Don Mobley
SENECA - Mr. Don Mobley, 65, of 106 Meadow Drive died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, at his home.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Praise Cathedral Church of God, with the Revs. Bobby Johnson and Roger Allison officiating. Burial will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill.
A York County native, Mr. Mobley was a retired employee of Michelin Tire and a member of Praise Cathedral Church of God. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Gowan Mobley of the home; three sons, Don Sidney Mobley and Stanley Mobley, both of Rock Hill, and Rick Ellington of Townville; two daughters, Patricia Abernathy of Fort Mill and Ellen Helms of Rock Hill; two sisters, Mary Johnson of Rock Hill and Laura Sandridge of Salisbury, N.C.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wood Mortuary.
The family will be at the home of a sister-in-law, June Allison, 315 Mount Lebanon Road, Inman.
The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Willie Robinson Sr.
SALISBURY, N.C. - Mr. Willie Frank "Little Willie" Robinson Sr., 67, of 200 Harrel St. died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Gethsemane Baptist Church, with the Rev. J. L. Stowe officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
A Salisbury native, Mr. Robinson graduated from J.C. Price High School. He was retired from Food Lion Warehouse and was a former member of First Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Betty C. Robinson; five sons, Willie Frank Robinson Jr., Marvin A. Robinson, Theodore Robinson, Ronald Robinson and Garrett Robinson, all of Salisbury; two daughters, Shirley Robinson and Kathleen C. Allen, both of Salisbury; his brother, Thomas Robinson of Rock Hill; two sisters, Ann Collins of York and Barbara Robinson of Rock Hill; his granddaughter reared in the home, Brice Nicole Robinson; 26 other grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Gethsemane Baptist Church.
Rowan Funeral Home is in charge.

Flossie Rollins
LANCASTER - Mrs. Flossie Lucille Coggins Rollins, 75, of White Oak Manor died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, at White Oak Manor.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Anson Memorial Park in Wadesboro, N.C., with the Rev. John Mullis officiating.
Born in Davidson County, N.C., Mrs. Rollins was retired from Springs Industries quality control division and was a Methodist. She was the widow of James Luther Rollins.
Surviving are her son, James Luther Rollins Jr. of Davenport, Iowa; three daughters, Betty Taylor of Lancaster, Ann Walker of Aiken and Brenda Garner of Greensboro, N.C.; two brothers, Herbert Coggins and James Coggins, both of Wadesboro, N.C.; two sisters, Zola Buchanan of Matthews, N.C., and Betty Jane Owens of Mount Airy, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Clyde Watkins
DOTHAN, Ala. - Mrs. Clyde Watkins, 83, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, at her home.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Holman Funeral Home, with the Revs. Jerry Norris and Thaxton Whiddon officiating. Burial will follow at the Bersheba Cemetery.
A Dale County native, Mrs. Watkins was a tax collector from 1955-1960. She was active with the Sacred Harp Singers Association. She was a member of Friendship Assembly of God Church in Taylor.
Surviving are her husband, Raymond Watkins of Dothan; three sons, James Watson of Ozark, and Clarence Watson and Travis Watson, both of Newton; her daughter, Sarah Harper of Rock Hill; her brother, Louis Johnston of Echo; two sisters, Mollie Bell of Echo and Ann Tucker of Sylvester, Ga.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight at Holman's Funeral Home.

Merritt Adams
CHESTER - Mr. Merritt Thomas Adams, 82, formerly of 2025 Adams Farm Road, died Thursday, January 15, 1998, at St. Luke's Hospital in Columbus, N.C.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church Chapel, with the Rev. Clay Waldrip officiating. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.
Born in Vermont, he was the owner and operator of Adams Dairy Farm in Rodman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chester and attended Rutland and Burlington High Schools in Vermont. He also attended The Agricultural College in Vermont.
Surviving are three daughters, Ruth Adams Thorpe of Fairfax, Va., Elsie Adams Willis of Spartanburg, and Barbara Adams Westbrook of Edgemoor; his son, Donald M. Adams of Chester; his brother, Kenneth W. Adams of Champaign Urbana, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Barron Funeral Home.

