William Emerson Englar Jr.

LITTLE RIVER -- William Emerson Englar Jr.,74, of Little River, died Sunday, July 10, 2005 at his home.

Born on July 15, 1930 in York, Pa., he was a son of the late William E. and Helen Mae Rowe Englar Sr.

He graduated from Temple University in 1952 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1954. He was self-employed as a pharmacist in York, Pa. from 1954 to 1997 when he retired to Little River where he enjoyed golfing and the beach.

Mr. Englar is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jacqueline Louise Fletcher Englar of Little River; two sons, William A. Englar III of Dover, Pa., Mark A. Englar of Chesapeake, Va.; two daughters, Alison L. Hawk of Charlotte, N.C., Diana E. Phillips of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a brother, Richard E. Englar of Oahu, Hawaii; a sister, Lois Ann Lyons of Stroudsburg, Pa. and 12 grandchildren, Angela Mummert, Wendy Zets, Matthew Englar, Justin Mummert, Christopher Englar, Joseph Hawk, Kelsey Phillips, Joshua Hawk, Joshua Phillips, Haley Englar, Kayla Englar and Abigail Englar.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the Chapel of Lee Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Christopher Carlisle will officiate. A celebration of William's life will be from 1 to 5 p.m. at Bellacroft Community Clubhouse, Hwy 90, Little River on Thursday afternoon.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Carolina Cancer Foundation, 8121 Rourk Street, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.

Lee Funeral Home & Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is serving the family.

Mary Bloodworth Kirksey Fowler

CONWAY -- Mary Bloodworth Kirksey Fowler, age 70, of Lawnwood Dr., died July 11, 2005 at her residence.

Mrs. Fowler was born in Reynolds, Ga., a daughter of the late Otis L. and Ida Lucille Winters Bloodworth. She was a member of South Conway Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Fowler was predeceased by her brother, Charles Lindbergh Bloodworth.

Surviving are her husband of 17 years, Clarence James Fowler of Conway; two sons, Lennis E. Kirksey of Conway, and Mark Lowell of Butler, Ga.; one daughter, Joy D. Church of Hampton, Va.; three step-sons, James Lee Fowler of Florida, Clyde Marvin Fowler of Illinois, and Alan Dale Fowler of Surfside; three step-daughters, Loretta Jane Lester of Socastee, Shirley Ann Dennis of Havelock, N.C., and Teresa Searcy of N.C.; one granddaughter, Kimberly Church; 14 step grandchildren and 14 step great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at South Conway Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Paul Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.

Memorials may be sent to South Conway Freewill Baptist Church, 3602 Copperhead Rd., Conway, SC 29527.

Thomas Goss

HEMINGWAY -- Thomas Goss, 65, died Friday, July 8, 2005. Service will be Friday, 2 p.m., at Carvers Bay High School with burial following in Sumpter-Goss Family Cemetery. Wilds Funeral Home is in charge.

David Levern Isreal

COLUMBIA -- Mr. David Levern Isreal Sr., age 35, husband of Mrs. Shree Harris Isreal, died Saturday, July 9, 2005. Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Friendship Miss. Baptist Church with burial following in the Devotional Gardens in Marion. Visitation is Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the McKiever Funeral Home in Conway.

Chase Matthew Jones

MYRTLE BEACH -- Chase Matthew Jones, 2, son of Diane Birnie and Christopher Jones died Monday, July 11, 2005. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. at McMillan-Small Funeral Home. Funeral services will be private.

Clint Burnus 'Burnie' Lockridge Jr.

ROCK HILL -- Mr. Clint Burnus "Burnie" Lockridge Jr. died Monday, July 11, 2005. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel with burial following in the Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Green Funeral Home Chapel.

LoRain Osbourne

MYRTLE BEACH -- LoRain Osbourne died Tuesday, July 12, 2005. Arrangements will be announced by Troy Funeral Home.

Mattie B. Sarvis

LORIS -- Mrs. Mattie B. Sarvis, 87, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2005 at her residence after an extended illness.

Survivors include, three children, Mrs. Mabel Goodyear (Frank) of Loris, Mrs. Joan Gause (Amos) of Loris and Mrs. Kathy Gause (David) of Oxon Hill, Md.; four grandchildren, Ms. Joyce Goodyear-Harmon of Washington, D.C., Ms. Jessica Chestnut-Curtis of Loris, Ms. Jewel C. Chestnut of Florence and Mr. David E. Gause Jr. of Oxon Hill, Md.; four great-grandchildren, Mr. Robert D. Goodyear (Charlissa) of Bowie, Md., Ms. Kristie Harmon of Columbia, Ms Crystal Harmon of Washington, D.C. and Mr. Derrick L. Curtis II of Loris; four great-great-grandchildren, Mr. Eugene DeLong Jr. of Loris, Ms Ebony DeLong of Loris, Mr. Eric DeLong of Loris and Ms. Robbi Goodyear of Bowie, Md.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Lucy Strickland of the Poplar Community of Horry County and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be at United Funeral Home of Loris, Wednesday, July 13, 2005 from 1 to 9 p.m. (7 to 9 p.m. family present) and services to be held, Thursday, July 14, 2005 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church of the Bayboro Community of Loris at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Thessalonia Graham giving the eulogy and burial following in the Silver Star Cemetery #2 in Loris.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund of Mercy Hospice.

United Funeral Home of Loris is in charge of services.

Barbara Mincey Seesan

CONWAY -- Barbara Mincey Seesan, age 56, beloved wife of Johnny Seesan, died Sunday, July 10, 2005, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Seesan was born April 18, 1949 in Loris, a daughter of Fletcher Clifton Mincey and the late Mary Frances Best Mincey. Mrs. Seesan was a very devoted mother, wife, sister, and nurse. She was a caring and loving nurse at Grand Strand Healthcare. She also enjoyed gardening and her special flowers.

Surviving in addition to her husband of Conway and her father of Loris are, one son, Lieutenant Ernest Levi Anderson Jr., an aviator in the United States Navy; two step-daughters, Karyn Seesan of Surfside Beach and Nichole Seesan Maxwell and her husband, Ian, of Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Bonnie Mincey Suggs of Loris and Dr. Betty Mincey Peavy of Aynor; one brother, Fletcher Clifton Mincey Jr. of Loris; two brother-in-laws, John W. Suggs and Joe M. Peavy, both of Loris; one sister-in-law, Amy Mincey of Loris; three nieces, Falon Suggs, Amy Springs and Brandy Mincey; two nephews, Sabian Suggs and Marty Mincey; special great-nieces, Bridgette Suggs and Roxie Blair Suggs and step nephew, Joe Peavy Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Randall Jones and the Rev. Dennis Mardis officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Lucian Sessions Jr.

GEORGETOWN -- Lucian Sessions, 51, died Saturday, July 9, 2005. Service will be Wednesday, at 4 p.m. at the First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Morning Glory Cemetery. Wilds Funeral Home is in charge.

Mary Small Singleton

CONWAY -- Mrs. Mary Small Singleton, 78, died Thursday, July 7, 2005. Services will be Wednesday at 12 p.m. at the St. James United Methodist Church with burial following in the Heaven's Gate Cemetery. McKiever Funeral Home, Inc. of Conway is in charge.

Sarah 'Lou' Stanley

CONWAY -- Sarah "Lou" Stanley, 59, died Friday, July 8, 2005, at Conway Medical following an illness.

The family received visitors last evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Beatrice G. Rhue Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services for Ms. Stanley will be today at 2:30 p.m. at The Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with interment following in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Rhue's Mortuary is honored to be serving the Stanley Family.
