Charles Cameron Sr.

MYRTLE BEACH - Mr. Charles David Cameron Sr., 71, of Cove Drive died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Quay Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Ocean Woods Cemetery.

A native of St. Louis, Mr. Cameron was a son of the late Col. William Ennis Cameron and Guy Skipper Cameron. He founded Cameron Insurance Agency, where he was a Master Pilot with Pilot Life Insurance Company. He also was an owner of the Surfwood and Thunderbird Motels, president of the Inlet Development Corporation and the the owner of several auto-service centers. He was a founding director and past chairman of Anchor Bank and past president of the Dunes Golf and Beach Club. He was an avid hunter and sports fisherman.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Alice Cameron; three sons, Charles Donald Cameron Jr. of Conway, William Ennis Cameron III of Rock Hill and John Norton McMillan of Florence; four daughters, Candice Cameron Bailey of Rock Hill, Virginia Guy Cameron of Myrtle Beach, Skipper Cameron Rice of Greenwood and Alice "Taffy" J. Cameron of the home; his brother, William Ennis Cameron Jr. of Folly Beach; his sister, Carol Simpson of Chapin; and 12 grandchildren.

Laura Jacobs

WINNSBORO - Mrs. Laura Y. Jacobs, 75, of 61 Kabbad Road died Friday, Oct. 15, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Second Baptist Church, with the Revs. Todd Smith and Steve Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

A native of Chester County, Mrs. Jacobs was the daughter of the late William Alexander Yarborough and Annie Bell Yarborough. She was retired from Springs Industries and was a member of First Baptist Church. She attended the Chester County schools.

Surviving are five daughters, Shirley Keener Benfield of Rock Hill, Patsy Keener Carnes of Great Falls, Vickie Keener Kelly of Winnsboro, Lori Horne Miller of Carlisle and Wendy Horne Lawson of Chester; three sisters, Louise Y. Carpenter of Dallas, Iva Lee Laws of Chester and Sara Rape of Great Falls; three brothers, William Yarborough of Myrtle Beach, Oneal Yarborough of Chester and Thomas Roof of Chester; six grandchildren; and 13 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.

Mary Harden

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Mrs. Mary E. Harden, 76, formerly of Rock Hill, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Unity Cemetery in Fort Mill, with the Revs. James Wood and Larry Queen officiating.

A native of Whitmire, Mrs. Harden was a daughter of the late Lee Queen and Inez Adams Queen. She was a retired sales clerk at Belk in Charlotte and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her son, Gary Lee Harden of Jacksonville; two daughters, Carolyn Brown of Rock Hill and Brenda Privette of Lancaster; her sister, Louise Wallace of Rock Hill; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends after a graveside service. Greene Funeral Home is in charge.

Bessie Lee

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Bessie Lee, 92, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Fleet Kirkpatrick officiating.

Mrs. Lee was a member of Johnson Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are three nephews, Ronnie Evans of Rock Hill, Crawford Evans of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., and Richard Evans of Charlotte; and her niece, Mildred Smith of York.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 tonight at the home of Ronnie Evans. McEwen Funeral Services, Derita Chapel is in charge.

Marguerite Moss

YORK - Marguerite Davis Moss, 88, of Lincoln Road died Friday, Oct. 15, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Thomas McPhail officiating. Burial will follow at Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church cemetery.

A native of Stillwater, N.J., Mrs. Moss was the daughter of John R. Davis and Elizabeth Hooey Davis. She was the widow of Walter Moss. She was a homemaker and was a member of Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her son, Ted Moss of York; her daughter, Elizabeth Moss Kinney of Spring Hill, Fla.; her granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Bratton Funeral Home from 7 to 9 tonight.

Elizabeth Fleming

ROCK HILL- Ms. Elizabeth Poteat Fleming, 61, of 560 Rockwell Circle died Friday, Oct. 15, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cauthen Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.

Ms. Fleming was a daughter of the late Joseph Howard and Pauline Telfair Williams Poteat. A native of Virginia, Ms. Fleming was retired from Citizens Federal in Miami and was a former Sunday school teacher at Concordia Lutheran Church in Miami.

Surviving are her son, Bohn Bradford Fleming of Rock Hill; her daughter, Denise Fleming Ratcliffe of Rock Hill; her brother, Joseph H. Poteat Jr. of Rock hill; her sister, Louise Poteat Price of Rock Hill; her caregiver and companion, John Tierney; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her daughter, Denise Ratcliffe, 1817 Day Lily Lane, Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 116 John St., Room 417, New York, NY, 10038.

