Gary H. 'Tumpy' Edmunds Jr.

MULLINS -- Gary H. "Tumpy" Edmunds Jr., 49, of Dillon, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002.

Survivors include a son, Jordan Edmunds; a sister, Susan Jackson; two stepbrothers, Bill Parham and Steven Hardwick; a niece; and three nephews.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Meares Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Powell Cemetery in Fair Bluff, N.C.

David Faulk Jr.

MARION -- David Faulk Jr., 72, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at home after an illness.

He was born Feb. 14, 1930, in Marion County, a son of the late David Nelson Faulk and the late Buno Elliott Faulk.

He had retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an electrical engineer. He was an Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion, Post 5. He was a graduate of the College of William and Mary.

Survivors include a brother, Stacy Faulk of Marion; three sisters, Nelson Fowler, Mary McMillan and Rebecca Thomas Graham, all of Marion; a sister-in-law, Linda Faulk of Wilmington, N.C.; and a special friend, Jennie Richardson of Marion.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Smith-Collins Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Gene Gober

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH -- Gene Gober died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, in Charleston.

Arrangements will be announced by Lee Funeral Home and Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach.

Lannis P. Jordan

CONWAY -- Lannis Powell Jordan, 55, wife of Richard L. Jordan, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at home.

She was born Sept. 6, 1947, in Conway, a daughter of Virginia Floyd Powell of Conway and the late Lonzie S. Powell.

She was a 1965 graduate of Conway High School and received her bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina in 1969. She was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church in Conway. She was also a member of the Stilley-Walsh Circle.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Richard L. Jordan of Conway; two daughters, Natalie J. Cooper and her husband, Billy, of Conway and Jenny R. Jordan of Bradenton, Fla.; her brother, Bruce L. Powell and his wife, Jane, of Manning; and a grandson, Furman Cooper.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at 214 Magrath Ave.

A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Conway. The Rev. John Hipp and the Rev. Carl Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1001 Fifth Ave., Conway, SC 29526.

Palmetto Funeral Home of Conway is serving the family.

Robert B. Jordan

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Robert Boyd Jordan, 85, of Pitts Lane, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center after an illness.

Arrangements will be announced by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.

Geraldine N. Kearney

CONWAY -- Geraldine Nancy Kearney, 76, of Myrtle Trace, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at National Health Care in Garden City.

She was born April 16, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y., a daughter of the late James and Marie McCarthy Donovan. She was the widow of Theodore Kearney.

She retired from Manufacturers Hanover Trust in Brooklyn after more than 30 years of service. She moved to the area in 1996 and was an active member of the Myrtle Trace community.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Rosenthal and her husband, Mark, of Conway and Patricia Cruz and her husband, Paul, of Clifton, Va.; a sister, Eileen Donohue of Babylon, N.Y.; five grandchildren, David, Joy, Sean, Matthew and Brendan; and one great-grandson, Christopher.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Monsignor Chet Moczydlowski will officiate. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Florence National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice of Horry County, P.O. Box 50640, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579.

John E. Kellogg

LITTLE RIVER -- John E. Kellogg, 82, widower of Isabel L. Kellogg, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002.

Survivors include his sons Schuyler A. Kellogg of Aurora, Colo., and Charles P. May of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.

Services will be private.

McMillan-Small Funeral Home is in charge.

Doris F. Robertson

MYRTLE BEACH -- Doris F. Robertson, 72, widow of Raymond "Ray" L. Robertson, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002.

Arrangements will be announced by McMillan-Small Funeral Home.

Joseph A. Roth

CONWAY -- Joseph Anthony Roth, 46, of Causey Road, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at Conway Hospital after an illness.

He was born in Boca, W.Va., a son of Phyllis Davidson of Euclid, Ohio, and the late Joseph Robert Roth.

He was baptized as a Lutheran and was a Marine veteran. His hobbies included building model railroads and photography.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a daughter, Megan Roth of Wickliffe, Ohio; two brothers, John Roth of Mentor, Ohio, and Lincoln Davidson of Rock Creek, Ohio; two sisters, Joann Roth of Cleveland, Ohio, and Renita Roth of North Olmstead, Ohio; and a very dear friend, Judy Hale of Conway.

Memorial services were held at High Point Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Ave. N., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.

Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel, is in charge.
