Nell Wycoff Williams

MYRTLE BEACH -- Nell Wycoff Williams, 92, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at her residence. She was born in Burke County, N.C. a daughter of the late Johnson and Teal Lail Wycoff. She made her home in Myrtle Beach since 1947.

Survivors include: two daughters, Connie Moshoures Smith of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Martha Williams Spirnock and her husband, Andy of Marsing, Idaho; four grandchildren, David E. Moshoures and his wife, Renee, Diane Moshoures Crawford, Andrew P. Spirnock III, and Janelle S. Havner and her husband, Brian; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by six brothers and six sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, Myrtle Beach with Dr. Robert Wilkes, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Southeastern Memorial Gardens in Myrtle Beach. Visitation will be Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1306, Myrtle Beach, S.C. 29578.

Moses Windley Jr.

CONWAY -- Moses Windley Jr., 72, died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at Conway Hospital following an illness.

Surviving are two daughters, Peggy Randall and Gayle Brown; one sister, Ever M. Parker; one brother, Rev. Joseph Windley; three grandsons; two granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday from the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Sandridge Community Cemetery. Latimer's Funeral Home is in charge.

Harry C. Anderson

SURFSIDE BEACH -- Harry C. Anderson, 67, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

He was born Dec. 10, 1936, the son of Charles Anderson and Margaret Hurley. Mr. Anderson graduated from Wappingers Central School in 1954 and Bryant College, Providence, R.I., in 1960. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958. Mr. Anderson worked in the finance and resource departments for IBM, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., for 30 years until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill, BPOE #275, Poughkeepsie, IBM Quarter Century Club, and Past President, East Fishkill Little League. Mr. Anderson was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Cooper Anderson of the home; sons, Jeff Anderson and his wife, Linda of Carmel, N.Y., and John Anderson of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; brothers, Charles Anderson of Chelsea, N.Y., James Anderson of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., Robert Anderson of Hopewell Junction, N.Y., Leonard Anderson of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and David Anderson of Wappingers Falls, N.Y. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Aug. 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, Jackson Street, Fishkill, N.Y. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 29 at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, N.Y. Interment will be at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 301 Manchester Road, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. 12603, or to the American Lung Association, 3 Winners Circle, Albany, N.Y. 12205

Mary Ellen Antisdel

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH -- Mary Ellen Antisdel, 74, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at her residence with her family at her side.

Mary Ellen was born in Manhattan, N.Y., daughter of Catherine O'Toole and of the late Thomas O'Toole. She was a teacher for life of business subjects and taught in New Jersey and Pittsburgh, but none of her children can type. She developed her business skills by working for her parents' grocery store in the Bronx. She wrote a published college business skills book and was a consultant for office efficiency for Heinz Co. in Pittsburgh. Mary Ellen strove for excellence in education at St. Johns, Rutgers, New York University, and University of Pittsburgh with Masters Plus Plus. She was entertainment before entertaining became popular.

Survived is her loving husband of 51 years, James Clark Antisdel; son, James Marley Antisdel, Airline Pilot of Portland, Ore., Mary Ann Zaruba, Realtor in Annapolis, Md., and her two sons, Fritz and Tucker and Thomas Clark Antisdel, Lawyer and Businessman in Washington, D.C. Surviving also are her sister, Kay Lauritano of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and her brother, Thomas O'Toole of Sante Fe, N.M.

A celebration of life will beheld at McMillan-Small Funeral Home on Friday, August 27th, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a church service on Saturday, August 28th at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 11:00AM.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice, PO Box 50640, Myrtle Beach, SC 29578.

Elizabeth May Chester

MYRTLE BEACH -- Elizabeth May Chester, 88, formerly of Clearwater, Fla., died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, at Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Born May 8, 1916 in Bentleyville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Percy and Della Coyle Baker. Mrs. Chester was a homemaker and a very active member of the Central Christian Church in Clearwater. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore in 1999; and a brother, Clarence.

Surviving are son, Gary L. Chester and wife, Lois of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Kimberly Bassarab and husband, James of Amissville, Va., and Traci Chester of Arlington, Va.; and three great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be later in Florida. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Samuel Dozier

GEORGETOWN -- Samuel Dozier, 66, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery. McKnight-Fraser Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Rufus Grayer

MIAMI -- Rufus Grayer, 69, died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, in Miami, Fla., following an illness.

Surviving are four daughters, Bonnie Reina, Thelma Grayer, Dorothy, and Tonya Grayer; five sisters, Betty Ward, Thelma Garner, Sarah Huffman, Gertrude Grayer, and Deacon Teresa Grayer-Campbell; two brothers, Roosevelt Grayer and Randolph Grayer; three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday at St. John Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Latimer's Funeral Home is in charge.

Beree Flowers Harmon

HEMINGWAY -- Beree Flowers Harmon, 70, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, in a Florence hospital after an illness.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday at First United Methodist Church.

Interment will follow in Harmon Cemetery, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Gladys C. MacKenzie Hill

MYRTLE BEACH -- Gladys C. MacKenzie Hill, 81, mother of Brian, Randy and Michael Mackenzie, died Aug. 25, 2004 in Myrtle Beach.

McMillan-Small Funeral Home (449-3396) of Myrtle Beach will announce funeral arrangements.

Joseph M. Ray Jr.

GARDEN CITY BEACH -- Joseph M. Ray Jr., 74 of Di-Cindy Lane died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at his home.

Born March 24, 1930 in Conway, S.C., he was the son of the late Joseph M. and Alice Lorrie Cannon Ray.

Mr. Ray was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran.

He was a retired brick mason and a member of Willow Creek Baptist Church in Florence.

Surviving are his wife, Pearl Newton Ray; children, Linda Daniels of Florence, Lorrie Smith of Socastee, Joseph D. Ray of Myrtle Beach, Richard A. Ray of Surfside Beach, Catherine R. Cooper of Garden City Beach, Johnny Ray and Kym Waldrep, both of Murrells Inlet.

Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday at Murrells Inlet Church of God.

Burial will follow in Ocean Woods.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel
