Eva Revels
CHESTER - Mrs. Eva Estes Gilmer Revels, 87, of Radcliff Road died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Chester County Nursing Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Saluda Street Church of God, with the Rev. Dennis E. Reid officiating, and the Revs. Hubert Orvin and Barry Howell assisting. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Born in Monroe, N.C., Mrs. Revels was retired from Springs Industries and was a charter member of Saluda Street Church of God.
Surviving are her husband, Mathew J. Revels; two sons, Ronald Gilmer of Columbia and Charles Gilmer of Chester; three daughters, Margie Head and Frances Gheens, both of Chester, and Doris Black of Fort Lawn; her sister, Lottie Green of Fort Lawn; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wright's Funeral Home.

Jake Sanders
LANCASTER - Mr. Jake LaMar Sanders, 26, of 883 Hampton-Grace Ave. died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at his home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Cauthen Funeral Home, with the Revs. Brooks Walker and Karl Burnsdorff officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.
A Lancaster native, Mr. Sanders was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church and was employed by Control Services of Rock Hill.
Surviving are his wife, Dessie Hodge Sanders; his parents, Joe Lee and Martha McManus Sanders of Lancaster; his brother, Dean Sanders of Lancaster; his sister, Regina Dobson of Lancaster; and his maternal grandparents, James and Clara Funderburk of Fort Lawn.
The family will receive friends at the home of his parents, 1600 Maplewood Ave.
Memorials may be made to Bethel Colony of Mercy, 1675 Bethel Colony Road, Lenior, NC 28645.

Randall Turner
LANCASTER - Mr. Randall Buren "R.B." Turner, 68, of 3177 Camp Creek Road died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Camp Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Cecil N. Johnson officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Born in Simpsonville, the Rev. Turner was a graduate of North Greenville College and Furman University. He was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church and was a retired Baptist minister. He served at Lakewood Baptist Church in Kannapolis, N.C., Bethel Baptist Church in Campobello, Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church in Laurens, Camp Creek Baptist Church in Lancaster, Parkway Baptist Church in Chester, Emmanuel Baptist Church in Rock Hill and Malvern Hill Baptist Church in Camden. He also served in the Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Farr Turner of Lancaster; three sons, Keith Turner of Landis, N.C., Glenn Turner of China Grove, N.C., and Gregory Turner of Rock Hill; two sisters, Irene Vaughn and Josephine Strickland both of Greer; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight.
Memorials may be made to Camp Creek Baptist Church hymnal fund, 998 Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Fannie Adams
ROCK HILL - Ms. Fannie Adams of 623 Chestnut St. died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Crossroads Baptist Church, with the Rev. J.E. Boulware officiating and the Rev. Michael Golden assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of York County, Ms. Adams was a former employee of Smith Enterprises. She attended Crossroads Baptist Church and the public schools of York County.
Surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Adams of Rock Hill; four sons, James William Adams, Clayton Earl Adams, Barry Glenn Adams, and Gary Glen Adams, all of Rock Hill; four sisters, Eliza Williamson, Nettie Crawford, Alice Biggers, all of Rock Hill and Joyce Fair of Baltimore; her brother, David Adams of Rock Hill; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Monday at Crossroads Baptist Church.

Ralph Allen
COLUMBIA - Mr. Ralph T. Allen, formerly of Rock Hill, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998.
Arrangements will be announced by Greene Funeral Home.

Troy Bailey
CHESTER - Mr. Troy A. Bailey, 63, of 1015 Pine Ridge Road died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Chester County Hospital.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Barron Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ron Gaddy officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Bailey was a native of York County.
Surviving are his brother, Perry Dover Bailey of Chester and his sister, Shirley Winchester Helms of Chester.
Memorials may be made to Parkway Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1227, Chester, SC 29706.

Barbara Harrelson
CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Barbara Mae Buckley Harrelson, 70, of Riverside Drive died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998, at home.
A memorial service will follow a 1 p.m. visitation today at Crooks Memorial Presbyterian Church in Charlotte.
Mrs. Harrelson was a longtime member of Crooks Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she was a circle member and was involved with the Hot Lunch Program and the Home Extension Program.
Surviving are her husband, Bob Harrelson; her son, Leon Rippy Jr. of Van Euyes, Calif.; three daughters, Terrie Sanders and Gwen Harrelson, both of Charlotte, and Susan Baker of Fort Mill; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Cooks Memorial Baptist Church, 3413 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road, Charlotte, NC, or to Hospice at Charlotte Inc., 1420 East 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.

