsemane Cemetery in Palmer Township

Mary J. Boehmer
Name: Mary J. Boehmer, 86, of Brewster MA and formerly of Easton, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2004 in Epoch Senior Health Care in Brewster, MA.
Born: February 2, 1918 in Easton, PA a daughter of the late Antonio and Rosa DiNatali Crisafulli.
Personal: She is preceded in death by her husband Floyd W. Boehmer who died in 1998. Mrs. Boehmer was employed as a machine operator by the former Dixie Co. in Wilson Borough many years ago.
Memberships: She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh St. in Easton.
Survivors: Mary is survived by daughters Dorothy McDermott of Cape Cod, MA; Barbara Maiorana of Punta Gorda FL; a son Karl Boehmer of Crest View, FL; nine Grandchildren and ten Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by seven brothers Tony, Joseph, Frank, Carmelo, Samuel, Albert and Salvatore Crisafulli a sister Angelina Carta, and a sister Maria who died in childhood.
Services: Services will be held Thursday at 11:15 am in the Morello Funeral Home 3720 Nicholas St. in Palmer Twp. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon in St. Anthony of Padua Church 9th & Lehigh St. in Easton. Calling hours, Wednesday 6-8 pm in the funeral home.
Interment: Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
Memorials: May be made in memory of Mary to the charity of your choice.
