Ruth Eiler
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Ruth Mildred Geis Eiler, 95, of 2801 Long Shadow Lane died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at her home.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. March 6 at Riverview Memorial Park in Verona, Pa.

Born in Verona, Mrs. Eiler was a member of Leechburg United Methodist Church in Leechburg, Pa.

She was a homemaker and was the past secretary-treasurer of the Armstrong County

Senior Citizens Association. She was the widow of Joseph Eiler.

Surviving are her son, Roy F. Eiler of the home; her daughter, Arleen E. Scarboro of Rock Hill; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Betty Fletcher
QUEENS, N.Y. - Mrs. Betty Miller Fletcher, formerly of Fort Mill, died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998, at Winthrop Medical Center on Long Island, N.Y.

The funeral will be 5:30 p.m. Sunday at J. Foster Phillip Chapel in Queens, N.Y., with minister Ervette Newsome officiating.

Burial will be 9 a.m. Monday at Nassau Nobles Cemetery in Port Washington, N.Y.

A Fort Mill native, Mrs. Fletcher was a graduate of George Fish High School.

She attended Friendship Junior College and C.W. Post Nursing School.

She was employed at Creedmore State Hospital as a registered nurse.

She was a member of James Chapel Baptist Church in Fort Mill.

Surviving are her husband, Frank Fletcher of New York; two daughters, Nicole Fletcher and Ladawn Fletcher, both of New York; her stepfather, Woodrow Jackson of New York; four brothers, Herbert Miller of Baltimore and Douglas Jackson, Michael Jackson and Donald Jackson, all of New York; her sister, Shelia Boykin of New York; and four grandchildren.
Clemons Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Austin Truesdale
LANCASTER - Mr. Austin Franklin "John" Truesdale, 91, of 1628 John Truesdale Road died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Camp Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Cecil Johnson officiating.

Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Born in Camden, Mr. Truesdale was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church and was a farmer.

Surviving are his wife, Plassie B. Truesdale; his daughter, Bleeka Morrison of Lancaster; two brothers, Floyd Truesdale of Lenoir, N.C., and Herbert Truesdale of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Beam and Litle Bridges, both of Shelby, N.C.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to John Truesdale Memorial Fund, 1629 John Truesdale Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Franklin Bailey
ROCK HILL - Mr. Franklin Richard Bailey, 40, of 746 Blake St. died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

A memorial service will be 7 tonight at Parker Funeral Home, with the Rev. B.R. Wilson officiating. Burial will be private.

Born in Morristown, N.J., Mr. Bailey attended Morristown High School and moved to Rock Hill in 1997.

Surviving are two daughters, Takia Bailey of Lakewood, N.J., and Evelyn Bailey of Scranton, Pa.; his mother, Evelyn Bailey of Rock Hill; three brothers, John Bailey and William Bailey, both of Morristown, N.J., and Wayne Bailey of Richfield, N.C.; his grandmother, Viola Marrow of Rock Hill; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Charles Bigger
FORT MILL - Mr. Charles Robert Bigger, 89, died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

A graveside service will be 3 p.m. today at Grandview Memorial Park, with the Rev. William Pender officiating.

Born in York County, Mr. Bigger retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Co. after 38 years of employment. He was a member of Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the VFW.

Surviving are his brother, Jack Bigger of Rock Hill; and his sister, Mildred Bigger of Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends at the home of Mildred Bigger, 325 Park Ave.

Memorials may be made to Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church, 421 W. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730 or to Rogers Memorial ARP Church, 1820 Eden Terrace, Rock Hill, SC 29730 or to the charity of one's choice.

Ruth Broach
LANCASTER - Mrs. Ruth Davis Broach, 83, of 1563 Cedar Dale Lane died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Second Baptist Church, with Dr. James D. Spencer III and the Rev. Clarence Adkins officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Born in Lancaster County, Mrs. Broach was a retired employee of Springs Industries. She was a member of Second Baptist Church for 70 years.

She was the widow of Warren C. Broach.

Surviving are four sons, Farrell G. "Buck" Broach of Lancaster, Dennis Broach of Hemingway, Wayne Broach of Rock Hill and Robert L. Broach of Catawba; four daughters, Novice Neely of Chesnee, Quinn Davis of Rock Hill, and Judy Catoe and Cherry Thomas, both of Lancaster; her brother, Walter Glenn Davis of Surfside Beach; 25 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Mahaffey Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church piano fund, 1426 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Hazel Corrick
LANCASTER - Mrs. Hazel Warren Corrick, 90, died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be private.

Born in Lyndon, Wis., Mrs. Corrick was a retired nurse and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Oswego, Ill.

She was the widow of Donald Eddy Corrick.

Surviving are her daughter, Patricia Knezevich of Lancaster; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Lancaster Disabilities and Special Needs Board, 1126 Camp Creek Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Frances Dye
GREAT FALLS - Mrs. Frances Williams Dye, 85, of Douglas Circle, Youngstown Community died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, at Rehab and Nursing Center in Monroe, N.C.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at First Mount Zion Baptist Church, with the Rev. E. Jeeter officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Born in Fairfield County, Mrs. Dye attended the public schools of Chester County and was a member of First Mount Zion Church where she was a member of the senior choir. She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter No. 118.

She was the widow of Coy Dye.

Surviving are her son, Robert Dye of the home; and two grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 tonight at Washington Funeral Home.

The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Edwin Estridge
KERSHAW - Mr. Edwin Wilson Estridge, 79, of 3958 Timrod Road, Bethune, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Timrod Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harold Adams officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Born in Bethune, Mr. Estridge was a member of Timrod Baptist Church where he was a deacon and a teacher of the senior adult Sunday school class. He was a member of the Woodman of the World Lodge 737 and was an Air Force veteran and prisoner of war. He was retired from the Kendall Co. as a heating and air conditioning mechanic.

Surviving are his wife, Iris McCaskill Estridge; his son, Edwin Wilson Estridge Jr. of Florence; three sisters, Tully E. Jones of Spartanburg, Kathleen E. Jernigan of Georgetown and Cleora E. Jones of Bethune; two grandchildren; and a step-granddaughter.

The family will receive friends at the home.
