ROCK HILL - Mrs. Claudia Dee Fox, 60, of 3011 S. Anderson Road, Rock Hill, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 1997, at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bass Funeral Home.
Surviving are her husband, Giles Fox; her stepson, Mark Price; and two sisters, Linda King of Rock Hill and Cindy Haub of Dayton, Iowa.

Mary Garvin
GASTONIA, N.C. - Mrs. Mary Helen Pratt Garvin, 76, of 803 Circle View Drive died Saturday, Dec. 27, 1997, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be noon Saturday at the Weeping Mary Baptist Church cemetery in Bowling Green, with the Rev. Samuel H. Barber Jr. officiating.
A native of Gaston County, Mrs. Garvin was a homemaker. She was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, Michael Pratt of Gastonia, N.C.; her sister, Nisure P. Hardin of Rock Hill; and her brother, Charlie Pratt of Gastonia, N.C.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Costner Funeral Home in Gastonia.

T. Wayne Hill
GREAT FALLS - Mr. T. Wayne Hill, 44, of 3136 Scott Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 1997, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Great Falls Church of God, with the Revs. Roy Puckett and Susan Brook officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Born in Chester County, Mr. Hill was a construction worker. He graduated from Great Falls High School and attended the Great Falls Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Gail Young Hill; three sons, Michael Hill of Fort Lawn, and Chris Hill and Brett Tyler Hill, both of the home; his daughter, Maggie Hill, of the home; his brother, Charles Ronnie Hill of Great Falls; and his sister, Joann H. Smith of Great Falls.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.

Charles Isom
FORT WASHINGTON, Md. - Mr. Charles Elvert Isom of 2806 Kingsway Road, formerly of Rock Hill, died Monday, Dec. 29, 1997, at his home.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Carmody Hills Baptist Church in Seat Pleasant, Md., with the Rev. Corman officiating.
Surviving are his wife, Arlene Isom; three sons, Gregory Isom, Andre Isom and Steven Isom, all of Fort Washington, Md.; his daughter, Jocelyn Arlene Isom of Fort Washington, Md.; his brother, Willie Isom of Rock Hill; and his sister, Helen Isom McClure of Rock Hill.
Robert Mason Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Juanita King
NEW YORK - Ms. Juanita McCrorey King, 70, formerly of Great Falls, died Monday, Dec. 29, 1997, at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, N.Y.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Riverside Methodist Church in Manhattan, N.Y. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Bronx.
Mrs. King was a retired domestic worker and a former member of Pleasant Grove AME Zion Church in Great Falls. She attended Chester County public schools and was the widow of James King.
Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Ann King of New York; three brothers, Lattimore "L.T." McCrorey of Great Falls, John Osborne McCrorey of New York and Floyd McCrorey Sr., of Silver Springs, Md; her sister, Louise Seay of New York; and a number of grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Unity Funeral Home, 2352 8th Ave., Manhatten, N.Y.
King's Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

David McClurkin
CHESTER - David Horace McClurkin, 34, of Atlanta, Ga., formerly of Chester and Long Island, N.Y., died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1997 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta.
The funeral arrangements, which are incomplete, are being handled by Denton Funeral Home in Chester.

James Moffatt
CHESTER - Mr. James Walter Moffatt, 83, of San Bernardino, Calif., died Saturday, Dec. 27, 1997, at Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, Calif.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chester Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Dwight Pearson officiating.
Born in Chester, Mr. Moffatt was a member of the Chester ARP Church. He graduated from Chester High School and Erskine College. He was a retired civil service employee with the U.S. Air Force and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his cousin, Edward Hood Dawson Sr. of Chester.

Jack Nivens Jr.
ROCK HILL - Mr. Jack Nivens Jr., 75, of 1620 Eagles Landing, Apt. 104-I died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Memorial Park, with the Rev. Ernie Nivens officiating.
A York native, Mr. Nivens was the widower of Mary Smith Nivens. He was a weave room overseer with the Aragon plant for J.P. Stevens and Springs Industries.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and saw action in the Philippines, where he received the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Bethel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three brothers, David S. Nivens and Virgil A. Nivens, both of Rock Hill, and R. Lewis Nivens of Dayton, Ohio; and three sisters, Mary N. Hogue of York, and Margaret N. Turney and Bobbie N. Thompson, both of Rock Hill.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home of David Nivens, 1320 Ebinport Road, Rock Hill.

