Constance L. Aubin - Woonsocket
A funeral Mass and celebration of the life of Constance L. (Rivet) Aubin, who passed away Oct. 23, 2009, will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket, R.I. at 11 a.m. Connie’s children would like to welcome all relatives and friends who are able to attend.

Daniel F. Dunn - Lincoln
Daniel F. Dunn, 77, of North Providence and Marco Island, Fla., formerly of Lincoln, died Sunday, May 2, 2010, at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence after a brief illness.

He was the beloved husband of Mary C. (Killion) Dunn. They had been married for 53 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Daniel F. and Margaret J. (Houlihan) Dunn. He grew up in Attleboro, Mass., graduating from Attleboro High School where he played both football and basketball. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1955 where he played basketball for four years. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. In 1955 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and upon completion of flight school he was assigned to duty at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii where he flew for the 25th Infantry Division Aviation Company. Upon completion of his military obligation, Lt. Dunn was discharged and he returned to Massachusetts to work for the L.G. Balfour Company in the Fraternity Division, covering colleges and universities in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Vermont and New Hampshire. In 1973, he moved his family from Longmeadow, Mass., to Lincoln when he transferred to the Commercial Division of the company where he worked until his retirement in 1990.

In addition to his beloved wife he leaves three daughters, Maureen M. Dunn of Smithfield, Laura A. (Kevin) Harrington of Westport, Mass., Suzanne M. (Kevin) Faber of Smithfield; and two sons, Kevin J. (Laurel) Dunn of Treasure Island, Fla., and Jeffrey D. (Michelle) Dunn of Scottsdale, Ariz. He also leaves his loving grandchildren, Daniel Weamer, Keegan, Katelyn and Erinn Harrington, Joshua Dunn, Ryan and Kylie Faber and Victoria, Brandon and Alexandra Duplisse; a sister-in-law, Addie Peterson of St. Simons Island, Ga.; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church, 191 School Street in Lincoln. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, 505 North Parkway, Memphis, TN 38101.

Donn C. DiBiasio - Smithfield
Donn C. DiBiasio, 81, owner and operator of the former D & B Antenna & Electronics and D & B Guns in Providence until retiring in 2001, died Saturday in Fatima Hospital, North Providence.

He was the beloved husband of D. Cynthia “Cindy” Julien. Born in Westville, N.Y., a son of the late Vincenzo and Bernice (Barlow) DiBiasio, he moved to Rhode Island at the age of seven. He graduated from Hope High School and RI Radio & TV Electronic Technicians School. Mr. DiBiasio also taught electronics at Davies Vocational School and Woonsocket Voc-Tech School. As his vocation was electronics, TV and radio, but his passion was firearms and the Second Amendment.

He was a National Rifle Association Benefactor life member, a 50-year volunteer lobbyist on gun, sportsman and Second Amendment-related issues at the Rhode Island General Assembly, and an avid sportsman, hunter, fisherman, and recreational and competitive shooter. He had a federal firearms dealer license and was a nationally known court expert on firearms.

Mr. DiBiasio sat on the board of numerous firearm, shooter and sportsman groups including the NRA, RI State Rifle and Revolver Association were he served 50 years as secretary and legislative director, Continental Sloop Providence, RI Firearms Dealers Association, the Review Board of RI Pre-Purchase Firearms Safety Training Review, Gun Owners Political Action Committee, Federal Blues RI Militia, Providence Maritime Heritage Committee.

He was a member of Wallum Lake Rod and Gun Club, Le Regiment Bourbonnois, United Train of Artillery, State of RI Trail Advisory committee, also an honorary member of the Artillery Company of Newport and Providence County Sheriffs.

Besides his wife he leaves his sons, Michael DiBiasio, of North Providence, Steven DiBiasio, of Cranston, Kenneth DiBiasio, of Woonsocket and Roger DiBiasio, of Manchester, N.H.; his siblings, James DiBiasio, of Florida, Jean Fleury, of Westville, N.Y., and Ann Fricker, of Nevada; and many grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Margaret Day, PhD.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visitation is Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the NRA-ILA, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA, 22030

Doris C. Reilly - Smithfield
Doris C. Reilly of Garden Avenue, Greenville, died Monday, April 26, 2010, in St. Joseph's Medical Center in North Providence at the age of 95.

