Cumberland - Joseph R. White, 21 of Douglas Drive died Sunday at home.
Born August 3, 1984 he was the son of Richard N. White Jr. of Providence and Debra (Duclos) White of Cumberland. He was a lifelong resident of Cumberland.
Beside his parents, he leaves his maternal grandmothers Bernice Gaudet of North Providence and Maggie Duclos of Johnston, RI. and paternal grandparents Richard N. White Sr. and Dorothea White both of Pawtucket. One brother Richard N. Farmer of Cincinnati, OH and one sister Loriann Farmer of Attleboro, MA. He was the brother of the late Zachary J. White.
His funeral will be held Friday at 10 AM in the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 120 Nate Whipple Highway, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours Thursday 4 to 6 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.

Joaquim M. Amaral
1905 - 2006
Cumberland - Joaquim M. Amaral, 101 of Mill Street died Monday in the Grandview Nursing Center, Cumberland. He was the husband of the late Maria (Barbosa) Amaral.
Born in Ribamondego, Portugal he was the son of the late Antonio M. and Emilia Amaral. He resided in Cumberland for the past 85 years.
He was the owner of the former J. Amaral's Market, Cumberland for many years until his retirement in 1982.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.
He was past president of Uniao Portuguesa Beneficente, Secursal #12, Pawtucket.
He was a member of Clube Juventude Lusitana, Cumberland and a former member of the Cumberland Zoning Board of Review for 27 years.
He leaves one daughter Miquelina A. Neves of Cumberland. One grandson Carlos A. Neves and his wife Jean of Cumberland and two great grandchildren Lindsey and Amanda Neves both of Cumberland. He was the father of the late Margaret Amaral.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive Cumberland. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive Cumberland, RI 02864 or Grandview Nursing Center, 100 Chambers St., Cumberland, RI 02864.

Mary N. Hayes
1911 - 2006
Cumberland - Mary N. Hayes, 94, of 15 Sumner Brown Rd. and formerly of Womantam Lane died Monday in the Mt. St. Rita Health Center, Cumberland. She was the wife of the late Frederick Draper and the late John F. Hayes.
Born in Cumberland she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Casey) Conway. She was a life long Cumberland resident and had also resided in Juno Beach, FL.
She was the Office Manager, employed by McLaughlin & Moran, Inc. in their former Cumberland and Providence offices from 1945 to 1985 when she retired.
She was a communicant of St. John Vianney Church, Cumberland where she was a member of the former Altar and Rosary Societies. She was a founding member of the Mercy Mount Country Day School, Mothers Club. She was a member of the Cumberland Library Association.
She leaves three sons, Robert Draper and John Hayes both of Cumberland and David Draper of Arizona. One daughter Paula Kolodny of Westwood, MA. Two brothers, James Conway and Eugene Conway both of Cumberland. Two sisters Rita Moran of Cumberland and Barbara Brown of Barnard, VT. Thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mt. St. Rita Health Center, 15 Sumner Brown Rd., Cumberland.

Lisa K. Chicoine
1957 - 2007
CUMBERLAND - Lisa K. Chicoine, 49, passed away Friday at the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket after a heroic fight with a rare form of cancer.
Born in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of William Anthony of Cumberland, and Barbara Orsini of Providence. She was a life-long Cumberland resident.
Lisa was a restaurant manager, and bartender at the Coachmen Lodge, Bellingham for over 10 years, and was previously employed as a service manager for the Herb Chambers Cadillac Co. for many years.
She was an accomplished artist, selling her work in local gift shops under the name "Different Strokes." She was also a volunteer in the Blackstone school system.
Besides her mother and father, she is survived by her sister, Deborah Good of Riverside, and her sister and brother-in-law Barbara Anthony-Brunelle and William Montminy of Cranston; her step-children, Lisa and Rodney Giguere, both of Blackstone; her grandchildren Samantha and Corey Giguere, both of Blackstone; two nieces Nadia Good and Alexandra Good, both of Riverside; and her best friend and beloved Jarrod Marien.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in the St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham. Relatives and Friends are kindly invited Calling Hours will be held Monday, 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Home and Hospice Care of RI, 169 George Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860

Ryan M. Moelk
1979 - 2007
Cumberland - Ryan M. Moelk, 27 of Mendon Rd. and formerly of Attleboro died Friday at a result of injuries suffered in an auto accident in Attleboro. He was the husband of Janelle J. (Charette) Moelk.
Born in Attleboro he was the son of Mike and Cheryl (Nadow) Moelk of Attleboro. He resided in Cumberland for the past year having resided in Attleboro his entire life.
He was a communications technician employed by the Signet Electronics Corp., of Norwell, MA for the past five years.
Besides his wife and parents he leaves a son, Tyler X. Moelk at home and a brother, Joshua D. Moelk of Attleboro. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Lorette (Dargis) Nadow Langille and step grandfather, Charles Langille both of Foxboro. He was also the grandson of the late Norman Nadow and paternal grandson of the late Mildred (Auerette) Moelk.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cumberland.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

