MULLINS — Minnie Pearl Longino, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at Carolina Hospital System after an illness.

Arrangements to be announced by Troy's Funeral Home of Mullins.

Kevin Mooney

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH — Kevin Mooney, 46, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002.

Arrangements will be announced by Lee Funeral Home and Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach.

Adolph Q. Vogel

LITTLE RIVER — Adolph Q. Vogel, 89, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at Myrtle Beach Manor.

He was born Nov. 25, 1912, in New York City, a son of the late Adolph and Emilie Eckerlin Vogel.

He was a Mason and Shriner. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville, N.C., and loved music and had a great sense of humor.

Survivors include a son, Mark Vogel, of Glassboro, N.J.; two daughters, Corita Domaratius, of Englewood, Fla., and Corliss Main, of Calabash, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lee Funeral Home in Little River. Dr. Christopher Carlisle will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth, N.J.

Lee Funeral Home and Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is in charge.

Woodrow Wilson

RED BLUFF — Woodrow Wilson, 70, of the Red Bluff community, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at Loris Community Hospital, after an illness.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at McNeil Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Legette-Troy Funeral Home is in charge.

Hubert W. Baxley

MARION -- Hubert Willis Baxley, 84, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness.

He was born in Marion, a son of the late Anna Coleman Baxley and Robert Willis Baxley.

He was a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church. He was a farmer and an avid fisherman. He also attended Clemson University.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Elizabeth Baxley; a son, Robert Willis Baxley; three brothers, James Baxley, Harris Baxley and Thomas Baxley; and three sisters, Virginia Williams, Elizabeth Stackhouse and Louise Shelly.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Weaver Baxley, of the home; sons Hubert William Baxley, and his wife, Evelyn, of Murrells Inlet and Michael Dennis Baxley, and his wife, Charlotte, of Brevard, N.C.; daughter-in-law Ramona L. Baxley of Longs; stepsons Billy Lambert and his wife, Linda, of Marion and Randy Lampert and his wife, Cindy, of Barnwell; brothers Milton Baxley and Warner Baxley, both of Pendeboro; a sister, Carolyn Thomas of Pendeboro; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Henry 'Brother' Bowens

MYRTLE BEACH -- Henry "Brother" Bowens, 81, of Carver Street, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital after an illness.

He was the son of the late Prince and Janie Deas Bowen of Pawleys Island. He was the widower of Dorethea James Bowens.

He was educated in the Horry County public schools and a member of Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member of the usher board for 50 years. He was a self-employed businessman in Myrtle Beach with Hillside Cab for several years. After that, he operated Henry's Grocery for 25 years.

He and his wife, Dorethea, co-founded Concerned Parents and Friends of Children Inc., a nonprofit organization that is the sponsoring agency for Bowens Little Treasures Child Development Center on Carver Street in Myrtle Beach.

Survivors include two daughters, Kutura B. Lynch, and her husband, William "Bill" III, of Conway and Tabitha Conwell of Myrtle Beach; a special son, Timothy F. Busby of Conway; four grandchildren, Imani Zakiyyah Conwell and Ishmael Khalfani Conwell of Myrtle Beach, Laytoya A. Lynch of Ypsilante, Mich., and Willie H. Lynch IV of Columbia; two great-grandchildren, Jabari and Jiyyah A. Lynch of Ypsilante; two sisters-in-law, Josephine Gaither of Liberty Hill and Margaret Stover of Charlotte, N.C.; and three brothers-in-law, Isaac James and Felman Gaither, both of Liberty Hill, and David Stoveer of Charlotte.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church at 1008 Carver St.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the 21st Avenue North Cemetery in Myrtle Beach.

Memorials may be made to Concerned Parents and Friends of Children, Inc., P.O. Box 473, Myrtle Beach, SC 29578.

Webster Brush

MURRELLS INLET -- Webster Brush died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Arrangements will be announced by Goldfinch Funeral Home, beach chapel.

Stanley D. Coleman Sr.

CONWAY -- Stanley David Coleman Sr., 87, of Eighth Avenue, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at home after an illness.

He was born in Galivants Ferry, a son of the late Preston Monroe and Carrie Belle Johnson Coleman.

He was a graduate of Aynor High School. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Conway for more than 60 years and was actively involved in the Anglers "B" Sunday School Class.

He worked in the wholesale grocery business for more than 40 years. He was employed with Massey and Co. in Conway, and later with M.H. McLean Wholesale in Lumberton, N.C.

He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and keeping up with his many friends. He was a World War II Army veteran and served in the Italian Campaign under Gen. Mark Clark.

He was predeceased by a brother, Johnson M. Coleman, and a sister, Frances C. Rogers.

Survivors include his wife, Frances C. Coleman, of Conway; a son, Stanley D. Coleman Jr. and his wife, Lucile, of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Nancy C. Yates and her husband, Robert, of LaGrange, Ga.; and five grandchildren, Carol Yates Murdock of Portland, Ore., Robert Rhett Coleman Yates of Charleston, Charlotte Coker Coleman, Meredith Clark Coleman and S. David Coleman III, all of Charlotte.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Conway. Dr. Steve Hadden and the Rev. Tom Patton will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Bridges Fund, 603 Elm St., Conway, SC 29526.
