Gerald 'Jerry' McCrea

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Gerald "Jerry" McCrea, 49, died Friday, March 29, 2002, in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Survivors include his wife, Stella Benton McCrea; a daughter, Amanda; a son, Corey; his parents, William and Audrey McCrea of Pennsylvania; a sister, Judith Marshall of Kentucky; his mother-in-law, Rina Benton of Myrtle Beach; and two sisters-in-law, Susy Benton Stewart of Denver and Janet Benton of Myrtle Beach.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home of Mooresville.

W.J. McPherson

CLARENDON, N.C. — W.J. McPherson, 73, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at home.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Beaverdam Freewill Baptist Church.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.

Inman Funeral Home is in charge.

Russell Musser

SURFSIDE BEACH — Russell Musser, 78, of Sawgrass Court, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Goldfinch Funeral Home, beach chapel.

Estelene 'Peggy' Parvin

CONWAY — Estelene "Peggy" Parvin, 80, of Live Oak Street, died Monday, April 1, 2002, at her daughter's home in Loris.

She was born Aug. 9, 1920, in Horry County, a daughter of the late John Pearly and Nellie Stevens Doyle. She was the widow of Rubin Parvin.

She devoted her life to her family as a homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Joan Cox of Loris, Judy Pruitt of Kings Mountain, N.C., and Faye Doyle of Reidsville, N.C.; a sister, Ruby Merck of Loris; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Palmetto Funeral Home in Conway.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jimmy Rabon will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Marshall T. Rheuark

MULLINS — Marshall Truman Rheuark, 54, died Monday, April 1, 2002, at Marion County Medical Center after an illness.

He was born Sept. 9, 1947, in Horry County, a son of Clayton and Bertie Graham Rheuark.

He was a security guard and a member of Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Louise Herring Rheuark; a sister, Wanda Best of Loris; and many cousins.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Cox-Collins Funeral Home. The Rev. William C. Jacobs will officiate. Burial will be in State Cemetery.

Carl L. Tindall

GEORGETOWN — Carl Lawrence Tindall, 66, formerly of Aynor, died Monday, April 1, 2002, at the Winyah Convalescent Center in Georgetown.

He was born in Horry County, a son of the late Lawrence M. and Carrie Dale McCormick Tindall.

Survivors include two brothers, John K.Tindall of Leesville and Harold E. Tindall of Upper Marlboro, Md.; and three sisters, Estelle Martin and Violet Gasque, both of Aynor, and Floree Michaels of Jackson, Miss.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.

The funeral will be will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jerry Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Drive, Suite 205, Columbia, SC 29204.

Andrew 'Jack' Warden

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH — Andrew "Jack" Warden, formerly of Youngstown, Ohio, died Monday, April 1, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

He was born Nov. 8, 1922, in Richmond, Va., a son of George and Sara Jones Warden.

He moved to Youngstown in 1961 and then to South Carolina in 1984.

He attended Duke University, was an Army Air Force veteran and served during World War II.

As a gunner stationed in England, he flew missions over Germany.

After coming to Youngstown, he worked for Fischbach & Moore Electrical Contractors.

In 1964, he became a founding partner in Evets Electric and in 1967 was the owner and founder of his own company, Warden Electric, from which he retired in 1984.

He was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church and a member of the Surf Club, both in North Myrtle Beach.

He was a member of Fonderlac, Tippecanoe and Youngstown Country Clubs and was a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association.

Survivors include three sons, Ronald Warden of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Steven Warden and Craig Warden, both of Boardman; a sister, Elizabeth Blackmon of Little River; seven grandchildren, Ronald Gaskins, Desire Warden, Katie Warden, Amy Warden, Scott Warden, Seth Warden and Christopher Warden; and a great-grandson.

He was predeceased by a brother, Henry, and a sister, Edna.

The funeral will be private.

Davis Funeral Home of Youngstown is in charge.