She was the wife of the late Bernard Reilly who passed away in 1985. Born June 9, 1914, in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late George E. and Jessie M. (Matteson) Ferland. Doris grew up in Providence and was a 1932 graduate of Hope High School. She had been a resident of Greenville since 1954. Doris worked as a bookkeeper for the veterinarian, A.C. Parrillo and the Scituate Animal Hospital for many years. She had previously worked at R.J. Colardo Realty in Johnston and various other offices including Chassee Nursery in Smithfield, and Dunn and Bradstreet and The Outlet Company, both in Providence. Doris was a beautiful seamstress and loved sewing for family and friends. She also enjoyed crocheting and was active in PTA when her children were in school. She was a longtime communicant of St. Philip Church in Greenville where she was a member of the St Philip Sodality, the Rosary and Altar Society and St. Philip's Women's Club.

She leaves two daughters, M. Jeanine Collard of Greenville and Kathleen Iadevaia of Burrillville; a son, Bernard F. Reilly III of Greenville; a sister, Phyllis Hanna of Stoughton, Mass.; and five grandchildren, Michael A. Iadevaia, Lisa A. Devlin, Christian A. Collard, Jeremiah J. Reilly and Eric M. Reilly.

A funeral will be held Friday, April 30 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville followed by burial in Elm Grove Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visitation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements provided by Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro, MA.

Dorothy L. Comeau - North Providence
Dorothy L. Comeau, 81, of North Providence died May 31 at Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island.

She was married 49 years to the late Arthur Comeau. She leaves four children, Art, Bob, John, and Kathy; and 5 grandchildren.

She graduated from Roger Williams Nursing School and worked at New York City Hospital.

Calling hours will be held Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. A service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by burial in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.

Dr. Enold H. Dahlquist Jr. - Glocester
Dr. Enold H. Dahlquist Jr., M.D., retired captain, M.C. U.S. Air Force, 88, of Chepachet died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Ann (Moran) Dahlquist for 52 years. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Enold and Esther Dahlquist. Dr. Dahlquist graduated from Brown University in 1943 and Tufts University School of Medicine in 1946. During World War II, he served as the commanding officer of the 81st Station Medical Group at Wheeler Field in Oahu, Hawaii.

Dr. Dahlquist spent his career in pathology at Rhode Island Hospital from 1946 to his retirement in 1988. His positions included assistant pathologist (1955-1963), associate pathologist (1967-1983), pathologist (1983-1988), and acting chief in 1986. Dr. Dahlquist was the associate director of the Blood Bank (1955) and the director (1970-1988). In addition, he served as a consultant in pathology for the Veterans Administration Medical Center and the Rhode Island Medical Center. Dr. Dahlquist spent many years teaching in pathology at Tufts and Brown University Medical schools. He was a member of many medical societies and committees. He served as the president of the Rhode Island Hospital Staff Association, president of the RI Society of Pathologists, president of the New England Transfusion Society, and the president of the American Association of Blood Banks. During this time he was instrumental in the development and foundation of the present day Rhode Island Blood Center. Dr. Dahlquist authored and co-authored many medical publications during his career.

Dr. Dahlquist was a member of the Glocester Lions Club, Glocester School Planning Committee, Glocester Zoning Board, Harmony Hill School Board, and was a Mason. He was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church as a Chalice Bearer and Eucharistic minister. Dr. Dahlquist was also an avid farmer and reader.

