Michelle Banks
ROCK HILL - Miss Michelle Ann Banks, 29, of 1705 Bird St., Rock Hill, formerly of Chester, died Monday, Dec. 29, 1997 at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. today at Friendship Baptist Church in Chester, with the Rev. W.E. Page officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She was a Chester County native and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her father, Joe W. Banks of Chester; her mother, Mary Louise Feaster Banks of Knoxville, Tenn.; her foster mother, Clara C. Hardin of Chester; two brothers, John W. Banks of Chester and Jimmy Lee Banks of Allendale; four sisters, Janice B. Dunifer, Vickie Banks and Wanda Hayes, all of Chester, and Teresa Feister of Knoxville, Tenn.; and her foster sister, Montoya D. Hardin of Chester.
The family will receive friends at the home of Vicki Banks, 1345 Old York Road, Chester.
The body will lie in state at the church today, beginning at 1 p.m.
Denton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

James Beasley
ANDERSON - Mr. James Bobby "J.B." Beasley, 69, of 167 Cindy Drive died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at Anderson Area Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at McDougald Funeral Home. Burial will be at New Silverbrook Cemetery.
Born in Pelzer, Mr. Beasley was retired from BASF Fiber Products. He served in the U.S. Navy and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Toney Beasley of the home; three sons, Richard Beasley of Starr, Michael "Mickey" Beasley of Anderson and Timothy Beasley of Easley; five daughters, Yvonne B. Lamb of Westminster, Marie B. Morgan of Rock Hill, Tonya Beasley, Misty Beasley and Mandy Beasley, all of Anderson; two stepsons, James Moore and Robbie Moore, both of Anderson; his stepdaughter, Debbie Moore of Anderson; his mother, Gertrude Smith Beasley of Anderson; three brothers, Houston Beasley, Bill Beasley and Kenneth Beasley, all of Anderson; two sisters, JoAnn Rumsey and Jean Arnold, both of Anderson; his first wife, Lenore Beasley of Westminster; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home.
McDougald Funeral Home is in charge.

Zana Bomar
SIMPSONVILLE - Mrs. Zana C. Bomar, 61, of 306 Lancelot Drive died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998.
The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Rocky Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Born in Rock Hill, Mrs. Bomar was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church, where she was involved in the Lydia Sunday school class and the hand bell choir.
Surviving are her husband, George E. Bomar of the home; four daughters, Donna D'Andrea and Terri Spears, both of Fountain Inn, Mary Bomar of Greenville and Karen Bomar of the home; her father, Marion Sanders Campbell of Rock Hill; three brothers, Marion S. Campbell Jr. of Plano, Texas, Thomas G. Campbell of Williamsburg, Va., and Paul L. Campbell of San Diego; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at The Mackey Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 1801 Woodruff Road, Greenville, SC 29607 or to the Cancer Society of Greenville County, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605.

James Bradford
COLUMBUS, Ga. - Mr. James McLure Bradford, 90, of 6954 Springlake Drive died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at First Doctor's Hospital.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Barron Funeral Home in Chester, with the Rev. Randell V. Green officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Fort Lawn.
Born in Chester, Mr. Bradford was a retired pipe fitter with Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Company. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Columbus.
Surviving are his wife, Helen B. Bradford; his daughter, Jean Bradford Hare of Columbus; three sisters, Elizabeth Mills of Fort Mill, Mattie May Way of Sumter and Mildred Halfacre of Rock Hill; his half-sister, Agnes Harison of Great Falls; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Barron Funeral Home in Chester.

Rose Carter
ROCK HILL - Rose A. Carter, 33, of 421 S. Jones St. died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 1997, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Parker Funeral Home.

Cora Lee Horton
KERSHAW - Mrs. Cora Lee Gaskins Horton, 89, of 1029 W. C. Gandy Road died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at Springdale Village in Camden.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Abney Baptist Church, with the Revs. Mendle Baker and Larry Plyler officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Born in Westville, Mrs. Horton was a member of Abney Baptist Church where she had been a GA Leader, Sunday school teacher and had been recognized for 30 years of perfect church attendance.
Surviving are two daughters, Bobbie Huggins and Elinor Gandy, both of Kershaw; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Abney Baptist Church, Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, 3706 Roberts Road, Kershaw, SC 29067.
Cauthen Funeral Home is in charge.

Ashley Humphrey
COLUMBIA--Miss Ashley Erin Humphrey, 17, of 7822 Pinelake Road died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Richland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Frances Burnes United Methodist Church in Columbia, with the Rev. Mack McClam officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Columbia.
Born in Augusta, Ga., she was a junior at Richland Northeast High School, and was a member of Frances Burnes United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Albert Humphrey Jr., of the home; two sisters, Alyson Humphrey of Atlanta, and Alyssa Humphrey of Tallahassee, Fla.; one brother, Albert Humphrey III, of the home; paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Albert Humphrey Sr. of Columbia; maternal grandparents Alyce Wadsworth of Columbia and Willie Wadsworth of Cheraw.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight in Leevy's Funeral Home Chapel, Columbia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 3608 Landmark Drive, Suite C, Columbia, SC, and the American Diabetes Association.

