Pennsylvania Obituary and Marriage Records, 1947-2010

Mrs. Mary A. Domin
Mrs. Mary A. Domin, 75, of Catasauqua, died Monday at the Manor Care II, Bethlehem. She was the widow of Wendell V. Domin, who died in 1992.
Born in Heilwood, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Lenart) Minarovich.
She retired in 1982 after working many years for the Boise Cascade Co. in Allentown.
She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in North Catasauqua and the church's Young at Heart group. She was also a member of the Jednota Club of North Catasauqua.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Toole of Bethlehem, Carolyn, wife of Dr. Michael Bolognese of Gaithersburg, Md., and Kathryn of Oakland, Ca.; a brother, Joseph Minarovich of Jamestown, N.Y., and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a son, Tom.
The John H. Brubaker Funeral Home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua, is in charge of arrangements.

Michael P. Mizak
Michael P. Mizak, 83, of 322 E. Fell St., Summit Hill, died Sunday in the Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale. He was the husband of Eleanor (Bulanda) Mizak. They observed their 56th wedding anniversary last month.
He worked at the Pottstown-Bethlehem Coal Mines before retiring, and previously had been employed at the No. 6 breaker of the Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company.
Born in Lansford, he was a son of the late John and Susan (Brunda) Mizak.
He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Lansford.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Michael J. of Allentown; two daughters, Mary Ann, wife of George Timko of Nazareth, and Eleanor, wife of Paul Horutz of Palm Coast, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Rev. Joseph.
The Thomas J. Parambo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jeffrey M. Chintala
Jeffrey M. Chintala, 39, of East Fallowfield Township, Chester County, died Saturday in the Brandywine Hospital and Trauma Center, Coatesville, Chester County. He was the husband of Carol L. (Vollmer) Chintala.
He was a regional operations manager for Starr Building Services, Wilmington, Del.
Born in Hazleton, he was a son of Joseph H. and Mary Louise (Sulkevich) Chintala of Beaver Meadows.
The deceased was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, Parkesburg, Chester County.
He was a graduate of West Chester University.
Surviving in addition to his widow and parents are a daughter, Nicole E., and a son, Alexander A., both at home; a sister, Desiree Eastgate of Palmerton; and paternal grandmother, Mary Capparell of Hanleigh.

Mrs. Jean A. Allen
Mrs. Jean A. Allen, 46, of 445 Main St., Walnutport, died Sunday in the Palmerton Hospital. She was the widow of William Allen.
She was a winder for the former Baer Silk Mill, Lehighton.
Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of Mrs. Pauline G. (David) Hill of Lehighton and the late Harold R. Hill.
She was of the Protestant faith.
Surviving in addition to her mother are two brothers, Terry R. of Weatherly and Todd D. of Lehighton; and two sisters, Shirley A., wife of Thomas Teets of Whitehall Township, and Joan C., wife of Arthur Laury of Lehighton.
The Kenneth N. Phifer Funeral Home, Third and Alum streets, Lehighton, is in charge of the arrangements.

Boyer infant
Emily Rose Boyer, 6-day-old daughter of Eran G. Boyer and Wendy M. Snyder, both of New Tripoli, died Friday in the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
She was born in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
Surviving in addition to her parents are maternal grandparents, Edward and Donna Snyder, and paternal grandparents, Gary and Charlene Boyer, all of New Tripoli; maternal great-grandparents, Sterling and Eleanor Snyder of Kempton and Betty and Curtis Kistler of Macungie; paternal great-grandparents, Norman Boyer of Macungie and Norman and Betty Hillegass of Alburtis; and her paternal great-great-grandfather, Russell Hoch of Macungie.

Mrs. Freelie S. Henritzy
Mrs. Freelie S. Henritzy, 91, of New Tripoli, died Saturday afternoon in the Phoebe Home, 1925 Turner St., Allentown, where she was a patient for the past six weeks. She was the widow of Russell G. Henritzy, who died in 1954.
She and her husband were the former co-owners of the Blue Ridge Inn, New Tripoli, from 1945 to 1958.
Born in Albany Township, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Alvesta (Kunkel) Hamm.
She was a member of the UCC Congregation of New Bethel Union Church, Kempton R.2; and the Ontelaunee Rod & Gun Club and the New Tripoli Fire Company, both of New Tripoli.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Elda N. Follweiler of the Phoebe Home, Allentown; two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Wayne S. Hermany, who died in 1955; and a sister, Alma D. Hamm, who died in 1988.
The Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Rt. 143, Jacksonville, New Tripoli, is in charge of the arrangements.