Roxie Paige
ROCK HILL - Ms. Roxie Anna Paige, 64, of 647 Winthrop St., Brooklyn, N.Y., formerly of Rock Hill, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1997, in New York.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Pineville AME Zion Church in Rock Hill, with the Rev. Eugene Goodwin officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Ms. Paige was a supervisor of housekeeping at Kainsbrook Medical Hospital in Brooklyn. She was a former member of Pineville AME Zion Church and attended Emmett Scott High School.
Surviving are her daughter, Lottie Jean Paige of Rock Hill; her companion, Henry Phillips of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three sisters, Lottie Paige of Rock Hill, Essie Yates of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Louise Williams of Rosedale, N.Y.; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home in Rock Hill and at other times at 1030 Stoneybrook Lane, Rock Hill.
The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Carol Peak
HARTFORD, Conn. - Miss Carol Peak, 56, formerly of Chester, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at a Hartford hospital.
Arrangements will be announced by King's Funeral Home in Chester.

John Peay
ROCK HILL - Mr. John Massey Peay, 82, of 690 Annafrel St. died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at his home.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Home with the Revs. Dennis Reid and Fred Sandford officiating. Burial will be at Laurelwood Cemetery.
Born in Blackstock, Mr. Peay was of the Presbyterian faith. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Co., where he worked in the shader and packing department for 43 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Lee Melton Peay; three sons, John W. Peay of Huntersville, N.C., Frank Peay of York, and Doug Peay of Chester; four daughters, Janice P. Hammock of Lakeland, Fla., Donice P. Lark and Emily H. Jeanes, both of Rock Hill, and Gladys H. Weed of Mount Pleasant; three brothers, Oscar Peay of Richburg and George Peay and Robert Peay, both of Chester; four sisters, Ross Owens, Rose McKeown, Betty Wages and Evelyn Bridges, all of Chester; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Mary Saxon
LANCASTER - Mrs. Mary Broughton Saxon, 65, of 2764 Kirkover Drive died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Jones Crossroads Baptist Church with the Rev. Buford Hayes officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Saxon was the widow of Marvin Edgar Saxon. She was a member of the Jones Crossroads Baptist Church, where she was a member of the WMU.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy Boone and Kim Pope, both of Lancaster; her mother, Inez Wright Broughton of Lancaster; five brothers, Major Boyd Broughton of Laurinburg, N.C., Marion Raymond Broughton of Lancaster, William Franklin Broughton of Huffman, Texas, the Rev. Jerry Marion Broughton of Rock Hill and Kenneth Allen Broughton of Islandton; her sister, Donna Craig of Lancaster; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Cauthen Funeral Home, Lancaster Chapel, and at other times at the home.

Linson Stegall
FORT MILL - Mr. Linson Lee Stegall, 73, formerly of Fort Mill, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at Countryside Manor in Stokesdale, N.C.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Whitesell-Wolfe Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. John Fastenau officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill.
Born in Chesterfield County, Mr. Stegall owned Low Country Marble in Myrtle Beach. He was a member of Christ Cornerstone Presbyterian Church and a World War II veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Janet B. Stegall; his daughter, Lynn A. Stegall of Memphis, Tenn.; three sons, Mark B. Stegall of Danville, Va., Gary M. Stegall of Augusta, Ga., and Kenneth L. Stegall of Myrtle Beach; three brothers, Henry Colson Stegall and Richard Stegall, both of Fort Mill, and Bobby Stegall of Rock Hill; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Whitesell-Wolfe Funeral Home.

LANCASTER - Mrs. Catherine Humphries Trull, 72, of 1052 W. Laurel Ave. died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 1997, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hartley Funeral Home chapel, with the Revs. Jim Spencer and R.B. Ashley officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.
Born in Kershaw County, Mrs. Trull was retired from Springs Industries at the Lancaster plant cafeteria. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, J.T. Trull; her son, Jason Switzer of Lancaster; her brother, Junior Humphries of Augusta, Ga.; two half-brothers, Donald Humphries and Bobby Ferguson of Warner Robbins, Ga.; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Hartley Funeral Home.
