Evelyn Criminger

GREAT FALLS - Mrs. Evelyn Connor Evans Criminger, 72, of 1010 Chester Ave. died Sunday, June 27, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Second Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park in Lancaster.

A native of Lancaster, Mrs. Criminger was a member of Second Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. She was a retired apparel inspector at Heath Springs Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Criminger was a graduate of Lancaster High School.

Surviving are her husband, Douglas O. Criminger; two sons, Tony Evans and Toby Evans, both of Lancaster; two daughters, Nancy Starnes and Gayle Ghent, both of Lancaster; two stepsons, Guy Carter of Greenville and George Carter of Charlotte; two stepdaughters, Mae Gray and Rae Hail, both of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Elizabeth Riley of Lancaster and Vivian Ferguson of Williamston; 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home and from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Second Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church, 32 Seaboard St., Great Falls, SC 29055.

Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home is in charge.

Inez Jones

LANCASTER - Mrs. Inez Reeves Jones, 72, of 2527 Cane Mill Road, died Sunday, June 27, 1999, at the home of her daughter in Lancaster.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel, Lancaster, with the Rev. Larry Reeves officiating.

Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Born July 29, 1926, in Kershaw County, Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Picola Holden Reeves and the wife of the late Harry E. Jones.

Surviving are two sons, Richard C. Jones and Dennis L. Jones, both of Lancaster; her daughter, Rachel Jones Hughes of Lancaster; her sister, Betty Sue Hough of Kershaw; 11 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Hartley Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster. The family will be at the home of Rachel Hughes, 364 Old Fork Hill Road, Lancaster.

Orlyn Lint

FORT MILL - Mr. Orlyn Ray Lint, 69, of 322 Swamp Fox Road died Saturday, June 26, 1999, at his home.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at High Point Ministries, with the Rev. Harry Fenwick officiating.

Born Oct. 14, 1929, in Hillsdale, Mich., Mr. Lint was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked in the aerospace industry as a skilled machinist for Air Research Corp. in Phoenix. He moved to Fort Mill 16 years ago and was employed with Heritage USA and later with the Carmel Country Club. A member of High Point Ministries, he was the son of the late Thomas Ray and Clarice Linebrink Lint.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Ulrich Lint of Fort Mill; his son, Michael Andrew Lint of Fort Mill; his daughter, Kristine Danielle Stephenson of Hillsdale; two sisters, Luella Britton and Thelma Oberlin, both of Jackson, Mich.,; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home, 322 Swamp Fox Road, Fort Mill.

John Patrick

CLINTON - Mr. John Alexander Patrick, 87, formerly of Tom Hall Street, Fort Mill, died Saturday, June 26, 1999, at the Presbyterian Home in Clinton.

Burial will be at Unity Cemetery at 1:45 p.m. today, followed by a 2 p.m. memorial service at Unity Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeannie Bickett officiating.

Born July 28, 1911, in Fairfield County, Mr. Patrick was a graduate of Erskine College and a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. The widower of Jennie Bradford Patrick, he was retired from Kimbrells Furniture and a member of Unity Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his daughter, Ruth Patrick Anderson of Columbia; and three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1267, Fort Mill, SC 29716.

Lily Pritchett

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Mrs. Lily Maybury Pritchett, 95, of Greensboro, N.C. died Saturday, June 26, 1999, at Evergreen Nursing Center in Greensboro.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bass Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Mill, with the Rev. Michael Bearden officiating.

Burial will be in Orlando, Fla.

Born in Hardingville, N.J., Mrs. Pritchett was the daughter of the late Rev. James T. and Ella Harris Maybury. The widow of Wilson T. Pritchett, she was a homemaker and a member of Greensboro First Church of Nazarene.

Surviving are her son, Wilson D. Pritchett of Glenrock, Pa.; her daughter, Ellen M. Smith of Fort Mill; her brother, Ted Maybury of Cockeysville, Md.; two sisters, Ella O'Kelly of Orange Park, Fla., and Dorothy Laurence of Baltimore; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bass Funeral Home.

Nancy Wade

LANDO - Miss Nancy Carol Wade, 65, of 38 Chambers St. died Sunday, June 27, 1999, at the home of her niece in Edgemoor.

A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Lando Cemetery with the Rev. Sam Warwick officiating.

A native of Lando, Miss Wade was retired from Manetta Mills, where she worked in the cutting room. The daughter of the late Claude Orr and Vada Orr Wade, she was a homemaker and a Methodist.

Surviving are her brother, Ronald D. Wade, of Lando; her niece and caregiver, Kathy Bagley, of Edgemoor; her nephew, Robert Wade of Lando; and a number of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the Greene Funeral Home, Rock Hill, and at the cemetery following the service on Tuesday. They will receive friends at other times at the home of Kathy Bagley, 4838 Wylie's Mill Road, Edgemoor.