Zeno G.D. Snyder
Zeno G.D. Snyder, 93, of Lehigh Drive, Walnutport, died Friday in the Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Annie E. (Hunsicker) Snyder.
He was a railroad brakeman and conductor for the former New Jersey Zinc Company, Palmerton, for 47 years before retiring in 1968. He was also a farmer in Lehigh Township for most of his life.
Born in Slatington, he was a son of the late Alvin and Rosa (Weir) Snyder.
He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ at Indianland, Cherryville, and the International Order of Odd Fellows, Schnecksville.
Surviving are a son, Carl C. of Palmerton; two grandsons and seven great-grandchildren.

Homer J. Bruch Jr.
Homer J. Bruch Jr., 80, of Walnutport Court, David Street, Lehigh Township, died Saturday in the Palmerton Hospital. He was the husband of Frances L. (McCrady) Bruch. They observed their 55th wedding anniversary in February.
He was a crane operator for Ingersoll Rand, Phillipsburg, N.J., for 15 years before retiring in 1979, and previously had worked for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 15 years.
Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Homer J. Sr. and Sarah (Huber) Bruch.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter, Penny L., at home; two sons, Larry E. of Danielsville and James H. of Walnutport; two brothers, Robert of Bethlehem and Elwood of Nazareth; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Mrs. Grace S. Williams
Mrs. Grace S. Williams, 93, of Heilman House, Topton, formerly of Slatington, died Friday in the Henry Health Care Center of the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of Robert B. Williams.
A 1925 graduate of the former Palmerton Hospital School of Nursing, she was a registered nurse and nursing supervisor from 1925 to the 1970s, last working at the Allentown Osteopathic Hospital. Previously, she was employed by the Lutheran Home, Germantown, and the Palmerton Hospital.
Born in Ashfield, she was a daughter of the late James J. and Annie (Rehrig) Balliet.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Topton, and was a volunteer at the Lutheran Home at Topton for many years.
Surviving are a son, Richard R. of Slatington; two brothers, Frederick G. of Nazareth and Ralph L. of Bethlehem; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Michael R. Kostelansky
Michael R. Kostelansky, 74, of Laflin, formerly of Lansford, died July 30 at Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale. He was the husband of Stella (Kozuch) Kostelansky. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary last October.
Before retiring he was employed as a loan examiner for 25 years by the Veterans Administration in Wilkes-Barre and Philadelphia.
Born in Lansford he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Kovacik) Kostelansky.
A graduate of the former Lansford High School, he also attended Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre.
He served with the United States Marines, Fourth Division, during World War II.
He was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church in Laflin.
Surviving with his wife are two sons, Atty. Michael R. of Laflin; Ronald of Pittston; one brother, Joseph of Hazlet, N.J.; two sisters, Anna Kostelansky and Mary, wife of Connie Solarczyk, both of Lansford; and eight grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, John.
Funeral services were held Saturday in Plains, Luzerne County.

W. Melvin Moyer
W. Melvin "Mush" Moyer, 86, of 640 Mahoning Drive East, Mahoning Township, died Monday in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. He was the husband of Mary L. (Drumbore) Moyer. They observed their 59th wedding anniversary in April.
He was president of Moyer & Haupt Ford, Lehighton, before retiring after 41 years of service in 1986, when the business was purchased by the Bennett Organization.
Moyer formed a partnership in 1932 with Earl J. Haupt as Moyer & Haupt Trucking Co.; became president of Moyer & Haupt Ford Dealership, Lehighton, in 1945; and, in 1957, acquired an American Motors dealership in Lehighton.
Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late Herbert and Dehlia (Hess) Moyer.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lehighton.
Moyer was a past vice president of the Carbon County Loan & Finance Company and the Pocono Acres Real Estate Company; a charter member of the Mahoning Valley Fire Company; and a member of the National Rifle Association, Lake Harmony Owners Association and the Lake Harmony Fire Company.
A musician, he performed with various orchestras and formed The Lehightonians between 1928-42.
His widow is his only survivor.
The Kenneth N. Phifer Funeral Home, Third and Alum streets, Lehighton, is in charge of the arrangements.

W. Melvin "Mush" Moyer, 86, of 640 Mahoning Drive East, Mahoning Township, who died Monday in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton, was also president of M & H Marine, a Lehighton sporting equipment business.
