June Claire Wismer, Sr. , 84 of Easton, PA formerly of Riegelsville, PA went to her heavenly peace on December 6, 2014 after losing her battle with Alzheimers disease, at Praxis, in Easton.
Born: She was born in Phillipsburg, NJ, a daughter to the late Mervin and Claire (Grainer) Harkleroad.
Personal: June was a graduate of Easton High School the class of 1949. She was a director for the Red Cross for 25 years as director for services to military families and disasters . She retired in 1995. She was once named Women of the year by the Red Cross due to her tireless community service. Her love of Animals, motorcycles, stock car racing, in Nazareth and Middletown, was well known.
Survivors: June is survived by two daughters June Wismer Jr, of Wilison Boro., PA; and Gladys Rodenbough and her husband Barry, of Easton; a stepson: Chris Wismer and his wife Jane, of Easton; grandchildren: Stacy Miller and her husband Sherwin, Rachael Oliva and her husband Romeo, Lauren Rodenbough, Courtney Wismer, Erick Wismer and his wife Barbara, and Ryan Wismer; great grandchildren: Trevor Miller, Jasmine, Jade, Maddox, and Noah Oliva, Sarina and Sophia Wismer, Gomez and Christopher Devalero, Marley and Grady Wismer.
Predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth M. Wismer Sr., Stepson: Kenneth M. Wismer Jr and his wife Carol, and Step grandson: Kenneth M. Wismer III.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.)
Memorial Contribution: Contributions in Junes memory may be made to the center for Animal Health & Welfare at 1165 Island Park Rd. Easton, PA 18042 .

Elizabeth Celia
August 22, 1921 - December 11, 2014
Elizabeth Betty Celia, 93, formerly of Forks Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014 in Gracedale Nursing Home.
Born: Betty was born in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late James and Anna (Bubba) Christopher.
Personal: Betty is preceded in death by her first husband, Owen C. Shanks, and also her second husband, Louis Celia. She was a Sewing Machine Operator for the former Easton Trouser Co., and also the former Strongwear Pants Co., from where she retired many years ago.
Memberships: Betty was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and the Sacred Heart Sodality.
Survivors: Betty is survived by her daughters Anna M. DiSora and husband Ronald of Forks Twp., L. Jane Schoeneck and husband Enoch of Forks Twp.; grandchildren Tammy, Michael, Tara, Jennifer, David, Jonathan; and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to both her husbands, she is preceded in death by a daughter Marietta Celia; a sister Catherine Rutan; brothers Joseph and Paul Christopher.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Monday from 8:45 am to 9:45 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Twp.

Donald K. Thatcher
May 19, 1938 - December 13, 2014
Donald K. Muscles Thatcher, 76, of Easton, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014 in Manor Care Easton.
Born: Donald was born in Easton, PA, the son of the late Melvin M. and Helen (Hutnik) Thatcher.
Personal: Donald was a graduate of the Wilson High School Class of 1957. He was employed by the Ingersoll Rand Company in Phillipsburg, NJ for 37 years, spending 25 years on the Drill Floor and 12 years in the Maintenance Department. A lover of sports, Donald was an avid Yankees and Notre Dame football fan who also cheered on Lafayettes basketball and football teams. He also enjoyed walking and listening to WEST Radio.
Memberships: Donald was a member of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church. He was also a lifetime member of West Easton AA, Safety First West Easton Firehouse, Wilson Young Democratic club, and the Wilson Republican Club. Donald was a social member of the Lester Piefer Legion Post 611. He was also active in the Friends of Lafayette Maroon Club and the Notre Dame Fan Club.
Survivors: Donald is survived by nephews Joseph Haffner, Jr. of Phillipsburg and Stephen Haffner of Zionsville, nieces Darlene Yost of Bethlehem and Melvene Thatcher of West Easton. Donald is predeceased by his sister Melvene Haffner.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with a Panahyda service at 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Divine Liturgy at 10:45 am in Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, 315 4th Street, Easton, PA. Interment will be in Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Bethlehem Twp.
Memorials: Contributions may be made in Donalds memory to Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, 315 4th Street, Easton, PA 18042, or to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

Thomas J. Umholtz
July 11, 1954 - January 22, 2015
Thomas J. Umholtz, 60, of Easton, PA, loving husband, father and grandfather, wonderful son, brother, uncle and devoted friend passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at St. Lukes Anderson Campus.
Born: Thomas was born in Rahway, NJ a son of Claire Joyce (Mintel) Umholtz, and the late George Umholtz.
Personal: Thomas was married to the former Doreen Chianta, with whom he celebrated 36 years of marriage last October 7. He was a Marketing Manager for AT&T Corp. for 36 years. Thomas served as a board member of the Jeff Dailey Memorial Foundation. He was an avid Giants fan and loved his time with his family in Ocean City, MD and Newport Beach, CA. He also enjoyed bike riding with his wife. Thomas was a connoisseur of music and cars. He coached softball, soccer, and basketball for St. Janes CYO. He loved his honey, Doreen, and his hemi. He was adored by his grandchildren who called him their Ummy.
Memberships: Thomas was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, and the Commodities Club of Easton.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Thomas is survived by a daughter Kerri Vitale and husband Joseph; his sons Ryan Umholtz and wife Aileen, Brad Umholtz and wife Lauren; sisters Maryann Witty and husband Dean, Cathy Driscoll and husband Kevin, Nancy Stukey and husband Jim; a brother James Umholtz and wife Kathleen; grandchildren Gavin, Rosalyn, Gia; many nieces and nephews, and his California Family.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also Tuesday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 am at St. Jane Frances Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp. Interment will be private at a later date.