Allien Barnett
YORK- Mrs. Allien Barnett of 209 Washington St. died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998 at Piedmont Health Care Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Galilee Baptist Church, with the Rev. W.O. Garrison officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are her son, Wilson Barnett Jr. of the home; three sisters, Amy Stockton of Jamaica, N.Y., Rosie Gardin of Gastonia, N.C., and Ruth Miller of Columbia; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 8 p.m. today. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Paul Bess
GROVER, N.C. - Mr. Paul Thomas Bess, 84, of Grover, N.C., died Friday, Jan. 16, 1998 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Allen Memorial Baptist Church, with the Revs. Norris Willis, Richard Dycus and Jimmy Harmon officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Mr. Bess was a self-employed farmer and a member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving are his son, Larry Bess of Grover; two daughters, Pauline Cabiness of York and Kay Patterson of Grover; four brothers, Wayne Bess of Kings Mountain, N.C., Bruner and Walter Bess, both of Waco, N.C., and Tommy Bess of Mooresboro, N.C.; four sisters, Sue Dycus and Jenette Bridges, both of Shelby, N.C., Maxine Wilson of Columbia, and Sethelle Hoyle of Rutherfordton, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Harvey Boyd Sr.
BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Rev. Dr. Harvey Lee Boyd Sr., 61, formerly of Rock Hill, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, at a Brooklyn hospital.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Union Baptist Church in Newport, with the Rev. Ronnie Baxter officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Harvey was a native of York County, a former school bus driver, a former member of Union Baptist Church in Newport and a member of Covenant Baptist Church, Harlem N.Y.
He was a mason, formerly the pastor at Colossius Baptist Church in New York for 12 years, a graduate of Emmett Scott High School and earned a master's degree in New York.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Boyd; four daughters, Mary Lou Boyd of Charlotte, Elizabeth Ann Boyd of Gastonia, N.C., Jacqueline Renee Boyd of Columbia and Renee Boyd of New York, N.Y.; six sons, Harvey Lee Boyd Jr., Darryl Caldwell of Charlotte, Randy Leon Boyd, Rodney Erwin Boyd, Jonathan Boyd, Maurice Allen Boyd, all of Gastonia; two sisters, Catherine B. McMoore and Lucille Robinson of Rock Hill; two brothers, Tommy H. Boyd and James Boyd Jr. of Bronx, N.Y.; 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home; and other times at 425 Blanche Circle, Rock Hill.
The body will be placed in the church at 11:30 a.m. Monday.

Willie Cockrell
BLACKSTOCK - Mr. Willie "Munch" Cockrell of 3045 Ashford Road died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Armenia Baptist Church, with the Rev. J. E. Darby officiating and the Rev. Moses Lightener assisting. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with full military rites.
A Blackstock native, Mr. Cockrell was a member of Armenia Baptist Church. He retired from the U.S. Army with 20 years of service. He attended the public schools of Chester County.
Surviving are his wife, Hattie B. Cockrell of Blackstock; his son, Willie J. Cockrell of Chester; three stepdaughters, Phyllis Hall and Belinda Cockrell, both of Blackstock, and Irish Cockrell of Rock Hill; his brother, Jessie Cockrell of Baltimore; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home.
The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Charles Crosby
ROCK HILL - Mr. Charles Richard Crosby, 76, of 291 Garden Way Apt. 5, died Friday, Jan. 16, 1988 at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Catawba United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Fant Steele officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Born in York County, he was the son of the late Charles M. and Hannah Cornwell Crosby. He was retired from Buice-Smith Construction Company, where he worked as construction supervisor.
He was a member of Catawba United Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Surviving are five brothers, Baxter Crosby of Sumter, Curtis Crosby, Robert Crosby and Jerry Crosby, all of Rock Hill, and Nelson Crosby of Catawba; three sisters, Jane Weaver of Rock Hill, Catherine Cowhig of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Shirley Stevens of Exton, Pa; and his stepmother, Ann Crosby of Rock Hill.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Bass Funeral Home.

Geraldine Funderburk
LANCASTER - Miss Geraldine "Gerbie" Funderburk, 53, of 417 Elm St., died Friday, Jan. 16, 1998 at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.
Greene Funeral Home will announce arrangements.

Clifford Jenkins
ROCK HILL - Mr. Clifford Earl Jenkins, 68, of 1107 Ebinport Road died Thursday, Jan. 15, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Daren Russell officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of Chester, Mr. Jenkins was a retired U.S. Army veteran with more than 23 years of service. He worked in the city of Rock Hill's maintenance shop. He served three tours in Korea and Germany and also served in Alaska and California and 18 months in Vietnam. He was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Watkins Jenkins of the home; his son, Kenneth Dale Jenkins of Fort Mill; his brother, Hall Jenkins of Rock Hill; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hopewell Presbyterian Church, PCA, 1571 S. Anderson Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Carl Medlin
ROCK HILL - Mr. Carl Wayne Medlin, 54, of 1661 Lakewood Drive died Friday, Jan. 16, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Lewis Patterson
ROCK HILL - Mr. Lewis Evans Patterson, 82, died Thursday, January 15, 1998, at his home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Clemons Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Edward Leonard officiating. Burial will be at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Born in Chesterfield County, Mr. Patterson was a member of Bethel United Church and later attended Crossroad Baptist Church. He worked at J.P. Stevens plant for 50 years.
Surviving are his wife, Janie W. Patterson of the home; five sons, Tommy Mack, Walter Mack, George Mack, James Patterson and Robert Patterson, all of Charlotte; four daughters, Rosa Roberts, Rosa M. Adams and Maggie P. Gordon, all of Charlotte, and Willie M. Gordan of Rock Hill; his sister, Willie Myers of Charlotte; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Clemons Funeral Home.
