YORK - Mr. Jeffrey Dale Lee Sr., 33, of 542 Coulwood Road died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The graveside service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lando Cemetery, with the Rev. Edward C. Tager Sr. officiating.

A native of Chester, Mr. Lee worked at Ambassador Packing Inc. of York and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Frances Dove Lee; his son, Jeffrey D. Lee Jr.; two daughters, April Nicole Lee and Shannon Dale Lee; his mother, Pauline Driggers Lee of Clover; his father, Sparford B. Lee of Newton, N.C.; two sisters, Paulette L. Jackson of Chester and Susan L. Inman of Newton; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Driggers of Chester.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Dorothy Lindsay

FORT MILL- Mrs. Dorothy Lee Spratt Lindsay, 69, of 103 Berry St. died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with the Rev. Carlwell Culp officiating and the Revs. Walter White and Ray Thompson assisting.

Mrs. Lindsay was the daughter of David Calvin Spratt and Willie White Spratt. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she served on the missionary and the hymn choir.

Surviving are her two daughters, Fleda Lindsay Martin of Columbia and Linda Lindsay Robinson of Augusta, Ga.; her brother, David C. Spratt Jr. of Fort Mill; her sister, Sarah S. Dunlap of Fort Mill; five grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Parker Funeral Home is in charge.

Lucille Ludlam

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Lucille Bullard Ludlam, 67, of 2629 Harmony Road, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at the Palmetto Baptist Medical Hospital in Easley.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. today at Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill Chapel, with the Revs. Roland Dry and Roger Plemmons officiating. A graveside service will be 4 p.m. today at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols.

A native of Horry County, Mrs. Ludlam was a daughter of the late Wessie Bullard and Viola Bullard. She was retired from Celanese and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She was an American Red Cross volunteer and was active in gospel music for the last 15 years.

Surviving are her husband, Stanley David Ludlam; her son, Samuel "Sammy" Ludlam of Rock Hill; three daughters, Judy Nunn, Doris Chitwood and Luci Reeves, all of Rock Hill; her sister, Peggy Neal of Rock Hill; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at her son's home, 2667 Harmony Road.

Cauthen Funeral Home is in charge.

John McCaskill

ROCK HILL- Mr. John Andrew McCaskill, 23, of Rock Hill, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

The service will be 3 p.m. today at McEwen Funeral Home, Charlotte Chapel, in Charlotte.

Surviving are his wife, Amy McCaskill of Rock Hill; his parents, Charles Edward McCaskill and Cookie Olson; his brother Charles E. McCaskill Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; his stepbrother, Richard Driftnyer of Pompano Beach, Fla.; his stepsister, Lisa Feldman of Harrisburg, N.C.; and his grandmother, Pauline Gailiusis of Tucson, Ariz.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Mozelle McCraw

CHESTER - Mrs. Mozelle Gardner McCraw, 97, of 144 Woodland Ave. died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, at Westminster Health Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Barron Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Clay Waldrip officiating. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.

A native of Cleveland County, N.C., Mrs. McCraw was a daughter of the late Virgil Anderson Gardner and Florence Nolan Gardner. She was a homemaker and was a graduate of Gardner Webb College. She was a member of the Chester First Baptist Church and was a former member of the Arts and Science club, the Garden Club, the U.D.C. and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Mrs. McCraw was the widow of Claude B. McCraw.

Surviving is her brother, Carl W. Gardner of Gainesville, Va.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.

Michael Whitworth

CLOVER - Mr. Michael Linn Whitworth, 22, of 3287 Henry Knob Rd. died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, in Santee Cooper.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the M.L. Ford Sons Funeral Home chapel, with the Revs. Jamie Ellis and Jerry Bryant officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

A native of York County, Mr. Whitworth worked at Bridgestone Firestone in Gastonia, N.C. He was a 1996 graduate of Clover High School.

Surviving are his parents, William Andrew Whitworth and Barbara Chariker Whitworth; and his brother Andrew Whitworth of Clover.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at M.L. Ford Sons Funeral Home.

Jimmy Beck

CHARLOTTE - Mr. James Benjamin "Jimmy" Beck, 58, of Charlotte died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at Presbyterian Hospital.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Roy Norman Beck Jr. officiating.

A native of Charlotte, Mr. Beck was the son of the late Roy Norman and Maybelle Patterson Beck. He was a graduate of Harding High School and employed by Jones Electric Co.

