Mary T. Hayes
October 5, 2009

Mary T. Hayes, 73, Weeden St, passed October 5th with her loving family by her side.

She was the wife of Timothy J. Hayes. They have been married for 52 years.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late William and Mable (Houston) Gardner. She was a lifelong Pawtucket resident.

She had worked at several area assisted living facilities as a CNA for many years. She was a Communicant of St. Mary Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Timothy Hayes Jr., and his wife Deborah of Dracut, MA, Mark W. Hayes, and his wife Karen, of Enterprise, Alabama, Russell Hayes and his wife Micki of Newport and Christopher Hayes, and his wife Brigitta of Middletown, two brothers, Eric Houston of Coventry and Joseph Houston of Pawtucket, ten grandchildren and a great grandson.

Her funeral will be held Friday 8:30am from the Keefe funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Pine St, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Relatives and friends invited, Calling hours Thursday 5-8pm.

Steven F. Carvalho
October 2, 2009

Steven F. Carvalho, 32, of Robert Circle, passed comfortably Friday at home. He was the husband of Shelly (Sheehan) Carvalho.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of Zelia (Gomes) Carvalho and Valdemar Carvalho and stepson of Jose DaSilva, all of Pawtucket.

He had been employed as a mechanic for many years and manager of security at Mario's. Steven bravely fought cancer for over two years.

Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by two daughters, Sabrina Hamilton and Cheyanne Carvalho, two sons, Trevor Willis and baby Justin Carvalho, all of Cranston. Four sisters, Elizabeth Amesbury, Bernadette DeSilva, Lucia Dalomba and Gena Chamberland all of Pawtucket. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, godchildren and dear friends.

His funeral will be held Monday at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Pine St, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Relatives and friends invited, calling hours Sunday 1-4pm. Flowers are respectfully omitted.

Phyllis Johnson-Vance
October 2, 2009

Phyllis Johnson-Vance, passed unexpectedly October 2nd, 2009 at the Roger Williams Medical Center. She was the wife of Otis Vance.

Besides her husband she is survived by her mother Marguerite Corria, a son, Bryan Rose of Japan, a sister, Catherine Freeman, a brother, Joseph Craverio.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday at 10am followed by a funeral service at 11am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, off Smithfield Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in North Burial Ground.

Louisette Thibault
September 30, 2009

Louisette Thibault, 71, passed peacefully September 30th, 2009, surrounded by her loving family, She was the loving wife of Bertrand Thibault, they would have celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary on October 20th.

She had been employed by the former Sweet Design of Pawtucket.

She was a former Communicant of Notre Dame Church.

Besides her husband she is survived by four daughters, Sylvie Tondreau and her husband Andre, and Lise Thibault, all of Cumberland, Carole Snell and her husband Steven of Smithfield, Manon Weiss and her husband David of Chepachet. Four grandchildren, Andre, and Chris Tondreau, Steven Snell Jr. and Katie Weiss. Louisette is also survived by her 11 siblings.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 3pm from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, Relatives and friends are invited and may visit one-hour prior. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd, East Providence RI 02914 or to the Activities Department of the Holiday Retirement Center, 30 Sayles Hill Rd, Manville RI 02838 thanking them for their care and dedication.

Ernest J. Hart Jr.
September 28, 2009

Ernest J. Hart Jr., 82, of Webster St, passed Monday at the Holiday Retirement Center, Manville. He was the husband of Barbara (Kerr) Hart.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Ernest J, Hart Sr. and Elsie (Wilkinson) Hart.

He had been a Union Carpenter for Local 342 then Local 94 for 60 years. Ernest was an also the former Fire Chief of the Fairlawn Lincoln Fire Department and a World War II Navy Veteran.

Besides his wife, two daughters, Deborah Turmel and Maryann Donahue, five sons, David, Bruce, Brian, Kevin and Craig Hart and fourteen grandchildren, survive him. Services were private.

Alfred “Fred” Anzevino
September 24, 2009

Alfred “Fred” Anzevino, 55, of Smithfield Ave, passed Thursday at the RI Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Edna C. (Pina) Anzevino.

Born in Cranston, a son of the late Alfred G. and Beatrice (Ellison) A Anzevino. He was the lead drummer for the Desperado Band for many years before becoming the proprietor of the L.A. Café of West Warwick.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Michael Kelly of Warwick and Alfred Anzevino Jr. of Lincoln, a daughter, Jennifer Mignacca of Providence, a brother, Albert Anzevino of Wisconsin and two granddaughters.

His funeral will be held Monday at 10am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Edward Church, Weeden St, Pawtucket at 11 am. Relatives and friends invited, calling hours Sunday 6-8pm. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Lesonga D. "Lee" Rankin
September 18, 2009

Lesonga D. "Lee" Rankin, 45, was called to his heavenly father’s home on Friday, September 18th, 2009.

Born August 2nd, 1964 in Middletown, RI, to Stanley W. and the late Acquarnetter E. (Spurillo) Rankin.

Lee was a graduate of Hope High School where he was a Varsity Letterman in Football, Wrestling and Track and Field. He attended
the University of RI.

Mr. Rankin was a youth Correctional Officer at the RI Training School for 14 years.

He worked with the US Marshall’s Service and was a Deputy Sheriff at the RI Superior Court and served as Commander of the RI Sheriff’s Honor Guard.

Lee coached youth football, the Mount Hope/ Woodlawn Cowboys. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He leaves to cherish memories, a loving wife, Alda Rankin, his son, Tyler Rankin, his nephews, Paris Ambush and Carter Rankin. He was the dear brother of Laveatter Dominhile, Stanley Rankin Jr. and Michiste Rankin and a host of friends. He was the brother of the late Thebese Rankin.

Services will be held Friday at 11am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, next to the corner of Smithfield Ave. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Relatives and friends invited, Calling hours Thursday 5-8pm.
