LORIS -- Miss Ernestine Hardee, 86, died Monday, April 12, 2004, at Roper Hospital in Charleston, following an illness. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday from the Bellamy Cemetery in Longs. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. prior to services at Hardwick Funeral Home in Loris.

Jessica Marie Parmalee

LITTLE RIVER -- Jessica Marie Parmalee, 37,died Monday April 5th,2004, at Loris Community Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday April 17th in Cherry Grove. For information and directions please call either 280-4854 or 236-1847.

Phillip Perry

CHARLESTON -- Phillip Perry, 21, of Haverling St., Bath, N.Y. and Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, died Saturday, April 10, 2004, at the Medical University of South Carolina. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 17 at Fagan's Funeral Home, 31 W. Morris Street, Bath, N.Y., and Sunday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Bath, 6 Pulteney Square, prior to services beginning at 4 p.m.

Ralph J. Pastoor

GEORGETOWN -- Ralph J. Pastoor, 81, died Monday, April 12, 2004, at Windsor Manor Care Center in Manning. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.

Rebecca 'Becky' J. Ray

MYRTLE BEACH -- Rebecca "Becky" Jane Ray, age 44 of Forestbrook died Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Arrangements will be announced by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.

Barbara C. Seguin

SURFSIDE BEACH -- Barbara Claire Seguin, 77, of Glenn Meadows died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Born Jan. 14, 1927 in Hoquiam Wash., she was the daughter of the late John and Freeda Parson Kendrick. Mrs. Seguin was a registered nurse.

Surviving are her husband, Norman Seguin; son, Sean Seguin; daughters, Linda Powell of Bowie, Md. and Eva Thwing of Centreville, Md.; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Emmans of Orlando, Fla.

The family will receive friends 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.

Services will be at Robert Evans Funeral Home in Bowie, Md.

Syble B. Smith

CHERRY GROVE BEACH -- Syble Bartell Smith, widow of her husband of 44 years, John E. Smith, died Tuesday, April 13, 2004, in a Myrtle Beach hospital.

Mrs. Smith was born on June 15, 1926 in Indiantown, S.C., a daughter of the late Liston Hampton and Ruby Brown Bartell. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and a good friend to all who knew her. She loved children and spent many years of her life as a kindergarden teacher. She was a graduated of Indiantown High School and Winthrop.

Mrs. Smith was a long time member of Indiantown Presbyterian Church and was associate member of the Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church. Syble had a zest for life enjoying church activities, playing bridge, and going out to eat with family and friends.

Surviving are two sons, Randall W. (Mary Sue) smith of Abingdon, Va., and Liston B. (Karen) Smith of Hendersonville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Ashley Smith of New York, N.Y., Sarah (Reid) Mansell of Pfafftown, N.C. and Parker and Zachary Smith, both of Hendersonville, N.C.; a great-grandchild, Allison Mansell of Pffafftown, N.C.; two sisters, Kathleen (Clearendon) Graham of Florence, S.C., and Ruby (Freddie) Moore of Loris, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Leta Bartell of Hemingway; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Smith was predeceased by a brother, J. H. Bartell.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2004, in the Indiantown Presbyterian Church Cemetery, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at the Indiantown Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service for her Myrtle Beach friends will be held 6 p.m. Thursday at the Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church. Morris Funeral Home is serving the family.

Memorials may be made in care of the Kindergarden of Indiantown Presbyterian Church, 4865 Hemingway Hwy., Hemingway, S.C. 29554.

CLARENDON, N.C. -- F.M. Stanley, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at home. Arrangements will be announced by Inman Funeral Home, Tabor City, N.C.

GEORGETOWN -- Amelia Trappier, 87, of the Sampit Community, died Tuesday, April 13, 2004. Arrangements will be announced by Wild Funeral Home.

Jacob T. B. Beard Jr.

LEBANON, Tenn.-- Jacob Thomas Barron Beard Jr., 63, widower of Elizabeth S. Beard, died Friday, February 20, 2004 in Tenn. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, at Andrews Memorial Cemetery, directed by Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.

Buicee Sosby Bramlett

MYRTLE BEACH -- Buicee Sosby Bramlett, age 89, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at Myrtle Beach Manor.

Mrs. Bramlett was born in Franklin County, Ga., a daughter of the late Oscar and Claine Edmonds Sosby. She was predeceased by husbands, James Benman Bramlett and Andrew Henderson; and three sons, Elra C. Bramlett, Julian B. Bramlett and Frank S. Bramlett.

Surviving are one daughter, Brenda Kay Brady and her husband, Freddie of Myrtle Beach; three sisters, Magdalene Wilson of Stephens Co., Ga., Joan Whiten of Greenville, and Frankie Sosby of Habersham Co., Ga.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Stowe Cemetery in Stephens Co., Ga. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

Charles F. Brill

PAWLEYS ISLAND -- Charles F. Brill, 74, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 in a Florence hospital. Arrangements will be anno-unced by Graham Funeral Home of Georgetown.

Jack McCall Eason

MURRELLS INLET -- Jack McCall Eason, age 74, of Wachesaw Rd., died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Born March 21, 1930 in Conway, he was the son of the late Edwin and Irene McCall Eason.

Mr. Eason was a US Air Force veteran serving in both Korea and Vietnam and later retired with 23 years of service. He then retired working in his brother's business, Gasoline Alley, with 19 years of service. He was a member of Belin Memorial United Methodist Church and was an avid animal lover. He was preceded in death by one sister, Irma Eason Phifer and one brother, Charles Eason.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ikuko "Judy" Amano Eason; stepmother, Lorine Brown Eason of Murrells Inlet; six brothers, Danny Eason of Murrells Inlet, Ken Eason of Wilmington, N.C., Bill Eason of Yorktown, Va., Tom Eason of Murrells Inlet, David Eason of Murrells Inlet, Frank Eason of Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Carolyn Eason Brooks of Panama City, Fla. and Shirley Irene Eason Wehunt of Myrtle Beach; nine nieces; and 14 nephews.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2004 at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 28, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Frances Humane Society, 125 Ridge Street, Georgetown, SC 29440 or to Caring For Kids, PO Box 7136, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.