John Cucinello

CHARLOTTE - Mr. John M. Cucinello, 67, of Charlotte died Monday, June 28, 1999, at Presbyterian Hospital.

The funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 3016 Providence Road, with the Rev. Richard M. Bellow officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn East Cemetery in Matthews, N.C.

A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Cucinello was a son of the late George Cucinello and Phyllis Caiazzo Cucinello. He graduated from St. Peters College in Jersey City, N.J. He was commodities trader on Wall Street before moving to the Charlotte area in 1977. He was owner and president of Midway Wholesale in Rock Hill.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret M. Cucinello; two daughters, Janice Alabbas of Charlotte and Francene Cucinello of Nashville,Tenn.; his sister, Marie Mercuri of Levittown, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.

Rosary will be said at 7 tonight at Harry and Bryant Funeral Home, 500 Providence Road, Charlotte, followed by visitation until 8:30.

Faye Davis

WAXHAW, N.C. - Mrs. Faye Greene Davis, 91, of Waxhaw died Sunday, June 27, 1999, at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe, N.C., with the Rev. Jay Roach officiating. Burial will be in the Waxhaw City Cemetery.

A native of Union County, N.C., Mrs. Davis was a daughter of the late Walter Caldwell Greene and Leona Greene.

Surviving are three sons, Lee Davis of Gastonia, N.C., Carroll Davis of Charlotte and Walter Davis of Fort Mill; her daughter, Billie Kuykendall of Austria; her brother, James C. Greene of Waxhaw; three sisters, Nora G. Haywood of Waxhaw, Sarah Comer of Portsmouth, Va., and Evon Sellers of Newton, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at McEwen Funeral Home, 204 S. Main St., Monroe, N.C.

Maude Fowler

CHESTER - Mrs. Maude Huntington Fowler, 84, formerly of Chester, died Sunday, June 27, 1999, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Winnsboro.

The graveside service will be 5 p.m. Wednesday at Lando Cemetery.

A native of Chester County, Mrs. Fowler was a daughter of the late William P. Huntington and Amanda Brooks Huntington. She was the widow of Lewis Fowler. She was formerly employed with Springs Industries.

Surviving are her sister, Beatrice H. Clack of Blackstock; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.

Juanita Grant

CHESTER - Mrs. Juanita Chandler Grant, 71, of 1145 Craigbrow Circle died Monday, June 28, 1999, at Providence Hospital in Columbia.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Barron Funeral Home, with the Revs. Steve Brown and Reggie Parker officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

A native of Cowpens, Mrs. Grant was a daughter of the late Rev. John Adolphus Chandler and Mary Lila McClain Chandler. She was the widow of James W. "Jimmy" Grant. A graduate of Spartanburg High School, she was formerly employed with Springs Industries.

She was a lifelong Methodist.

Surviving are her son, David Grant of Chester; two daughters, Gail G. Lee and Debbie Cooper, both of Rock Hill; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.

Evelyn Kalsey

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Evelyn Marie Yankura Kalsey, 73, of 1914 Aldersgate Road died Monday, June 28, 1999, at Vencor Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cauthen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert E. Dearborn officiating. Burial will be at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.

A native of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Kalsey was a daughter of the late Albert Yankura and Anna Vresko Yankura. She was the widow of Victor Kalsey Sr. She was retired from Sears-Roebuck in Pittsburgh. Mrs. Kalsey worked in the clerical field at military camps during World War II.

Surviving are her son, Victor Kalsey Jr. of Friendswood, Texas; her daughter, Debra A. Bender of Rock Hill; two sisters, Nevada Konecko and Delores Francis, both of Pittsburgh; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cauthen Funeral Home.

HARTSVILLE - Mrs. Norma Sink Medlin, 72, of Hartsville, formerly of Rock Hill, died Saturday, June 26, 1999.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church in Hartsville. Burial will be 3:30 p.m. today at Forest Hills Cemetery in Rock Hill.

A native of Winston-Salem, N.C., Mrs. Medlin was a daughter of the late Harry T. Sink and Lula Mae Brown Sink. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Medlin was retired from Home Federal Savings and Loan, with 23 years service.

Surviving are her husband, Joe Medlin of Hartsville; her son, Joey Medlin of Rock Hill; four sisters, Dot Miller, Joanna Cantrell and Linda Efird, all of Salisbury, N.C., and Nell White of Marion, Va.; and three grandchildren.

Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home is in charge.

Jerry Propst

ROCK HILL - Mr. Jerry Boyd Propst, 47, of 709 S. Cherry Road died Monday, June 28, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The graveside service will be 2 p.m. today Laurelwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Bo Coleman officiating.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Propst was a son of the late Jesse B. Propst and Glenva Beckham Propst. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his son, Brian K. Wheeler of Fort Mill; his half-brother, Kenneth McCurry of Rock Hill; and his half-sister, Janice M. Dominick of Salisbury, N.C.

The family will receive friends after the service.

Greene Funeral Home is in charge.
