Walter L. Williams
Walter L. Williams, 92, formerly of Main Street, Emerald, died Monday in the Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown. He was the husband of the late Ida L. (Lichtenwalner) Williams.
A carpenter, he built barns, using the peg and dowel method, in Lehigh and Northampton counties until retiring.
Born in Emerald, he was a son of the late Roger B. and Minnie L. (Lloyd) Williams.
He was a member of Jacobıs United Church of Christ, Jacksonville, and a life member of the Star Hose Company No. 1, Emerald.
Surviving are two sons, James P. and Preston R., both of Slatington; two daughters, Grace I.L., wife of Robert R. Lewis of Slatington, and Rosalie B. Billheimer of Coplay; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Walter L.
Kelly services
A memorial service for Roderick Kelly, 63, of 49 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, who died Jan. 15 in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton, will be held at non Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe.

Katie May Kleppinger
Katie May Kleppinger, 82, formerly of 369 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, died Monday in Weatherwood, the Carbon County Home for the Aged in Weatherly.
Born in East Penn Township, she was a daughter of the late John Isaac and Sarah Mae (Hoffman) Clements Kleppinger.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving is a daughter, Maxine, wife of Donald A. Mertz of Jim Thorpe; three sisters, Sarah Danyo of Lehighton, Constance, wife of James Hoffman of Andreas, and Margaret "Peggy", wife of Daniel Smith of Tamaqua.
Also three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Paul Sniscak
Paul "Casey" Sniscak, 83, of 35 W. Vernon St., Summit Hill, died Tuesday in the Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale. He was the husband of the late Valeria (O'Gurek) Sniscak, who died in December.
He was last employed by the former Summit Hill Marble and Granite Company for many years, and previously had worked for the Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company and the Summit Hill Water Authority.
Born in Lansford, he was a son of the late Michael and Anna (Serula) Sniscak.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, and St. Michael Catholic Church, Lansford.
Sniscak was the announcer for the Summit Hill Little League Association's baseball games for the past 25 years.
He also served in the Civilian Conservation Camps.
Surviving are four daughters, Joan, wife of Paul Yuricheck Jr., and Barbara, wife of Perry Shelton, both of Summit Hill, Margaret, wife of Joseph Novak of Allentown, and Paulette, wife of Joseph Weber of Bath; a brother George of Shenandoah; a sister, Rose O'Gorman of Lansford; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson.
He was also preceded in death by six brothers, Michael, Andrew, John, Joseph, Steven and Frank; and five sisters, Mary, Margaret, Martha and Helen Sniscak, and Anna Couture.

