Herbert "Herbie" A. Ethier
June 1, 2009

Herbert "Herbie" A. Ethier , 75, of One Mendon Rd, passed Monday.

He was the son of the late David and Emily (Lang) Ethier,

He had been employed at the Coffee Cup restaurant and in his later years at the Riverside Diner, Pawtucket.

Herbie was known to ride his bike back and forth to work, and later to the Friendly Tap and Post 14 Cumberland. He was an avid Yankees fan, loved big band music and Old Orchard Beach, Maine.

He is survived by four brothers, Alvin, Raymond, Gilbert and Walter Ethier all of Cumberland, his nieces Amy and Ann Marie Ethier, a nephew, Michael Ethier and his best friend Miles Tingley. He was the brother of the late David L. Ethier.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at Noon from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private in St, Johns Cemetery, Cumberland.

Anthony J. McIlmail

Anthony J. McIlmail, 69, formerly of Dexter St, died peacefully at the Jeanne Jugan Home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Marguerite (Valcourt) McIlmail; they celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary this month.

Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Leroy and Ethel (Carter) McIlmail.

He had been employed as an Orderly at Memorial Hospital for 8 years, he then worked at several area nursing facilities for many years before retiring due to illness.

Anthony had also worked as a security officer for Brooks Drugs for ten years.

Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Colleen ( Handrich) Plante of Manville, a son Steven L. McIlmail of Pawtucket, a brother, Francis McIlmail of Rochester, Minnesota. Six sisters, Sr. Gertrude Mary of Somerville, MA, Mary LaPlante of Pawtucket, Angela Fascitelli of Cumberland, Veronica Newcombe of Pawtucket, Martha Chartier of Richmond, VA and Catherine Robichaud of Chepachet , several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Charles McIlmail.

His funeral will be held Monday at 9:30am from the Jeanne Jugan Residence with a Mass of Christian Burial in their Chapel at 10:30am. Relatives and friends invited, Calling hours Sunday 4-8 at the Jeanne Jugan Residence. Burial will be in Mt Calvary Cemetery, In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main St, Pawtucket, RI 02860, Arrangements entrusted to the Keefe Funeral Home, Lincoln.

Ernest J. "Jeep" Yelle
May 24, 2009

Ernest J. "Jeep" Yelle, 85, of Lower River Rd, passed away Sunday with his loving daughter by his side. He was the husband of the late Mary (Lambert) Yelle.

Born in Cumberland, a son of the late Ernest J Yelle Sr. and Mary (Devlin) Yelle. He was a lifelong Lincoln resident.

Ernest had been employed as a truck driver for Forte Brothers for many years and was a member of the Teamsters 251. He served in WWII receiving six bronze stars.

He is survived by a daughter, Susan A. Dean and her husband Charles, a grandson, Brian M. Yelle, all of Lincoln and a great grandson, Izaiha M. Yelle and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Joseph Yelle, Mary Couture and Evelyn Gagne.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in Historic St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd, Cumberland at 9am. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends invited, calling hours this evening 5-8pm.

Andrew Economou
May 20, 2009

Andrew Economou, 86, of Trenton St, passed Wednesday at the RI Hospital, Providence. He was the former husband of Hope Nyberg.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Peter and Georgia (Chalamidus) Economou.

He had been the proprietor of Nautical Enterprises for many years.

Andrew was an Air force veteran of WWII.

He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Condon, Janice Hafely. Three sons, Peter, Matthew and George Economou.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 11am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Relatives and friends invited and may call Saturday morning starting at 9am. Burial with military honors will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott St. Pawtucket RI 02860.

Ernest "Duke" Duquette Jr.
May 17, 2009

Ernest "Duke" Duquette Jr., 74, of Tracy Beth Drive, died Sunday at home. He was the husband of the late Barbara Ann (Harrison) Duquette.

He was the son of the late Ernest Duquette Sr. and Blanche (Bessette) Duquette.

Ernest was a 38-year employee of Carol Cable before retiring, and was a Veteran of the Korean War. In his youth he was an avid baseball player.

He is survived by a daughter, Linda Lepre of Pawtucket, three grandchildren, Edward and Gary Roth and Diane Rose, nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, and his best friend Al Gregoire. He was the father of the late Kevin Rose

Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5-7pm with a service at 7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St, Pawtucket RI 02860.

Suzanne L. Turcotte
May 15, 2009

Suzanne L. Turcotte, 48, of Cross Rd, passed suddenly at the RI Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Ronald Turcotte for 26 years.

Born in Central Falls, the beloved daughter of Richard and Yvonne (Gagnon) Hemond, Sr.

She was the proprietor of Sue’s Crafts & Florals Gift Shop in Lincoln for the past six years.

Besides her husband and parents she is survived by a daughter and a son, Amy and Eric Turcotte, both of Cumberland, Three sisters, Lucille Bagaglia and Christine Naughton, both of Cumberland and Karen Everton of Smithfield. A brother, Richard Hemond Jr. of Wrentham, MA, a grandson, Zachary Turcotte and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday at Noon from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited, Calling hours Sunday 2-5pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to a scholarship for her beloved grandson, Zachary Austin Turcotte c/o Richard Hemond, 25 Autumn Rd, Wrentham, MA 02093.

Joseph F. Case
May 12, 2009

Joseph F. Case, 58 of Middlebridge Rd, Wakefield, passed Tuesday at home with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Patricia (Netto) Case for 37 years.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Edward and Gladys (Clarkson) Case.

He had been employed as the Traffic Lane Painter for the City of Pawtucket for over 30 years. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, and a lifetime member of Elwood Euart Post 602, Pawtucket.

Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Laura Colacone, Kerri Pimentel and Crissy Case, a son, Joseph P. Case. Six brothers, Edward, Raymond, Tommy, David, George and Wesley Case, a sister, Patrica Mercier.

8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He wa sthe father of the late Joseph F. Case Jr.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 9am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, followed by Burial with Military Honors in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends kindly invited, Calling hours Friday, 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
