Joyce Schinstine
(Died June 25, 2011)
Joyce M. (Bussenger) Schinstine, 82 of Bethlehem Twp. passed away peacefully on Saturday June 25, 2011.
Born: She was born on January 12, 1929 in Flicksville, PA a daughter of the late John W. and Anna Case Bussenger.
Personal: Joyce and her husband Donald R. Schinstine, Sr. celebrated 62 years of marriage together. She was employed as a dental assistant for Dr. Bixler in Easton retiring in 1975. She was a graduate of Bangor High School class of 1946.
Memberships: Joyce was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Palmer Twp.
Survivors: In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by her sons Donald R. Schinstine, Jr., Roger E. Schinstine; daughter Debra A. Goldstein; sister-in-law Norma Bussenger; grandchildren Stephanie McElroy, Claudia and Amanda Schinstine, Robert and Ervin Fetherman, Erin Priest and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by daughter Pamela R. Fetherman, a sister Jane McGinley and brothers John W. Bussenger Jr. and Roger Bussenger.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 9:00am until 10:00am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
Memorial Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jane’s Church, 4049 Hartley Ave. Easton, PA 18045 in memory of Joyce.

Ambrose Coveleskie
(Died June 26, 2011)
Ambrose A. Coveleskie 85 of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Sunday, June 26th in Gracedale Nursing Home.
Born: Ambrose was born on November 15, 1925, in Coal Twp., PA, a son of the late Frank and Mary Barna Coveleskie.
Personal: Ambrose and his wife, the former Mildred Klebon, celebrated 63 years of marriage on February 8. He worked as a clothing machinery mechanic in many Lehigh Valley clothing factories, mostly at the former Jo-Ann Dress, later called the J & A Dress in Easton, PA for 25 years, retiring in 1990. He was a World War II Veteran and served with the U.S. Navy Amphibious Forces as a Petty Officer 1st Class. Serving aboard the landing craft U.S.S., LST 719, he spent two years island hopping taking part in combat against the enemy in the South Pacific, from the Solomon Islands, New Guinea Campaign, Liberation of the Philippine Islands, and finally the Occupation of Japan, for which he received the following awards: China Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Navy Occupation Medal (with Asia clasp), Philippine Liberation Medal, Republic of China War Medal, and the Naval Reserve Medal. He was also awarded the Combat Action Ribbon and Commemorative Medal for participating in ground and surface combat against the enemy, and also three Bronze Stars. He also served for ten years in the Naval Reserve.
Memberships: Ambrose was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Roman Catholic Church. He was also a member of the United States LST Association and the Pennsylvania LST Association with which he served on the Board of Directors for 10 years and was presented a citation for serving the organization and his fellow Amphibious Veterans with honor and distinction as a member of the Board of Directors, and it was presented to him at the Hazelton PA banquet on May 12, 2005 by their President.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Ambrose is survived by his son Michael Coveleskie and his wife Joyce of Lower Mt. Bethel Twp.; daughters Susan Coveleskie of Easton, Mary Bean and her husband Thomas of Pahrump, NV; grandchildren Abraham Bean of Easton, Benjamin Coveleskie of Lafayette, Louisiana; two great-grandchildren Sarah and Hannah Bean.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in St. Jane’s Church, 4049 Hartley Ave. Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30am in the church. Interment will be on Friday at 10:00 am in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Arrangements are under the direction of the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp.
Memorial Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ambrose’s name to St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA 18045.

Claire K. Fisher
(October 23, 1927 - June 8, 2011)
Claire K. Fisher, 83, of Nazareth, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 8th in New Eastwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Wilson Boro.
Born: Claire was born on October 23, 1927 in Mt. Vernon, NY, a daughter of the late Louis A. and May C. (Loughran) Fisher.
Personal: Claire worked as an administrator for the Association of National Advertising for over 40 years, retiring in 1990.
Survivors: Claire is survived by several nieces and a nephew. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Ball; a sister, Regina Rose; and a brother, Al Fisher.
Services: A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA.
Memorial Contributions: Contributions may be made in Claire’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the American Heart Association, 212 E. Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.

Frances T. Indovina
(April 6, 1919 - June 8, 2011)
Frances T. Indovina, 92, Wilson Boro, passed away on Wednesday, June 8th, in Alexandria Manor.
Born: Frances was born on April 6, 1919 in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late Angelo and Sadie (Merlo) Trapani.
Personal: Frances worked as a machine operator for the former Rudolph’s Pocketbook Factory before retiring many years ago.
Memberships: Frances was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Survivors: Frances is survived by her brothers Charles Trapani of Wilson Boro, and Sam Trapani of Easton. She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Indovina.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 9:15 am to 10:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 am in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Street, Easton. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.

Mary B. Sherry
(June 6, 1917 - June 13, 2011)
Mary B. Sherry, 94, of Palmer Twp, passed away on Monday, June 13th, in Gracedale Nursing Home.
Born: Mary was born on June 6, 1917 in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Palma (DiCicco) Bilotta.
Personal: Mary worked as a grinder for Bethlehem Steel, later as a machine operator for the former Chipman’s Knitting Mills, and lastly as a cafeteria worker at Notre Dame High School and Lafayette College, retiring in 1986. She attended Easton High School. Mary and her husband Robert J. Sherry Sr., celebrated 65 years of marriage last November.
Memberships: She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and St. Anthony’s Golden Age Society.
Survivors: In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her sister, Frances Baldassare of Sea Isle City, NJ; and a half-sister, Evelyn Enea of Easton. She is preceded in death by her son Robert J. Sherry Jr.; sisters Anna Master, Josephine Bilotta, Carrie Bilotta, Margaret Viscomi, Elizabeth Cuvo; brother Peter Bilotta and half-brother James Gallo.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton PA (Palmer Twp.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am in St. Anthony’s Church, 9th & Lehigh Street, Easton, PA. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.

Serafino Vernaci
(Died June 25, 2011)
Serafino Vernaci, 101 of Easton passed away Saturday June 25, 2011 in Easton Hospital, Wilson Boro.
Born: He was born on October 13, 1909 in Palermo, Sicily a son of the late Giuseppi and Domenica Matranga Vernaci.
Personal: Serafino was preceded in death by his wife Maria (Matranga) Vernaci in 1998. He was employed as a factory worker for Fredwill in Easton for many years retiring in 1971. He served in the Italian army.
Memberships: He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton.
Survivors: Serafino is survived by sons Joseph Vernaci of Easton, Nat Vernaci and wife Linda of Doylestown, PA; daughter Minnie Vernaci of Easton and a grandson Steven. A sister Jackie and brothers Rosario, George and Natale preceded Serafino in death.
Services: a calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 11:15am until 12:15pm in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 1:00pm in the church, 9th and Lehigh Streets in Easton. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Williams Twp.
Memorial Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church, 900 Washington St. Easton, PA 18042 in memory of Serafino.

Joseph Frinzi
(August 24, 1918 - June 1, 2011)
Joseph Frinzi, 92, formerly of Easton, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 1st in Gracedale Nursing Home.
Born: Joseph was born on August 24, 1918, in Easton, PA, a son of the late Anthony and Rosina (Boscia) Frinzi.
Personal: Joseph was the proprietor of the former Frinzi Charcoal Pit in Easton, retiring in 1981. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a Bronze Star Medal recipient. He fought in Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.
Memberships: Joseph was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the Holy Cross Society, Knights of Columbus, and various other clubs.
Survivors: Joseph is survived by his sisters Mary Bondonese and Anna Corona, both of Easton; and nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by sisters Fannie DePolo, and Mamie Montoro; brothers John, Salvatore and Angelo Frinzi.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Monday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a prayer service at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.

Mary D'Amelio
(July 23, 1922 - July 7, 2011)
Mary D’Amelio, 88, formerly of Easton, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 7th, in Gracedale Nursing Home.
Born: Mary was born on July 23, 1922, in Summit Hill, PA, a daughter of the late Andrew and Marotto Vane.
Personal: Mary worked as a Library Science teacher for Easton Area School District. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Kutztown University.
Memberships: Mary was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, and the Kutztown Alumni Association.
Survivors: Mary is survived by her sons Larry, David; daughter Joan Belinc; a sister Sarah; grandsons Michael D’Amelio, Frank H. Belinc; and a granddaughter Monet DiVentura. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph D’Amelio; sisters Lillian, Betty; sons Andrew and Raymond D’Amelio.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Monday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.

Gloria M. Rebmann
(June 29, 1929 - July 21, 2011)
Gloria M. Rebmann, 82, formerly of Palmer Twp., passed away on Thursday, July 21st in Chandler Estates Assisted Living in Wind Gap, PA.
Born: Gloria was born on June 29, 1929 in Martins Creek, PA, a daughter of the late Adam and Emma Diomedo Gasparetti.
Personal: Gloria was the wife of Charles R. Rebmann who passed away in 1984. She was a graduate of Easton High School, Class of 1947, and was retired from Country Miss in Forks Twp.
Memberships: Gloria was a member of St. Jane’s Catholic Church, Palmer Twp.
Survivors: Gloria is survived by her three daughters Bonnie M. Martin and her husband William of Wind Gap, Diane K. Yeisley and her husband Douglas of Jonas, PA, Christine A. Haag of Bowers Beach, DE; grandchildren Charles and Jennifer Martin, Katie Giblin, Jason and Joshua Haag. She was predeceased by brothers Albert and Arnold Gasparetti; and sister Dora DeAnnuntis.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Wednesday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 am in St. Jane’s Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton. Interment will be at Northampton Memorial Shrine.
