Diehl
Austin and Gladys Diehl of York celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary at a surprise dinner party given by their family at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

They were married on June 14, 1934, in Christ Lutheran Church, Loganville, by the Rev. Joseph Keller, now deceased.

Austin is the son of the late Dora and Zeno Diehl. He retired from Borg-Warner Corp.

Gladys is the daughter of the late Alice and William Sprenkel. She retired from Royce Kohr Insurance Agency.

They have a daughter, Joann D. Spangler of York, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Albright
Ivan and Anna Albright of York celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary June 10.

They were married by the Rev. G. W. Enders in his home on June 10, 1939.

Ivan is the son of the late Rebecca and John Albright. He retired from York Shipley.

Anna is the daughter of the late Katie and William Wintermyer. She works at Wal-Mart.

They have two daughters, Barbara Gingerich of York and Karen Geise of Manchester; two sons, James Albright of York Haven and Donald Albright of Dover; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Fetrow
Charles and Mabel Fetrow of Dover celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a surprise dinner party given by their son and his family at Hoss’s Steak and Sea House.

They were married in Towson, Md., on April 15, 1944.

Charles is the son of the late Edward and Lizzie Fetrow. He retired from Pennfield Corp.

Mabel is the daughter of the late James and Mary Glass. She is a homemaker.

They have a son, Curvin Fetrow of Dover, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Arndt
Clifford and Inger Arndt of York celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 22. Their children are planning a party this month with family and friends.

They were married in Astoria, N.Y., on May 22, 1954.

They have a daughter, Lori Arndt of Richmond, Va.; two sons, Kenneth Arndt of Pasadena, Md., and Steven Arndt of Reno, Nev.; and four grandchildren.

Hoffman
Clifford and Mary Hoffman of Manchester Township celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a surprise party given by their daughters at Dover Township Community Center.

They were married in McClure, Snyder County, by the Rev. Ralph Springman on Feb. 20, 1954.

Clifford is the son of the late Beulah and Emmett Hoffman of McClure. He retired from Duplex.

Mary is the daughter of the late Edna and Clayton Shawver Sr. of McClure. She is a semi-retired self-employed beautician.

They have four daughters, Cindy Bixler of Emigsville and Wanda Donnelly, Tina Noll and Sherri Reitano, all of York; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