Dimitra N. Giacoumopoulos Achi
January 9, 1982 - January 24, 2015
Dimitra N. Giacoumopoulos Achi, 33, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in her home.
Born: Dimitra was born in Easton, PA, a daughter of Nick and Susan (Karam) Giacoumopoulos of Bethlehem, PA.
Personal: Dimitra was married to Elie Raymond Achi. She received her Bachelors Degree in History and Education from Moravian College. She was known for her generosity, compassion, and kindness. Most importantly she was a loving mother of two beautiful young girls, her pride and joy.
Memberships: Dimitra was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church and Hellenic Orthodox Annunciation Church of Wilson Boro.
Survivors: In addition to her parents and her husband, Dimitra is survived by her daughters Aya Sophia Achi, and Houda Achi, both at home; a sister Anastasia Giacoumopoulos of Philadelphia, PA. She is also survived by uncles, aunts, and cousins in the United States, Lebanon, Greece and Australia.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with Prayer of the Incense at 7:45 pm. An additional calling hour will be held on Thursday from 9:30 am 10:30 am in Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4th & Ferry Streets, Easton, PA, followed by a Divine Liturgy on Thursday at 10:30 am in the church. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp).
Memorial Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dimitras memory may be made to Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church, 55 South 4th Street, Easton, PA 18042, or to Hellenic Orthodox Annunciation Church, 319 S. 20th Street, Easton, PA 18042.

Vallabhdas B. Fuletra
June 20, 1963 - January 25, 2015
Vallabhdas B. Fuletra, 51, of Edison, NJ, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 in St. Peters University Hospital.
Born: Vallabhdas was born in Limbuda, India, a son of Bhagvanji and Ujam (Mingrajiya) Fuletra of India.
Personal: He was married to the former Shila Kantesariya. He worked as a gas station attendant for Exxon.
Survivors: In addition to his parents and his wife, Vallabhdas is survived by a son Dr. Gaurang Fuletra; a daughter Khushbu Fuletra; brothers Chimanlac Fuletra of India, Dr. Govindji Fuletra of Bethlehem, and Mansukh Fuletra of India.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Friday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Samuel T. Heard
September 10, 1938 - January 20, 2015
Samuel T. Heard, 76, of Alexandria Manor, Nazareth, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in St. Lukes Hospital, Anderson Campus.
Born: Sam was born on September 10, 1938 in Easton, PA, a son of the late Clifford H. Heard, Sr and Charlotte (Herring) Heard.
Personal: Sam attended Bangor High School. He worked for the former American Can Co. (the former Dixie Cup) as a printing press operator for 29 years before retirement. He was very involved with the West Easton AA.
Survivors: Sam is survived by a daughter Charlene Stapert and husband Jeff of Tatamy, PA; a son Mark Heard and wife Mitzi of Florence, Co; his beloved grandchildren David and Andrew Stapert, Bailey and Evan Heard, and Cortlyne Huppe; a sister Charlotte (Amato) DePaolo of Pen Argyl, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his companion Anna Iachini, and eight brothers and sisters.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sams memory may be made to American Heart Association, 212 E. Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.

John C. Scalzo
August 28, 1931 - January 20, 2015
John C. Scalzo, 83, of Williams Twp., PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in Blough Health Care Center.
Born: John was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late Joseph and Rose (Alfero) Scalzo.
Personal: John was married to the former Connie Chiavetta before her passing in November 2009. He was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1949. John served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a letter carrier for the US Postal service, before retiring in 1998.
Memberships: John was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church.
Survivors: John is survived by a daughter Lisa Ross and husband Jeffrey of Orefield, PA; a son Joseph Scalzo of Hawaii; a sister Josephine Cookie Thomas of Easton, PA; grandchildren Adrienne and Jacob Ross. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by a brother Carl Scalzo; sisters Theresa Schooley, and Rose Marie Kauth.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Twp.

Inez Anne Heller
September 14, 1929 - January 24, 2015
Inez Anne Heller, 85, of Easton, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in Westminster Village.
Born: Inez was born on September 14, 1929 in Alpha, NJ, a daughter of the late Enrico and Concetta (Egotelmo) Savini.
Personal: Inez was married to John E. Heller until his passing in 2005.
Memberships: Inez was a member of St. Anthony of Paduas Catholic Church.
Survivors: Inez is survived by sons John E. Heller, Jr. of Bethlehem Twp. and Richard J. Heller and wife Shara of Palmer Twp.; daughters Logie Heller of Easton, Sharon Wilcox and husband Paul of Charlottesville, VA, and Jody Amato of Bethlehem Twp.; grandchildren Nicole Medina, Jaqueline Heller, Rebecca Heller, and Lauren Heller; and great-grandchild Faith Matos. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by brother Frank Grazino, sister Mary Pelonero, and first husband Joseph Amato.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a funeral service in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
