Walter 'Wally' Picco

MYRTLE BEACH -- Walter 'Wally' Picco 55 died Monday, Mar. 21, 2005.

He was born Dec. 04, 1949, in Italy, a son of the late Giovanni and Amelia Stel Picco.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Devereux Picco of Myrtle Beach; his son, Korry Picco, his daughter, Tracy P. Pereira and husband Steve, his brother, Carlo Picco, his granddaughter, Lia Pereira, all of Toronto, Ontario.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, Mar. 25, 2005, at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.

Final service will be held in Toronto next week.

Memorials may be made to Al-Anon Club of Myrtle Beach, 910-67th Ave N., Myrtle Beach, S.C. 29572.

McMillan-Small Funeral Home of Myrtle Beach is serving the family.

Eleanor M. Soles

MYRTLE BEACH -- Eleanor M. Soles, age 80, of Myrtle Heights died Thursday, Mar. 24, 2005 at Augusta Burns Center in Augusta, Ga.

Born Feb. 19, 1925 in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Antony and Rose Simonetta.

Mrs. Soles had retired in 1987 from AVX as a secretary.

She was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving are her husband, Elton E. Soles of Myrtle Beach; sons, John Soles of Stafford, Va., Jim Soles of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., and Jeff Soles of Myrtle Beach; sister, Marie Watson of Brandon, Fla.; grandson, Jeremy Soles, and granddaughter, Sonia Soles.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakdale Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Josephine Rose Sullivan

MURRELLS INLET -- Josephine Rose Sullivan, age 87, of Wesley Rd. died Wednesday, Mar. 23, 2005 at White Oak Manor in Charleston.

Born May 23, 1917 in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Mansour and Asmash Maloof Karem.

Mrs. Sullivan attended St. Michaels Catholic Church and Pawleys Island Community Church.

She was a homemaker and a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary 10420 in Murrells Inlet and loved to bowl and golf.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, James "Jim" E. Sullivan; daughters, Lois Accinno of Murrells Inlet, Pat Skodras and husband Chris, of Litchfield, and Diane Costa and husband Dave, of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Melanie Young, Nicholas Accinno, Brad White, Shanna White, Tanya Skodras and Kristin Costa; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Eli, and a brother, Pierce Karem.

Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Memorial Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058.

James Odell Teal

MYRTLE BEACH -- Mr. James Odell Teal, "Coach Teal", age 90, of Myrtle Beach, died Wednesday, Mar. 23, 2005 at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point, N.C.

Mr. Teal was an native of Wadesboro, N.C. and was the son of the late Charles Benton and Fannie Mae Lineberry Teal.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Jessie Meares Teal, and a son, Bobby Teal.

He was a graduate of Wake Forest University and received his Masters Degree from Appalachian State University.

He began his teaching and coaching career at Chadbourn High School in the late 30's and later at Monroe, N.C., Lumberton, N.C. and Chesterfield, S.C. He achieved a distinguished coaching career in Graniteville, S.C. during a span of nine years and finished the last fifteen years of his education career as principal of North Davidson Senior High in Welcome, N.C.

Mr. Teal is survived by two daughters, Pat Teal Rudy of Greensboro, N.C., and Debbie Teal Younts of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and a granddaughter, Angela Nicole Younts.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Mar. 26, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel , 3315 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, N.C. with Mr. Bill Teague officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Mar. 28, 2005 at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery in Chadbourn, N.C. The Teal family will also receive friends following the graveside service in Chadbourn. For directions to Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery you may call 910-654-3518.

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH -- Gary Bailey, died Thursday, Mar. 31, 2005 at his home. Arrangements will be announced by Lee Funeral Home & Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach.

June Kerstetter Bunty

MYRTLE BEACH -- June Kerstetter Bunty, age 81, of Palmetto Park, died Wednesday, Mar. 30, 2005 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Born Jan. 9, 1924 in Primos, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Hobart and Elizabeth Kinsley Kerstetter. Mrs. Bunty was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Charles H. Bunty; daughter, Karen Palmer and husband Curtis, of Newark, Del.; grandchildren, Melissa and Nicholas Ruggeri, and sisters, Betty Ruckert of Orlando, Fla. and Helen Johnson of Swedesboro, N.J.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.

Vergie Campbell

MULLINS -- Ms. Vergie Campbell died Thursday, Mar. 31, 2005. Arrangements will be announced by Troy's Funeral Home of Mullins.

John Michael Conlon

LITTLE RIVER -- John Michael Conlon, 75, of the River Hills Community, formerly of Clark, N.J., died Tuesday, Mar. 29, 2005 at Loris Comminuty Hospital.

He was born on Feb. 14, 1930 in Avoca, Pa., a son of the late John B. and Mary P. Sheridan Conlon.

He was a member and an Extraordinary Minister at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. He also volunteered at North Strand Helping Hand and the Children's Burn Center in Charleston.

John is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Hattersley Conlon of Little River; three brothers, Joe Conlon of Randolph, N.J., Thomas Conlon of Charleston, Patrick Conlon of Ansonville, N.C., and a sister, Sister Mary Louise Conlon (IHM) of Scranton, Pa. He is predeceased by a brother, James Conlon.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at Lee Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Father Gregory B. Wilson will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Strand Helping Hand, 813 St. Charles Road, North Myrtle Beach, S.C. 29582.
