WOLCOTT: Age 76. passed away quietly on October 8 2000. He is predeceased by his son, Robert Chapin and his daughter, Diane Chapin. He is survived by his wife of 53 1/2 years, Florence; 3 sons Arthur W. (Patty), Douglas (Robin) and Donald (Laureen); 3 daughters, Janice, (James) Schley, Holly (Gilbert) Burgess and Elise (Edward) Gaylord; 21 grandchildren; sister, Carol (Ira) Wheeler; daughter-in-law Jude Chapin; cousins, nieces & nephews. Interment in Huron Evergreen Cemetery. In 1ieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the Huron Presbyterian Church.

Gaines, Carolyn M.
NEWARK: Carolyn Marie Gaines, 19, died suddenly December 27, 1978. There will be no prior calling hours. A Memorial Mass was held on Friday, October 13th at St. Michael Church in Newark with Father Peter Clifford officiating. A private burial took place at East Newark Cemetery. In memory of Carolyn, in lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions to St. Michael School, South Main Street, Newark. Carolyn was born the daughter of Richard and Theadora Abbate Gaines on April 10, 1959. She graduated from Newark High School in 1977 and was a sophomore at Oswego College. Carolyn is survived by her parents Richard and Theadora Gaines; her sisters Janet (Paul) DeMyer and Jacqueline (Mark) Metzger; her maternal grandmother Rose Abbate; her niece Marissa and several aunts and uncles.

Haak, Mildred C.
MARION Mildred {Nortier) Haak entered Into enteral rest on October 12, 2000 at the Pines of Peace Home after a short illness. She worked on her family farm with her husband, Melvin, then went to Seneca Food Can Plant followed by a few years at Sarah Coventry, after she retired she enjoyed travelling and her family She was Secretary for the Walworth Senior Citizens. Survived by 2 daughters, Joan {Harne) Shaulis and Jane O'Connor 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Wiliiam "Roy' (Doris) Nortier; slsters-in-law, Edna and Doris Nortier; several brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews Preceded by her husband, Melvin and brothers, Robert, Laster "Bud", Clifford and Arthur Nortier and her sister-in-law, Bernice Nortier; grandson, Daniel Shalis There will be no prior calling hours. WILLIAMSON: Entered into rest on October 9, 2000 in her 71 st year. A life member of the First Presbyterian Church of Williamson. Survived by her loving family,: husband, George Strickland of 46 years; daughters, Deborah (Kris) Buerman of FL, Sue Ann Strickland of MD, Karen (Michael) Stitt of Marion; sons, Gary Strickland and Thomas Strickland both of Williamson, Joe Strickland of Rushville; 8 grandchildren; bother, Jack (Wendy) Mason of SC; sisters, Joyce Mason of Williamson, Patricia (AIbert) Griepsma of Newark, Gail (Gary) Verbridge of Williamson; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Predeceased by her parents, Harold and Mildred (Boyce) Mason; sister, Muriel Mason and brother, James Mason. Interment, Ridge Chapel Cemetery , Williamson. SODUS Age 69 of Harvest Dr. died on October 11, 2000 at ViaHealth of Wayne-Myers Campus in Sodus Mr. Gastrau was manager of the East Williamson Plant of Seneca Foods for 12 years, Plant Manager of Richardson Foods In Macodon for 5 years and more recently Alard Equipment Corporation In Williamson. He is survived by hls wife, Diana 4 chIldren, Jeffrey of Annapolis, MD, David of Milwaukee, WI, Steven (Karen) of Wauwatosa, WI, Pamela (Peter) Jaskulski of Franklin WI 5 grandchildren, Steven, Brent, Katie, Kay", and Alex; and brother, Donald (Diane) of Cavour, WI He was predeceased by his sister, Pauline. NEWARK/SODUS: On Oct.13, 2000 atage 58. He is survived by his daughters, Jeannette (Christopher) McMullen of Palmyra and Mary (John) Marsh of Coudersport, PA; four grandchildren, Karina, Brianna, Logan and Jakob; his step mother, Winifred Reeves of Louisville, KY; brother, Richard of Hamilton, ONT and sister, Darlene (Dennis) Frymark of Waco, TX.. He was predeceased by his wife, Brigitte in 1981 and a sister, Carol Tantalo in 1998. Burial will be in the East Palmyra Cemetery. PALMYRA: Went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 17, 2000 at the age of 80. Survived by his beloved wife, of 60 years, Madelyn; one daughter, Judy (Wilburt) Palmer; son, Allan (Tammy) Cambier; three grandsons, John (Kanina), Scott (Sara) Palmer, Matthew Cambier; two granddaughters, Jessica and Ashley Cambier; six great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Mr. Cambier was a member of the Second Reformed Church. A retired farmer and head custodian of Marion Elementary School. Memorials may be directed to the Second Reformed Church of Marion, 3757 Mill St, Marion NY 14505.

DiSanto, Nicholas V. “Nicky”
CLYDE: Nicholas DiSanto died on Sunday, November 19, 2000 at his home with his family by his side. He was 80 years old. Nicky was born in Clyde to Nicholas and Maggie Fratangelo DiSanto III. He attended St. John’s School and graduated from Clyde High School in 1938. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 19456. Having seen duty in the Pacific Theater, he was awarded the American Service Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant in 1946. Nicky was married to Doris Wiltsie in June of 1974. He has been employed at General Electric, Parker Hannifin and for over 50 years at the Ship Lantern Lanes before retiring from his job as a bus driver for the Clyde-Savannah School District. A lifelong resident of Clyde, Nicky was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society of St. Johns, the Lions Club of Clyde and the Clyde Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Corp. He was a member and past commander of Bud Hinman Post #947 VFW and the Collins-Cassavino Post of the American Legion. He was involved for many years with the Savannah Cellar Savers and the men’s and junior bowling leagues at the Old Galen Inn. Nicky is survived by his wife Doris, his son Michael Fabino of Lyons, daughter Julie Fabino of Newark, beloved daughters-in-law Cheryl Fabino of North Carolina and Cindy Fabino of Lyons; brother Raymond DiSanto of Seneca Falls; sisters Francis Augustine of Geneva and Betty Carello of Rochester, grandchildren Jaime Hastings, Tonya Kominiarck, Kelly Fabino, Aleia Tell8ier, Danielle Gallo9, Ariel Gallo, Nicholas Fabino and Brian Liberator; great grandchildren Briana Kominiarck, Shanan Majar and Camryn Hastings; aunts Mary Arnitz and Josie Sidler; nieces, nephews and many, many dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents, a son Danny, brothers Tony, Joe, Matty, Pete, Rocco and Octave and sisters Angie Iocco Marchitell and Helen Volpe. Memorial contributions may be directed to Genesee Regional Home Care Association, 513 West Union Street, Newark, NY 14513, the American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Rd. Kendall, Louise Anna
SODUS: Age 88, Passed away on Nov. 21, 2000 in Blossom View Nursing Home. She was predeceased by 2 daughters: Loretta Grabb and Lois Diver. She is survived by daughter, Lynnette (Jay) Olson of Sodus Pt. and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the First Reformed Church of Sodus. Interment Sodus Rural Cemetery.