Surviving are his daughter, Virginia Michelle Beck of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sons, James Robert and Roy Martin Beck, both of Charlotte; his brother, the Rev. Roy Norman Beck Jr. of Indian Trail, N.C.; two sisters, Brenda G. Beck and Nora Lyneer Beck Stroupe, both of Rock Hill; and two grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at McEwen Funeral Service, Charlotte chapel and at the residence following the service Thursday.

Charles Connolly

FORT MILL - Mr. Charles "Chuck" Francis Connolly, 53, of Fort Mill died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, with Father John Giuliani officiating.

A native of Mt. Vernon, N.Y., Mr. Connolly was the son of Charles B. Connolly and the late Dorothy Forkell Connolly. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was employed with Ventura Foods of Charlotte.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy Connolly of Fort Mill; his son Charles Edward Connolly of Columbia; two daughters, Katherine Dorothy Connolly and Suzanne Carol Connolly, both of Columbia; his father, Charles B. Connolly of Summerville, S.C.; three brothers, Thomas J. Connolly of McMinnville, Tenn., and Peter M. Connolly and Christopher J. Connolly, both of Charleston; and his grandmother, Willimina Connolly of Liberty, N.Y.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Wolfe Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Margaret Hinson

SHARON - Ms. Margaret Vera Alexander Hope Hinson, 81, of 1309 S.C. 97 died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1999 at her home.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Bullock Creek Presbyterian Church in Sharon, with the Rev. Gene Thompson officiating, and the Rev. George Bush assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of York County, Ms. Hinson was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lena Alexander. She was retired from Rock Hill Printing Finishing and attended Bullock Creek Presbyterian Church.

She was the widow of Rufus Hope and Grover Hinson.

Surviving are three sons, David Hope of Union, Bob Hope of Sharon and Tommy Hope of Hickory Grove; four daughters, Rose Maddy of Dallas, N.C., and Faye Scoggins, Jean Horton and Linda Rochester, all of Sharon; two brothers, Fred Alexander of Clover and Linsey Alexander of Kings Mountain, N.C.; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Bullock Creek Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 7386 Lockhart Road, Sharon, SC 29742; or Hickory Grove Life Saving Squad, P.O. Box 224, Hickory Grove, SC 29717.

Tommie Knight Sr.

LANCASTER - Mr. Tommie Cleveland "Tuck" Knight Sr., 76, of 2423 Camp Creek Road died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Camp Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Cecil Johnson officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow at the church cemetery.

A native of Morristown, N.C., Mr. Knight was the son of the late Thomas Knight and Maude Knight. He was a retired self-employed masonry contractor, a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church and a member of the Camp Creek Masonic Lodge No. 317 and Eastern Star No. 285, where he served as past patron. He was a Shriner and member of the Hejaz Shrine Temple and served in the armed forces during World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Sarah Steele Knight; three sons, Tommie Knight Jr. and David "Tink" Knight, both of Lancaster, and Todd Knight of Charleston; two daughters, Jo Ann Hinson of Lincolnton, N.C., and Becky Knight of Lancaster; two sisters, Lennie Snyder of Columbus, Ga., and Mary Helms of Weatherford, Texas; and eight grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Hospitality House of Charlotte, 1412 Scott Ave., Charlotte, NC 28203.

Losina Walker

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Losina Estlack Saye Walker, 93, of 1330 India Hook Road died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at Westminster Towers Center.

A graveside service will be 4 p.m. today at Bullock Creek Presbyterian Church cemetery in Sharon with the Rev. Meredith Cavin officiating and Mr. Charles Bradford assisting.

A native of Kirksville, Mo., Mrs. Walker was the daughter of Marshall Marsh Estlack and Katherine Schneider Estlack. She was a graduate of Phillips University, received her masters of education and music from the Univer-sity of Oklahoma and received her associate degree in music at the University of South Carolina. She taught for 30 years. She was the choir director and the lead soloist at First Pres-byterian Church in Rock Hill.

Mrs. Walker was the widow of John Rainey Saye and Leland Walker.

Surviving are her son, Joseph Marshall Saye of St. Louis, Mo.; her daughter, Mary Katherine Stephens of Burneyville, Okla.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of Joseph H. Rainey in Sharon.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 400 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29206.

Harry Metts

ROCK HILL - Mr. Harry Omerle Metts, 90, of 1249 Christopher Circle died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg.

A native of Pomoria, Mr. Metts was a son of the late J. Frank Metts and Belle Aull Metts. He retired from Southern Railroad as a bridge and builder supervisor and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Mr. Metts was the widower of Myrtle Foster Metts.

Surviving are his daughter, Shirley Ayers of Rock Hill; two sisters, Ollie M. Gunter of Spartanburg and Dorothy M. Kelly of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Bass Funeral Home.