Janie Nunnery

EDGEMOOR - Mrs. Janie Er-nandez Nunnery, 82, of 4189 Edgeland Road died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Lando Baptist Church, with the Revs. Richard Harrison and Sam Warwick officiating.

Mrs. Nunnery was the daughter of the late Robert B. and Sarah Dove Ernandez.

Mrs. Nunnery was a member of the Lando Baptist Church and was a retiree of the Manetta Mills in Lando, where she worked as a weaver.

Surviving are her husband, Jimmie G. Nunnery; and her daughter, Susan Nunnery of Edgemoor.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Joanella Roach

EDGEMOOR - Joanella Rose Roach, the infant daughter of Mechelle Dozier and Robert N. Roach Jr., died Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The graveside service will be

3 p.m. Monday at Grandview Memorial Park, with the Rev. James L. Dozier officiating.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her brother, Jeffrey Allen Gray of Rock Hill; her maternal grandmother, Gladys Pendergrass of Mem-phis, Tenn.; and her paternal grandfather, Robert N. Roach of Edgemoor.

The family will receive friends at 3930 Berryhill Road, Edgemoor.

Azzielee Adams

CLOVER - Mrs. Azzielee Wilson Adams, 94, of 107 Adams St. died Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood.

The funeral will be noon Tuesday at Clover Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Charles L. White Jr. officiating. Burial will be at St. James United Methodist Church cemetery.

A York County native, Mrs. Adams was the daughter of the late Calvin and Vennie Crawford Wilson.

She was a member of Clover Chapel United Methodist Church and of the Clover Chapel Church Aid society. She also was president of the United Methodist Women and was a Royal Degree member of the Order of Tent "Buds of Clover No. 209."

She was the widow of Samuel Adams Sr.

Surviving are two sons, Samuel J. Adams Jr. of Salisbury, N.C., and Charles F. Adams of Spartanburg; two daughters, Betty Lee Coleman of Kansas City, Mo., and the Rev. Kay Adams Best of Lugoff; two sisters, Eliza Dye of Clover and Lillie Mae Gregory of Los Angeles;

24 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 7 to 8 tonight at Wright Funeral Home in York and at other times at the home.

Ann Allen

COLUMBIA - Mrs. Ann Steedly Allen, 69, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. today at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. Visitation will follow the service. Interment in Elmwood Memorial Gardens will be private.

A native of Columbia, Mrs. Allen was a daughter of the late Guy C. and Bondell Smith Steedly. She was a member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her son, Guy Andrew Allen of Rock Hill; her daughter, Cindy Allen of Rock Hill; two sisters, Bobbie S. Wright of Columbia and June S. Solomon of Wilmington, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Dunbar Funereal Home, Gervais Street Chapel, is in charge.

Nancy Anderson

LANCASTER - Mrs. Nancy L. Wood Anderson, 63, of Lancaster died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999, in White Oak Manor.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Ernest T. Thompson III officiating.

A native of Barrington, N.J., Mrs. Anderson was a daughter of the late Clifford Henry and Rebecca Elizabeth Skeding Wood.

Mrs. Anderson was a retired realtor. She owned Town and Country Realty and was a member of the Lancaster County Board of Realtors. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her husband, Norman Anderson Sr. of Lancaster; two sons, Norman Anderson Jr. and Richard Allen Anderson, both of Lancaster; her daughter, Rebecca Lee Anderson of Lancaster; her sister, Peggy E. Wood of Lancaster; her brother, Charles H. Wood of Medford, N.J.; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Mahaffey Funeral Home and other times at the home of Peggy Wood.

Bessie Lee

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Bessie Evans Lee, 92, of 2310 Ablewood Road died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Roger Gauvin

LANCASTER - Mr. Roger Philip Gauvin, 70, of 1350 Royida Drive, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine Catholic Church, with the Father Thomas Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Manville, R.I.

A native of Harrisville, R.I., Mr. Gauvin was a son of the late Laurent and Rose Bergeron Gauvin.

He graduated from of the University of Florida with a degree in environmental engineering. He was a retiree of the Evasco Services in New York City, where he worked as an engineer. He was a member of Hospice and Alzheimer's groups and St. Catherine Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, Jackie Faulkenberry Gauvin, three brothers, Norbert Gauvin of Portsmouth, N.H., Ronald Gauvin of Hooksett, N.H., and Fernand Gauvin of Brandy Wine, Md.

The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home.