Andrew Loveless
BLACKSBURG - Mr. Andrew "Mike" Loveless, 63, of Kings Mountain National Military Park died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby, N.C.
A funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Monday at Christ the King Catholic Mission of Kings Mountain, with the Rev. Carl E. Kaltreider officiating. Burial will be at Clingman's Memorial Garden.
Born in Chicago, Mr. Loveless worked for the National Park Service for 39 years and was superintendent of Kings Mountain National Military Park since 1976. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Mission. He was a member of the Marine Corp Reserve and served an active duty tour from 1952-55 during the Korean Conflict. He was the widower of Dorothy J. "Dottie" Thompson Loveless.
Surviving are his son, Chris Loveless of Blacksburg; his daughter, Cathy Teasley of Shelby, N.C.; his half-sister, Justine Smith of Darien, Ill.; and his grandson.
A Rosary Service will be 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Harris Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. after the service.

Connie Mabry
CATAWBA - Mr. Connie "Mack" Mabry, 65, of 1199 Rainbow Circle died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Grandview Memorial Park, with the Rev. Daren L. Russell officiating.
Born in High Point, N.C., Mr. Mabry was a 1950 graduate of Fort Mill High School and a 1954 graduate of Clemson University. He was a retired engineer. He was in the Clemson ROTC program and a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He worked for Northrop Corporation, in Thousand Oaks, Calif., where he was an engineer with the Apollo 13 program. He also worked with Dupont, Burlington Industries and Springs Industries. He was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder.
Surviving are his son, Matthew Kevin Mabry of Philadelphia, Pa.; his stepmother, Lula Mabry Cooke of Rock Hill; his sister, Nancy Mabry Cooke of Rock Hill; and his half-brother, Ronnie Mabry of Spartanburg.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Greene Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister, 1904 Nations Ford Road.
Memorials may be made to Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 1571 S. Anderson Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730. Clora Martin SMYRNA - Mrs. Clora B. Martin, 89, of 1361 McGill Highway, Smyrna, died Friday, Jan. 2 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill
Arrangements will be by White Columns Funeral Service in Blacksburg.

Velma Martin
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Velma Rome Martin, 73, of 1632 E. Lakewood Road died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at her home.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Greene Funeral Home. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.
Born in Lutcher, La., Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Lee C. Martin Sr.; two sons, Lee C. "Sonny" Martin Jr. of Rock Hill and Tim J. Martin of Catawba; her daughter, Jennie M. Gamble of Rock Hill; two brothers, Lester Rome and C. J. Rome, both of Lutcher, La.; two sisters, Olga Lambert of Gramcery, La., and Viola Babin of Lutcher, La.; her stepmother, Teresa Rome of Lutcher, La.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Greene Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

David McClurkin
CHESTER - Mr. David Horace McClurkin, 34, of Atlanta, formerly of Chester and Long Island, N.Y., died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1997 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Baptist Church, Halseville community, with the Rev. George Lowry officiating, and the Rev. J. Heath assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Born in Long Beach, N.Y., Mr. McClurkin was a salesman, a member of Holy Trinity Baptist Church in Amityville, N.Y., and a graduate of Copiaque High School in New York. He attended Farmingdale SUNY College where he was a basketball player.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra McClurkin; three daughters, Nina, Nadia and Nia McClurkin, all of Atlanta; his parents, Willie James McClurkin Sr. and Odessa P. McClurkin of Amityville, N.Y.; three brothers, Frederick McClurkin of Atlanta, Calvart McClurkin of Los Angeles, Calif., and Willie Jay McClurkin of Long Island, N.Y.; and two sisters, Laverne Price of Copiaque, N.Y., and Lavanina McClurkin of Atlanta.
The family will receive friends at the home of Azelee Springs, Nelson Street, Chester.

Jessie Mae Nance
YORK - Mrs. Jessie Mae Castle Nance, 87, of Meadowhaven Nursing Center, formerly of 282 Fairview Circle, died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Meadowhaven.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Wright Funeral Home.

Annie Ormand
LANCASTER - Mrs. Annie Bernice Thompson Ormand of 800 Chesterfield Ave. died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hartley Funeral Home, with the Revs. Glenn Strickland and Gary Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
A Lancaster County native, Mrs. Ormand was retired from Springs Industries and attended University Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth Eugene Ormand of the home; two sons, John Kenneth Dobson of Salisbury, N.C., and Mickey W. Dodson of Lancaster; three daughters, Joyce Taylor, Peggy Knight and Jenny Huey, all of Lancaster; four stepsons, Kenneth E. Ormand Jr. of Columbia, Bernard Joe "Bennie" Ormand of San Ramon, Calif., Richard John Ormand of Lancaster and Mitchell Lee Ormand of Walhalla; 10 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home.
