Alfred M. Jones

AYNOR -- Alfred Matthew Jones, 87, of Alfred Road, died Saturday, May 31, 2003, at Conway Medical Center.

He was born in Horry County, a son of the late James Pearlie and Susan Caroline "Callie" Parritt Cooper Jones.

He was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Conway, where he was a former deacon and Sunday school teacher. He worked at Stilley Plywood Company for 25 years and was a farmer.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald Fredrick Jones of Scranton and Donald Wayne Jones of Hartsville; three daughters, Linda Carol Cooper of Aynor, Mary Elizabeth "Mary Beth" Broach of Effingham and Rebecca Louise Rabon of Conway; two brothers, Henry C. Jones of Laurinburg, N.C., and William "Bill" Jones of Conway; six sisters, Agnes McNeil and Margaret Altman, both of Charleston, Pearline Altman of Conway, Susie Lee Marlowe of Aynor and Sarah Jane Larrimore and Mary Lois Larrimore, both of Gresham; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Hazel Irene Cooper Jones; a son, Bobby Alfred Jones; a daughter, Hazel Iris Martin; a brother, John Paul Jones; and two sisters, Lucille Jordan and Ruby Harrelson.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Conway. The Rev. Dudley Parnell will officiate. Entombment will be in Hillcrest Mausoleum.

Charles W. Kohlbusch

GARDEN CITY BEACH -- Charles W. Kohlbusch, 79, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Goldfinch Funeral Home, beach chapel.

Wilbur T. O'Brien

FLORENCE -- Wilbur Thomas O'Brien, 88, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at the Presbyterian Home.

Arrangements will be announced by Goldfinch Funeral Home, beach chapel.

Agnes G. Rogers

TABOR CITY, N.C. -- Agnes Gertrude Rogers, 81, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at the Pinedale Nursing Center after an illness.

Arrangements will be announced by Hardwick Funeral Home of Loris.

Peggy Scott

CONWAY -- Peggy Scott, died Friday, May 30, 2003, at Conway Medical Center.

The family will receive friends at 5608 Lee Hucks Lane in Conway.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Rhue's Mortuary.

Arrangements will be announced by the funeral home.

Percy D. Snowden

HEMINGWAY -- Percy D. Snowden, 88, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at home.

Arrangements will be announced by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway.

Mabeline 'Mae' Syers

LITTLE RIVER -- Mabeline "Mae" Syers, 71, also of Brick, N.J., died Friday, May 30, 2003, at Myrtle Beach Manor after an illness.

She was the daughter of the late Bernardo and Rose Denick Liberatori.

She owned and operated Mabeline Shoes in Trenton, N.J., for 25 years. She retired from Harrogate Life Center in Lakewood, N.J., as director of activities. She attended Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach to study art, specializing in water colors. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Donald Syers, of Little River; four sons, Kevin Syers of Forked River, N.J., Brian Syers of Little River, Kenneth Syers and his wife, Terry, of Brick and Michael Syers and his wife, Kim, of Toms River, N.J.; two brothers, Frank Liberatori and his wife, Ann, of Niceville, Fla., and Bernardo Liberatori and his wife, Marie, of Stowe, Pa.; four grandsons, Justin, Levon, Nolan and Sean Syers; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1100 Eighth Ave., North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582 or to the Mercy Hospice of Horry County, P.O. Box 50640, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579.

Lee Funeral Home and Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is in charge.

Georgina Amigo

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH -- Georgina Amigo, 90, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at Conway Medical Center.

She was born in Havana, Cuba, a daughter of the late Mario and Maria Alfonso Del Portillo.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. Isidro Amigo of North Myrtle Beach and Jorge Amigo of Durham, N.C.; a daughter, Lydia Spaulding of North Myrtle Beach; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Southeastern Memorial Gardens in North Myrtle Beach.

Charles R. Cartrette

CLARENDON, N.C. -- Charles Ray Cartrette, 45, died Saturday, May 31, 2003, at home.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Inman Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the McPherson Cemetery in Chadbourn, N.C.

Tavio Drayton

GEORGETOWN -- Tavio Drayton, 35, died Friday, May 30, 2003, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center of injuries suffered in an accident.

Arrangements will be announced by Wilds Funeral Home.
