Timothy Clark Kuzma

Timothy Clark Kuzma, 38, of Hopewell Twp., passed away Friday, Dec. 10, 2004.

Born June 11, 1966 in Aliquippa, PA, he is a son of Daniel J. and Susan A. Kuzma, Hopewell Twp.. He was an independent concrete finisher, who completed various projects. Tim was a computer genius and musician who loved playing guitar. He was very talented and was able to play a variety of different instruments. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan. He was a loved husband, great father and devoted son who will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Diane Kuzma, Hopewell Twp.; two sons, Dylan Kuzma, Ohio and Isaac Kuzma, Hopewell Twp.; a daughter, Ginger Kuzma, Colorado; three brothers, Daniel P. Kuzma, California, Andrew J. Kuzma and wife Suzanne, Center Twp. and David A. Kuzma and wife Julie, Virginia; a mother-in-law, Judith Gentry, Las Vegas; a father-in-law, Norm Hawkins and wife Shelly, California. He is also survived by his special dog, Angel, as well as several aunts and uncles.

Friends will be received on Monday from 1-3 and 7-9pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10am, with Rev. Andy Shaffer officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

Flavia Ranieri

Flavia Ranieri, 86, of Glenwillard, PA, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004 at the Mariner Health of West Hills.

Born June 30, 1918 in Commune di Pacentro, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Angeline Mastrangelo. Flavia was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by two daughters, Marie Ciarallo, Moon Twp. and Angie Gorton and husband Ken, Moon Twp.; a son, Michael Ranieri and wife Mary Ann, Center Twp.; a brother, Pasqualino “Patsy” Mastrangelo and wife Caroline, Center Twp.; seven grandchildren, Phyllis, Frank, Chris, Michael, Kenny, John and Chuck; four great-grandchildren, Pam, Tyler, Joey and Nicolas. She was also survived by a special friend, Virginia Selelyo, as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Frank Ranieri, two grandchildren, Anthony and Matthew; a great-grandson, Matthew; a son-in-law, George Ciarallo and a grandson-in-law, Bob Esch.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa, where a service will be held on Thursday at 9:30am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in the St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

Clement A. Naber

Clement A. Naber, 94, formerly of Cheektowaga, NY, passed away Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004 in the Franciscan Manor.

Born Oct. 25, 1910 in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late William and Bertha Naber he was a member of the Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Cheektowaga, NY. He was a treasurer of Calspan Corporation in Cheektowaga. Clement was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.

He is survived by a son, James Naber and wife Norma, Seattle, WA; a daughter, Judith Steinagle and husband Norman, Center Twp. five grandchildren, David Naber, Los Angeles, Matthew Naber, London, Michael Steinagle, Port St. Lucie, FL, Susan Klenovich and husband Robert, Ohioville and Mark Steinagle and wife Laura, Plum Borough; three great-grandchildren, Andrew and Matthew Klenovich and Alexandra Steinagle.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Clara Naber and a brother, Milton Naber.

A private service will be held in Buffalo, NY. Arrangements are being handled by the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa.

Interment will follow in the Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery in Cheektowaga, NY.

Carl P. Dito, Jr.

Carl P. Dito, Jr. of Hopewell Twp. was born to Carl and Josephine (Jenaway) Dito in Mt. Braddock, PA on Sept. 26, 1919. As he grew up during the Depression, he took the jobs available in the area, building roads for the WPA and making radiators at the local plant. He met and married Rachael Beckett in 1940 and eventually had a daughter, Connie and a son Carl. During WW II, he was an artillery and rifle instructor for the Army at Ft. McClellan, AL.

After the war, he came to Aliquippa and worked for the A&S; Railroad, eventually retiring as their yardmaster. He also drove school busses for the Hopewell and Center Area School Districts. After retirement Carl and Rachael traveled extensively until her untimely death in 1994. He maintained his involvement with the Hopewell Lions Club and Aliquippa Elks, including a term as Exalted Ruler.

He passed away at the age of 85 on Jan. 20, 2005 from post-operative complications, leaving both children, 2 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, along with his great friend, Wanda Mihalek.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa.

