George A. Smith
George A. Smith, age 73, of Orefield PA, formerly of Passaic NJ, died Tuesday, December 31, 2002 in his home. He was the husband of Mary Regina (Bodnar) Smith. The couple celebrated their 29th Wedding Anniversary last March.

Born in Northumberland County PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary A. (Federiski) Smith. He was a Sergeant with the Passaic Police Department in Passaic NJ for 28 years before retiring in 1981. He was a Member of St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield PA. He was also a Member of the New Jersey Police Benevolent Association # 14.

He is survived by his Wife; Daughter, Mary Ellen Shakoor of Wayne NJ; sons , Robert Smith of Clifton NJ and Brian Smith of New York City NY; brothers , Michael Smith of San Diego CA and John Smith of Englewood FL; Step daughters , Marianne E. Warren of Orefield PA, Teresa R. Baron-Ortiz of Orefield PA and Kim M. Kiermaier of Erie PA; Step Son, Daniel E. Thompson of Marietta GA; 3 Grandchildren, 7 Step Grandchildren and 5 Step Great Grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 06, 2003 in the Church. There are no Calling Hours. The Reverend Monsignor Robert J. Wargo Celebrant. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville PA. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville PA.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church c/o the Funeral Home, PO Box 196, Schnecksville PA 18078-0196.

Gladys I. (Emig) Snyder
Gladys I. (Emig) Snyder, age 83, of Allentown PA, died Saturday, January 31, 2004 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, 17th & Chew Streets, Allentown PA. She was the Wife of Clifford J. Snyder. The couple celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this past September.

Born in Hellam PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence D. and E. Susan (Blessing) Emig. She was a Homemaker. She was a Member of Christ Lutheran Church, Allentown PA.

She is survived by her Husband; Daughter, Mary J. Snyder at home; Son, G. Richard Snyder of Northampton PA; Sister, Marian E. Hoffman of Fairbanks AK; and 2 Grandsons, Ryan C. Snyder and Matthew E. Snyder.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2004 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA. Family and Friends may Call 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Funeral Home. The Reverend Dr. Samuel R. Zeiser officiating. Interment in Lower Towamensing Cemetery, Palmerton PA.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church Memorial Fund c/o the Funeral Home, PO Box 196, Schnecksville PA 18078-0196.

George W. Swartz, Sr.
George W. Swartz, Sr., age 84, of 1050 Main Street, Hellertown PA, died Monday, January 28, 2002 in his home. He was the Husband of Mildred R. (Rhoads) Swartz. The couple celebrated their 63rd Wedding Anniversary last April.

Born in Stowe PA, he was the Son of the late Charles H. and Minnie (Rickert) Swartz. He was a Brakeman for the P.B.& NE Railroad at the Bethlehem Steel Co. for 34 years, retiring in 1978. He was of the Protestant Faith.

He is survived by his Wife; sons , George W. Swartz, Jr. of Bethlehem PA, David A. Swartz of Bethlehem PA and Jeffrey A. Swartz of Allentown PA; Daughter, Shirley A. Weaver of Bethlehem PA; 10 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. He is predeceased in death by his Daughter, Sarah Jane Reccek who died in 1992.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 1, 2002 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown. Family and Friends may call 10 - 11 a.m. Friday in the Funeral Home. The Reverend Thomas A. Vega-Neel officiating. Interment in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association Lehigh Valley Chapter, 2045 Westgate Drive, Bethlehem PA 18017 and/or the American Cancer Society Lehigh Valley Unit, PO Box 90127, Allentown PA 18109-0127.

Harold C. "Iggy" Snyder
Harold C. "Iggy" Snyder, age 79, of Wassergass Road, Hellertown PA, died Monday, January 13, 2003 in his home. He was the Husband of Doris M. (Grow) Snyder. The couple celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary last July.

Born in Bethlehem PA, he was the son of the late Herman W. and Sadie (Daniel) Snyder. He worked in the Bethlehem Steel in the 48" Rolling Mills, retiring in 1984 after 33 years of service.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. He was a Member of the New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lower Saucon Township PA. He was also a Member of the Edward H. Ackerman Post 397, Hellertown PA and a Life Member of the Jefferson Democratic Club, Bethlehem PA.

He is survived by his Wife; Son, Earl R. Snyder of Bethlehem PA; Daughter, Cynthia J. Rule of Mechanicsburg PA; and 3 Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2003 in the New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3233 Apple Church Road, Bethlehem PA. Family and Friends may call 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA, and 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Church. Interment in Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Church, 18015.

Howard E.H. Stettler
Howard E.H. Stettler, age 104, of 5235 Oakview Drive, Allentown PA, died Sunday, September 23, 2001 in the Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown PA. He was the Widower of the late Mary S. (Dotterer) Stettler. Place & Date of Death:

Born in Upper Macungie Township PA, he was the Son of the late George G. and Hattie C. (Merkel) Stettler. He was a Farmer in Upper Macungie Township PA for 60 years before retiring in 1969. He was a Member of the United Church of Christ Faith.