FORT MILL - Mrs. Rosa Hydrick, 92, of 1182 Heritage Court died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at home.
Arrangements will be announced by Whitesell-Wolfe Funeral Home.

Connie Mabry
CATAWBA - Mr. Connie "Mack" Mabry, 65, of 1199 Rainbow Circle died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Grand View Memorial Park, with the Rev. Daren L. Russell officiating.
A native of High Point, N.C., Mr. Mabry was a retired engineer and a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder. He was a 1950 graduate of Fort Mill High School and a 1954 graduate of Clemson University. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army following his graduation and participation in the Clemson ROTC program. After serving in the U.S. Army, he worked with several companies and corporations, including Northrop Corporation, a division of the McDonald-Douglas Corporation in Thousand Oaks, Calif. There, he was an engineer with the Apollo 13 program. He also worked with the Dupont Corporation in Wilmington, Del., Burlington Industries and Springs Industries.
Surviving are his son, Matthew Kevin Mabry of Philadelphia; his stepmother, Lula Mabry of Spartanburg; his half-brother, Ronnie Mabry of Spartanburg, his sister, Nancy Mabry Cooke of Rock Hill.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his sister, Nancy Cooke, 1904 Nations Ford Road.

Clora Martin
SMYRNA - Mrs. Clora Batchelor Martin, 89, of 1361 McGill Highway died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Canaan United Methodist Church in Smyrna, with the Revs. Todd Bolin and Roger Dodds officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of Cleveland County, N.C., Mrs. Martin was a member of Canaan United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of Frederick Martin.
Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie Jean Wyatt and Gennie Mae Wyatt, both of Smyrna; three sisters, Era B. Humphries of Hickory Grove and Mable Bolin and Evelyon B. Batchelor, both of Smyrna; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. today.
The family will receive friends at the home.

Velma Rome Martin
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Velma Rome Martin, 73, of 1632 E. Lakewood Drive died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1988.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Chapel-Greene Funeral Home. Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park.
A native of Lutcher, La., Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Lee C. Martin Sr.; her two sons, Lee C. "Sonny" Martin Jr. of Rock Hill and Tim J. Martin of Catawba; her daughter, Jennie M. Gamble of Rock Hill; two brothers, including her twin, Lester Rome, and C.J. Rome, both of Lutcher, La.; her two sisters, Olga Lambert of Gramcery, La. and Viola Babin of Lutcher, La.; her stepmother, Teresa Rome of Lutcher, La.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the home.

Nick Reynolds
CHESTER - Mr. Nick Reynolds, 67, of 1556 Columbia Road died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Providence Hospital in Columbia.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at the First Church of the Nazarene, with the Revs. Gregg Keller and Ralph Byars officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Born in Kershaw County, Mr. Reynolds attended the schools of Kershaw County and served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea. He was retired from Springs Industries and Campus Sportswear.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Reynolds; two sons, Larry Reynolds and Billy Reynolds, both of Chester; two brothers, Roy Reynolds and Freddie Reynolds, both of Chester; two sisters, Mary Branham of Lugoff and Carol Murphy of Columbia; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Barron Funeral Home is in charge.

Cora Roberts
GREAT FALLS - Mrs. Cora Evelyn Knight Roberts, 78, of 2322 Hidden Valley Road died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998, at home.
A graveside service will be 4 p.m. today at Greenlawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Larry Roberts officiating.
A native of Monroe, N.C., Mrs. Roberts attended Great Falls schools. She retired from J.P. Stevens Co. and was the widow of William Luther Roberts.
Surviving are her son, Buddy Joe Roberts of Richburg; her daughter, Amy Jean Camp of Shelby, N.C.; her brother, Ervin Knight of Leominster, Mass.; two sisters, Sadie Welch and Faye Cox, both of Great Falls; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home is in charge.

Roger Smith III
FORT MILL - Roger Steven Smith III, infant son of Roger Steven Smith Jr. and Debra Wells of Fort Mill, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Whitesell-Wolfe Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Parrish officiating. Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his maternal grandparents, Johnny Cook and Yvette Cook of Fort Mill; his paternal grandparents, Susan Smith and Steven Smith of Fort Mill; his maternal great-grandparents, Edith Cook and Lillian Polston of Fort Mill, Robert Wells of Georgia, and Martin Cook Sr. of Lancaster; and his paternal great-grandparents, Randy Johnson and Lucille Johnson of Fort Mill.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Whitesell-Wolfe Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Debra Wells, 207 Henry Street, Fort Mill.