Interment will be held on Monday at Sylvan Heights Cemetery in Uniontown, PA.

The Aliquippa Elks Lodge 1221 will be conducting a service on Saturday at 4pm.

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Casey

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Casey, 80, of Aliquippa, PA, passed away, Friday, January 21, 2005 in the Aliquippa Community Hospital.

Born Sept. 13, 1924 in Aliquippa, PA, a daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Cantanzarite, she was a member of the St. Titus Catholic Church, Aliquippa. Betty was a homemaker throughout her life. She enjoyed evenings out, dancing with her former husband, Walter Casey. She was also known for her stunning beauty and incredible sense of style. Betty was a loving daughter, wife, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two sisters, Mary P. Glomb and her husband Andy, Hopewell and Angie Garofalo, Aliquippa, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Casey; a sister, Anna Marie Yatson and two brothers Frank and Rocco Cantanzarite.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa, where a service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in the St. Titus Catholic Church.

Entombment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park.

James H. Findley, Jr.

James H. Findley, Jr., 54, of South Heights, PA, passed away Friday, January 21, 2005 in the Aliquippa Community Hospital.

Born Oct. 18, 1950 in Washington, PA, a son of Jacqueline Findley and the late James Findley, Sr., he was a US Army Veteran who proudly served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending quality time with his family, especially his mother whom he took care of for years. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother he is survived by two sisters, Jacqueline Galton, Economy and Danette Sutter, South Heights, PA. He was also survived by his special friends Mike and Sandy Willey, Hookstown.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Robert W. Findley and a sister, Katherine George.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 11am until the time of the service at 12pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa.

A private interment will follow in the John Anderson Cemetery.

The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at the funeral home on Wednesday at 12pm to provide military honors.

Tonino “Tony” Letteri

Tonino ”Tony”Letteri, 82 of West Aliquippa passed away Thursday March 3, 2005 in the St. Joseph Care Center, Louisville, OH.

Born Jan. 8, 1923 in Sulmona, Italy, a son of the late Vincenzo and Assunta Letteri, he was a member of the St. Titus Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the St. Anthony Congregation and Sons of Italy. Tony was a gift from God not only to his family but to the church and entire community as well. He blessed so many people with his generosity, charming smile and beautiful voice which was heard throughout the church every week. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by a sister, Josephine (Letteri) Marcantonio and husband Concezio, Louisville, OH; a niece, Mary Kynkor, N. Canton, OH; two nephews, Philip J. Marcantonio and wife Peggy, N. Canton, OH and Anthony R. Marcantonio, Louisvillle, OH; four great nieces, Ashley, Alexandria, Adrianna Marcantonio, N. Canton, OH and Nicci Kynkor N. Canton, OH and a great nephew, Philip J. Marcantonio III, N. Canton, OH. He is also survived by a number of close friends.

Friends will be received on Friday from 5-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa, where a service will be held on Saturday at 9am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in the St. Titus Catholic Church.

Entombment will follow in the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tony’s name to the St. Titus Catholic Church, 952 Franklin Avenue, Aliquippa, PA 15001.

The Holy Name Society will meet in the funeral home on Friday at 6pm to provide a rosary service.

Antonia “Ann” J. Zivitz

Antonia “Ann” Zivitz, 93, of Aliquippa, PA passed away Thursday, March 4, 2005 in the Hunter’s Personal Care Home.

Born March 28, 1911 in Aliquippa, PA, a daughter of the late George and Jennie Turkovich, she was a member of the St. Titus Catholic Church. Ann was a former member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 720, where she was a member of the Ladies Auxillary and was also the Nest Manager for many years. She was also a member of the Jadran Singing Choir. Ann will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by a sister, Barbara Agich, Aliquippa; ten nieces and nephews, Peg Andrews, Aliquippa, Patty Biskup, Center Twp., Bob Agich, Scottsdale, Ariz, Joanne Agich, Hopewell Twp., Joyce D’Allasandris, Dayton, OH, Bill Mann, Sufferin, NY, Mary Kay Patterson,, Hopewell Twp., Bonnie Heitzerater, Ambridge, Cindy Magnotta, Monaca and Anna Mae Fudjak, New Brighton.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, William J. Zivitz; a brother, Steve Turkovich and three sisters, Mary Carver, Jennie Mann and Tillie Carney.