M. Matthew Zaboy
M. Matthew Zaboy, 78, of Allentown, died Tuesday in his home. He was the husband of Mary E. (Cunningham) Zaboy. They observed their 51st wedding anniversary in November.
He worked in the photography department of the former Lehigh Type Setting, Allentown, for 26 years before retiring in 1980. Previously, he and his wife owned and operated the Zaboy Photo Studio, Allentown.
Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Macej and Josefa (Tarnawska) Zaboy.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown, where he was a former committee member of Cub Pack 77.
Zaboy was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Surviving in addition to his widow are four sons, Paul J. of Stockertown, Michael J. of Manteca, Calif., William T. of New Tripoli and Neil A. of Tillicum, Wash.; a daughter Mariellen, wife of Randall Pence of Pennsburg; a brother Paul of Allentown; two sisters, Verna, wife of Stanley Bankowski of Breinigsville, and Helen, wife of Robert Miller of Pierre, S.D.; and seven grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Matthew James, who died in 1995.
Mrs. Marjorie M. Rinker
Mrs. Marjorie M. Rinker, 82, of Washington Street, Slatington, died Tuesday in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the widow of Hugh M. Rinker.
She was an elementary teacher in the Northampton Area School District for 33 years before retiring in 1980, and previously had taught in the Whitehall-Coplay School District for five years.
Born in Egypt, she was a daughter of the late Roy E. and Lillian (Cope) Stewart.
She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Slatington.
She was a 1932 graduate of the former Kutztown Normal School and also attended East Stroudsburg University.
Mrs. Rinker was a past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter No. 458, Slatington, and a past president of the Slatington Women's Club.
She was a life member of the Retired Public School Teachers Association, Northampton County, and the Lehigh County Retired Public School Employees Association.
She was a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Retired School Teachers, Harrisburg, and the General Federation of Women's Clubs of Pennsylvania.
Surviving are a son, Hugh D. of Slatington; a daughter, Charlotte E., wife of Richard A. Reitz of Williamsport; a sister Elizabeth, wife of George C. Dorward of Schnecksville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Howard A. Boyer
Howard A. Boyer, 67, of 256 Meadowlark Court, Marco Island, Fla., died Monday in the Naples Community Hospital, Naples, Fla. He was the husband of Cynthia (Cooper) Boyer.
He worked at Allied Chemical Company, Morristown, N.Y., until retiring in 1987.
Born in Bowmanstown, he was a son of the late E. Frank and Mabel A. (Kistler) Boyer.
He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Naples, and a past commander of the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla No. 95, Naples, and a board member of the Marco Bay Yacht Club.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter, Martha Jean of Farmington, Conn.; two sons, David H. of Falls Church, Va., and Karl W. of Marco Island; two brothers, Charles E. of Bethlehem and Warren of Arlington, Tex.; a stepdaughter Beth, wife of Robert Skaff of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a stepson, Stephen Mildrum of Chalfant, Allegheny County; two grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Howard A. Boyer, 67, of 256 Meadowlark Court, Marco Island, Fla., who died Monday in Naples, Fla., will be held 1 p.m. Saturday in St. John United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton, followed by interment in the Towamensing Cemetery, Palmerton. Mrs. Marilyn Gull
Mrs. Marilyn James Gull of Glen Cove, N.Y., and Harbor Ridge, Fla., died Tuesday in the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York City, N.Y. She was the widow of Anthony Gull Jr.
Born in Lansford, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter James.
Surviving are a daughter Lynne of New York City; a son, Anthony III of Locust Valley, L.I.; and a sister, Mrs. Robert Lewis of Lansford.
Services will be held in New York City.
James M. Cappos
James M. Cappos, 94, formerly of 115 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, died today in the Lehigh Manor, Macungie. He was the husband of Florence (Morgan) Cappos.
Prior to retiring, he owned and operated the Rialto Restaurant in Lansford.
Born in Greece, he was a son of the late Michael and Tula Cappos.
Cappos was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Surviving with his widow are two daughters, Helen Smith of Alburtis and Constance, wife of William Price of Bear, Del.; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
He was preceeded in death by two brothers, Peter and George Cappos, and two sisters, Constance Calameris and Tula Cappos.

Mrs. Thelma (Major) Butt, 73, formerly of Tamaqua, died today in Winston-Salem, N.C. She was the wife of Bernard Butt,
She was a graduate of Tamaqua High School.
Surviving, with her husband, is a daughter, Janice Childress, at home; two sons, Brian of Oregon and Bruce of Georgia; three sisters, Mildred Miller of Hometown, Tamaqua R.2, Beatrice Miller of Philadelphia and Elizabeth Lindenmuth of Reading; and eight grandchildren.
Mrs. Beatrice A. Gilmore
Mrs. Beatrice A. Gilmore, 91, of 50 N. Malin Rd., Broomall, Chester County, died Wednesday in the I.H.S. Nursing Home, Broomall. She was the widow of Arthur C. Gilmore, who died in 1981.
Prior to retiring, she was a teacher in the Belvidere School District, Belvidere, N.J.
Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late Bengt and Emelia (Johnson) Nelson.
She was a member of Meeds United Methodist Church, Nesquehoning.
Mrs. Gilmore was a graduate of the former Nesquehoning High School and Bloomsburg College.
Surviving are a son Arthur of Gig Harbor, Wash.; a sister, Olga Nelson of Broomall; and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Ethel Roosevelt Seymour, 88, formerly of New Ringgold, died Monday in the St. Mary Nursing Center, Leonardtown, Md. She was the widow of John Seymour, who died July 29, 1983.
Born in St. Clair, she was a daughter of the late James and Nellie (Perry) Willingham.
She was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church, Leonardtown.
Surviving are a son, Edward P. Meyers, of Lexington Park, Md., with whom she resided since 1983; a brother, Theodore Willingham, of San Antonio, Tex.; and a grandson.

Mrs. Mae H. Houser, 98, formerly of Tamaqua, died Wednesday in the Cedarbrook Nursing Center, Allentown. She was the widow of Edward C. Houser, former Schuylkill County controller.
Born in Tamaqua, she was a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Ruth (Heath) Howells.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tamaqua.
Mrs. Houser was a graduate of Tamaqua High School and attended McCann School of Business, Mahanoy City.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Lou, wife of Bruce C. Phillips of Allentown; a son Philip of New York City, N.Y.; a sister, Ruth Derr of Detroit, Mich.; two granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