Lisa M. Hebert
1968 - 2007
Cumberland - Lisa M. Hebert, 38, of Massachusetts Ave., died Wednesday in the R. I. Hospital, Providence.
Born in Providence she was the daughter of Maryrose (DeMoras) Crowley of Cumberland and the late James J. McNulty Jr. She was a life long Cumberland resident.
She was employed as a Sales Merchandising Supervisor for the Advantage Sales & Marketing Co., Mansfield, MA for the past eight years.
She was active with the Four H Club, Foster and was a supporter of the Cumberland Youth Soccer League.
Besides her mother she leaves a daughter, Ariel Hebert of Cumberland and two sisters, Angel McNulty of Cumberland and Lori Kalvinek of Sarasota, FL. She was also the sister of the late Gail McNulty. She also leaves many nieces and nephews including, Mercedes and Crystal Bravo both of Cumberland and Jaqueline and Joseph Tellier both of Sarasota, FL.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland with services at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Diamond Hill Cemetery, Cumberland.

Linda J. Cowger
1943 - 2007
Cumberland - Linda J. Cowger, 63 of Norton Drive died Tuesday in the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.
She was the beloved wife of Edward E. Cowger.
Born in Canton, OH she was the daughter of the late Harry and Kathryn (Roach) Siegel.
She resided in Cumberland for the past thirty two years previously residing in Pittsburgh, PA.
She was a Registered Nurse employed by Anchor Medical / Harvard Pilgrim in Providence for thirteen years retiring in 2004.
She was previously employed as an Emergency Room Nurse at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro.
Besides her husband she leaves a daughter, Christine N. Day of Westerly and a son Todd E. Cowger of Wakefield. One brother, Richard Siegel in the Washington DC area. She also leaves five grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Friday with services at 10 a.m. in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland.
Burial will follow in Diamond Hill Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.

Gerard J. Doire
1925 - 2007
Cumberland - Gerard J. Doire was born April 19, 1925 in Pawtucket, RI. Gerry was the husband of Joan (Wood) Doire and the late Cecile (Baron) Doire. He was the son of the late Charles and Alexina (Paquin) Doire. He had been a long time resident of Cumberland, RI.
Gerry was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the 2nd Armored Division. A veteran of the Normandy Landing at Omaha Beach and the Battle of the Bulge, he earned 5 bronze service stars, the French Croix de guerre, the Belgian Croix de guerre and numerous service ribbons. He was employed by the Cumberland school system for 26 years, retiring in 1990 as the Director of Building and Grounds.
Gerry was the former Vice-Chairman of the Cumberland Democratic Town Committee and had been involved in many municipal and state political campaigns. He was a member of the Cumberland Lodge 14 F.O.P.A. and was a volunteer with the Cumberland Crime Stoppers.
Besides his wife he leaves three daughters, Diane Procter and Darlene Hamel both of Cumberland and Dottie Caires of Aurora, IN., along with one son, Dennis Doire of Cumberland. While being pre deceased by five sisters and four brothers, he is survived by a brother George Doire of Bradenton, FL., a sister, Phyllis Grigelevich of Cumberland. He also leaves seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral with military honors will be held Friday at 8 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dialysis Center of Woonsocket, 2100 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895.

Helen C. Maziasz
1919 - 2007
Cumberland - Helen C. Maziasz, 88 formerly of Hope St. died Sunday in the Scalabrini Villa, North Kingstown. She was the wife of the late Stephen F. Maziasz Sr.
Born in Pawtucket she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Kopiuska) Oleksow. She resided in North Kingstown for the past two years and had lived in Cumberland for forty five years.
She was employed by Hasbro, Inc., Pawtucket for over twenty years until her retirement.
She was a member of the former Polish White Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and a member of St. Aidan Seniors.
She leaves a son, Stephen F. Maziarz Jr., Lake Placid, FL and a daughter Gail Mathieu, Pawtucket. Four grandchildren, Natalie White, East Greenwich, Stephen F. Mazaiarz III, Huntersville, NC, Ralph Mathieu, Warwick and Jason Mathieu of Pawtucket. She also leaves five great grandchildren.
Funeral service Saturday at 11 a.m. in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Scalabrini Villa, Staff Appreciation Fund, 860 North Quidnessett Rd., North Kingstown, RI 02852.