Friends will be received on Monday from 4-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa, where a service will be held on Tuesday at 9am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30am in the St. Titus Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in the Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hunter’s Personal Care Home for their excellent care and love of Ann.

Donna Jean (Provident) Paranay Independence Twp.

Donna Jean Paranay, 43, of Independence Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 4, 2005.

Born October 11, 1961 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of John Provident and Shirley Provident, she was a member of the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Hopewell Twp. She was also a member of the Hopewell VFW and was a former employee at Bayer Inc. She will be dearly missed by her family and numerous friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Christina Provident, Oklahoma; four brothers, John and Pat Provident, Pittsburgh, Tim Provident and wife Lisa, Belle Vernon, Dan Provident and wife Shelley, Pittsburgh; a sister, Cheryl Kerrigan and husband Kent, Pittsburgh; a mother-in-law, Dolores Paranay, Pittsburgh; a brother-in-law, Bill Paranay and wife Debbie, Economy Borough; two sisters-in-law, Marian Norris and husband Gary, Keystone Heights, FL and Carolyn Paranay, Pittsburgh. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Andrew “Dewey” Paranay and her father-in-law, William Paranay.

Friends will be received on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 264o Mill St., Aliquippa, where a service will be held on Thursday at 9:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am in the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in the Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

ALBERT J. DUDASH, JR.

Albert J. Dudash, Jr., 61, of Hopewell Twp., passed away Monday March 7, 2005.

Born April 6, 1943 in Sewickley, PA a son of the late Albert J. Dudash Sr. and Rose M. (Tapolski) Dudash, he was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Albert practiced law as a litigating attorney for 35 years. He served as a defense attorney for 20 years, and served as Assistant District Attorney in Beaver County for 15 years. He was an active member of his church, as well as the Holy Name Society. He was also an active volunteer in local political campaigns. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, and brother who will be missed by all.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Marie T. (Bradford) Dudash, Hopewell Twp.; two sons, John D. Dudash and his wife, Rachael, Cranberry Twp., and Patrick A. Dudash, Hopewell Twp.; two daughters, Rosemarie T. Dudash, Crafton, PA and Elizabeth A. Dudash, Waite Park, MN.; two grandchildren, Katelyn and Alex Dudash, Cranberry Twp.; a brother, Bob Dudash and his wife Jacqueline, Reading, PA; his father-in-law, David H. Bradford, New Brighton; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Arlene Carroll, New Brighton; a niece and nephew, Ali and Frank Dudash; and a nephew, John T. Carroll.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 7-9pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa PA where a service will be conducted Friday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima School, 2270 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa PA 15001.

Mrs. Rose M. (Tapolski) Dudash

Rose M. (Tapolski), 83, of Hopewell, PA passed away Wednesday, March 09, 2005 in the Sewickley Valley Hospital.

Born May 30, 1921 in Gilchrist, Illinois, a daughter of the late George and Susan Tapolski, she was a member of the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Hopewell Twp, where she was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mother’s. Mrs. Rose Dudash was also a fourth grade English teacher and Parish Catechist at the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School for thirty years. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by a son Bob Dudash and wife Jackie; a daughter-in-law, Marie T. Dudash; a brother, Steve Tapolski and wife Evelyn; a sister, Margaret Sabatini and husband Lee; three grandsons, John D. Dudash and wife Rachael, Patrick A. Dudash, and Frank J. Dudash; three granddaughters, Rosemarie T. Dudash, Elizabeth A. Dudash, and Alicia J. Dudash; two great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Alex Dudash.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Albert J. Dudash, Sr. and a son Albert J. Dudash, Jr.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill St., where a service will be held on Saturday at 9:30am, followed by a Mass OF Christian burial at 10am in the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in the Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rose’s name to the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, 2270 Brodhead Rd., Aliquippa, PA 15001.

The Christian Mother’s will meet in the funeral home on Thursday at 2:30pm to recite the rosary.