He is survived by his sons , Clifford H.O. Stettler of Allentown PA, Elwood C.W. Stettler of Schnecksville PA, Howard R.E. Stettler, Jr. of Orefield PA and Roy H.J. Stettler of Kutztown PA; daughters , Bertha M. Roth of Germansville PA and Bessie M. Guth of Allentown PA; Brother, Walter G.L. Stettler of Allentown PA; Sister, Mildred M.A. Lehr of Kuhnsville PA; 20 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren, 23 Great Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Great Grandson. He is predeceased in death by his Son, Edwin H. G. Stettler and Daughter, Ruth Stettler.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2001 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA. Family and Friends may Call 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening in the Funeral Home. The Reverend Jack L. Ivey and Mr. Curtis B. Krause officiating. Interment in Ziegels Union Church Cemetery, Breinigsville PA.

Harold F. Shelly
Harold F. Shelly, age 75, of 6310 Limeport Pike, Coopersburg PA, died Tuesday, January 15, 2002 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township PA. He was the Husband of Geraldine M. (Frankenfield) Shelly. The couple celebrated their 51st Wedding Anniversary last October.

Born in Bethlehem PA, he was the Son of the late Frederick and Anna (Skelly) Shelly. He was an Engineer for the P.B.& N.E. Railroad at the Bethlehem Steel for 32 years, until retiring in 1982. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II. He was a Member of the Chestnut Hill Lutheran Church, Coopersburg. He was also a Member of the Spring Valley Sportsman's Club; Member of the Hole In One Club on 11/30/98 at Green Acres Gold Club in Bernville PA where he was an Avid Golf Player; and a Member of VFW Post 15040.

He is survived by his Wife; sons , Russell G. Shelly of Bethlehem PA and Randy S. Shelly of Coopersburg PA; daughters , Dianne C. Gehman of Alburtis PA and Darlene S. Ritter of Wescosville PA; Brother, Earl Shelly of Bethlehem PA; 7 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2002 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA. The Reverend Glenn A. Hagen officiating. Family and Friends may call 10-11:00 a.m. Friday morning in the Funeral Home. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Lower Milford Township PA.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Spring Valley Sportsman's Club.

Irene (Szatmary) Schreibman
Irene (Szatmary) Schreibman, age 92, of 2085 Westgate Drive, Bethlehem PA, died Saturday, March 2, 2002 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. She was the Widow of the late Joseph Schreibman.

Born in Perth Amboy NJ, she was the Daughter of the late Sigmund and Isabella (Simon) Szatmary. She was a Member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.

She is survived by her Daughter, Dorothy G., wife of Gordon A. Lund of Bethlehem PA; Sister, Ida Zimmerman of Florida; 3 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services and Interment will be Private and at the convenience of the Family. There are no Calling Hours. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA.

John J. 'J.J.' Scully, IV
John J. 'J.J.' Scully, IV, age 18, of New Tripoli PA, died Tuesday, March 19, 2002 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township PA.

Born in Fountain Hill PA, he was the Son of John J., III and Tereza A. (Sunday) Scully of New Tripoli PA. He was a full-time Student, currently attending Penn State University, Berks Campus, studying Chemical Engineering. He was a Class of 2001 Graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School. He was a Member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, Bethlehem PA.

He is survived by his Parents; sisters , Angela M. Scully and Brittany S. Scully at home; Maternal Grandparents, Angela C. and Russell Earle of Lenhartsville PA and Robert and Grace Sunday of State College PA; and Paternal Grandmother, Francis (Marks) Scully of Bethlehem PA.

A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2002 in St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield PA. There are no Calling Hours. The Reverend Gregory R. Karpyn officiating. Interment will be Private. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville PA.

John J. Selko
John J. Selko, age 67, of Hanover Township PA, died Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg, Bethlehem PA. He is the Husband of Mary N. (Nicrone) Selko.

Born in Pittsburgh PA, he is the son of the late John and Sophie Selko. He was a graduate of Penn State in 1960; the University of Baltimore, Patent Attorney in 1970; John passed both the PA and MD Bar Exams. In August 1960, he started at the Bethlehem Steel Co.; January 1987- Dec. 1990 he worked in a private Law Firm; and then was the Patent Attorney from 1990 - 1998 for Ingersol Rand, Phillipsburg NJ. He was a Member of the Silver Creek Country Club, Hellertown PA where he was an avid golfer.

In addition to his wife Mary of 44 years; John is survived by his Son, John N. of Bethlehem PA; Daughter, Cali L. Zawarski of Bethlehem PA; brothers , Robert of Pittsburgh PA and Ron in FL; Sister, Pat Houston of MA; and 2 Grandchildren.

Services will be Private and at the convenience of the Family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown PA.