Dr. Dahlquist leaves seven children, Jane and her husband Pieter DeHaas, Phoebe and her husband Raymond Fogarty, Christine and her husband Peter Mathieu, Andrew Dahlquist and his wife Gail (Paliotta), Carl Dahlquist, Laura and her husband John Krekorian and Michael Dahlquist and his wife Allison. He was the grandfather of 19 grandchildren, Nick, Katie, and Abby DeHaas, Ray and his wife Kailyn, Meg, Mike and Joe Fogarty, Pete, Connor and Sean Mathieu, Nicole and her husband Rick Femino, Patti Dahlquist, Marc and his wife Stephanie, Nathan, and Emily Dahlquist, Callie, Caroline, and Andrew Krekorian and Michael Dahlquist. His daughter, Susan Esther Dahlquist, predeceased him. He also leaves his sister, Dorothea Nabseth of California. He was the loving brother-in-law of James and Diane Moran and Thomas and Pauline Gill. Dr. Dahlquist also leaves many nieces and nephews.

His funeral is Saturday at 10 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 251 Danielson Pike, North Scituate, RI. Burial is in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. Visitation is Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Please omit flowers. Donations in his memory may be made to the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904, and the Alzheimer’s Disease and Memory Disorders Research Center at Rhode Island Hospital, 593 Eddy Street, Ambulatory Patient Center, Sixth Floor, Providence, RI, 02903.

Edwin A. Greene Jr. - Smithfield
Edwin A. Greene Jr. of Washington, N.H., and Vero Beach, Fla., died suddenly May 7, 2010.

He was born in Providence and had lived in Smithfield before moving to Washington, N.H. He was the husband of Frances (Palazzo) Greene. He was the father of Melinda Bellows and her husband Gary of Warwick and Allen E. Greene and his wife Karina of New York, N.Y., and was the devoted grandfather of one grandchild.

Services will be private.

Eileen E. Smith - Smithfield
Eileen E. Smith, 86, died June 2, 2010, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Charles H. Smith. Born in London, England, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Lena (Theobald) Riglin.

Eileen leaves three daughters, Barbara Stewart of Smithfield, Carol Snell and her husband Robert of North Providence and Linda Harvey of Cranston; a sister, Doreen Byrne of London; and four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

Services and burial will be private.

Eileen M. Neely - Smithfield
Eileen M. (Jaswell) Neely, 68, of Pennsauken, N.J., formerly of Greenville, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010, at Cooper Hospital in Camden, N.J.

She was the wife of the late James A. Neely. Born in Johnston, she was a daughter of Charles A. Jaswell Jr. and the late Viola (Howard) Jaswell-Kandzerski. Mrs. Neely was a sales associate for the Pennsauken Mart for 30 years, retiring in January 2006. She lived in Greenville before moving to New Jersey 40 years ago.

She leaves her daughter, Nancy C. King of Vineland, N.J.; her granddaughter, Melissa King of Colorado; and her niece, Katie Jaswell of Rhode Island. She was the sister of the late Kenneth Jaswell.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service, Sunday, May 2, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. in the Laurel Grange, 347 Snake Hill Road, North Scituate.

Elena Macchiarola - Cumberland
Elena (Niro) Macchiarola, 82, of Beachwood Drive, Cumberland, passed away Thursday, April 29 at The Miriam Hospital in Providence.

She was the wife of the late Luigi Macchiarola. Born in Pietra Montecorvino, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Angelina (Carpinelli) Niro. She resided in Cumberland for the past 48 years, previously residing in Providence. Mrs. Macchiarola was employed by the Health Tex Inc., for many years and previously Hasbro Inc. Among many interests she loved cooking, sewing and knitting. She was also active in the Lincoln Senior Center.

She leaves her loving family of three sons, Anthony Macchiarola of Rocky Hill, Conn., and Robert Macchiarola and Louis Macchiarola, both of Cumberland; three daughters, Josephine Sampson of Cumberland, Mary Nicholson of Rocky Hill and Katherine Macchiarola of Franklin, Mass.; two brothers, Michele Niro and Leonardo Niro, both of Milford, Mass.; a sister, Carolina Di Sabito of Italy; five grandchildren, Christopher Sampson of London, Michael Sampson of Merrimack, N.H., and Rachel Macchiarola, Julia Macchiarola and Nathaniel Nicholson, all of Rocky Hill; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Antonio and Delio Niro.

A celebration of her life will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Route 122, Cumberland, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the RI Home & Hospice Center.
