Ann Arledge

COLUMBIA - Mrs. Ann Kee Arledge, 67, of 8565 Old Percival Road, formerly of Rock Hill, died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, at Palmetto Baptist Medical Center.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Greene Funeral Home in Rock Hill, with the Rev. David Kemp officiating. Burial will be private.

A native of Monroe, N.C., Mrs. Arledge was a daughter of the late Lonnie E. Key and Bessie Mae McCraven Key. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of God faith.

Surviving are her son, John E. Morris of Elgin; two daughters, Debra M. Gaston of Fort Mill and Glenda M. James of Charlotte; three brothers, John E. Kee of San Antonio, Texas, W.R. Kee of Longmont, Colo., and Richard J. Kee of Englewood, Ohio; her sister, Ruth K. Underwood of Rock Hill; eight grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends after the service. The family will be at the home of her sister, Ruth Underwood, 1154 Longview Road, Rock Hill.

Mary Demby

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mary Lucille Rainey Demby, 77, of 230 Peachtree Road died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Tommy Huddleston officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Demby was a daughter of the late James N. Rainey and Lula Brown Rainey. She was the widow of Grady Demby Sr. Mrs. Demby was retired from Cone Mills in Pineville, N.C., and was of the Protestant faith.

Surviving are her son, Grady Demby Jr. of Rock Hill; three daughters, Dianne D. Spears of Rock Hill, and Phyllis Squibb and Monica Demby, both of Pasadena, Texas; three sisters, Glendora Slack, Helen Ledbetter and Naomi Potts, all of Rock Hill; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Mary Hall

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mary "Mae" Pearl Ross Hall of 1149 Castle St. died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Boyd Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Thomas Barber officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.

A native of York County, Mrs. Hall was a retired employee of Springs Industries. She was a member of Boyd Hill Baptist Church and attended Emmett Scott High School.

Surviving are two daughters, Shereeta Hall and Deborah Ross, both of Rock Hill; her son, Darrell Ross Sr. of Rock Hill; her brother, Melvin Ross of Rock Hill; two sisters, Hattie R. Parker and Patty R. Grant, both of Rock Hill; three stepdaughters, Rose Hall, Rella "Sis" Hall and Libby Hall, all of Denver; two stepsons, Charles Hall of Columbia and Ray Hall of Denver; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday at Boyd Hill Baptist Church and at other times at the home and at 1146 Hoyle St..

The body will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. Saturday. Robinson Funeral Home is in charge.

Mozelle Hyman

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mozelle Peterson Hyman, 87, of 868 Arlington Ave. died Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999, at Beverly Health Care.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Big Calvary Baptist Church in Lando, with the Rev. Rodney Adams officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Chester County, Mrs. Hyman was a daughter of the late John Wade Peterson and Rosa Goodwin Peterson. She was the widow of John Henry Hyman. She was a former member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and later joined Big Calvary Baptist Church, where she served as second choir leader, and a member of the Senior Missionary Board, the Willing Workers, the AP Society Lodge No. 123 and the Rock Hill Prayer Band No. 1. She also was a member of the Beverly Healthcare Choir.

Surviving are two sons, James Franklin Hyman of Capitol Heights, Md.; and Willie Ezell Hyman of Catawba; her daughter, Josie McCullough Hall of the home; her adopted son, LeRoy Dye of Rock Hill; two brothers, Tillman Gill and James Gill, both of Philadelphia; three sisters, Lizzie Richardson and Melinda Drakeford, both of Charlotte, and Maggie McIntosh of Detroit; 26 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Big Calvary Baptist Church and at other times at home.

The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Parker Funeral Home is in charge.

Nancy Morrison

HEATH SPRINGS - Mrs. Nancy Gladys Carnes Morrison, 81, of Heath Springs Residential Care died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dale Roach officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

A native of Camden, Mrs. Morrison was a daughter of the late William Lester Carnes and Lillie Mae Twitty Carnes. Mrs. Morrison was a widow of Leroy Mackey and Hermon Morrison. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was a retired licensed practical nurse at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.

Surviving are her son, Crawford Lee Mackey of Waldrop, Md.; her sister, Katherine Smith of Rockingham, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times of Morrison Thompson, 2877 Woodland Way, Lancaster.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church building fund, 1152 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Mark Robertson

LANCASTER - Mr. Mark Timothy Robertson, 42, of 1274 Memorial Park died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Cauthen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. William Poore officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

A native of Lancaster, Mr. Robertson was a son of Bettie Adams Robertson of Lancaster and the late Raeford Grady Robertson. He was a member of Springdell Baptist Church and was a welder.

Surviving in addition to his mother are three brothers, Raeford Eric Robertson of Lancaster, Gary Lynn Robertson of Rock Hill and Daniel Martin Robertson of Heath Springs.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at home.

Max Larry Allman

LANCASTER - Mr. Max Larry Allman, 64, of 1671 University Park Drive died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, at home.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hartley Funeral Home, with the Rev. N.J. Neely officiating.

A native of Churubusco, Ind., Mr. Allman was a son of Ellen Lucille Kesling Allman of Churubusco and the late F. Ray Allman. Mr. Allman was a retired electrician for Springs Industries Lancaster Plant and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Sue W. Allman; his son, Scott Larry Allman of Lancaster; two stepsons, David Catoe of Fort Lawn and Donald Catoe of Greenville, Tenn.; his brother, Robert Allman of Churubusco; his sister, Janet Chojnowski of Churubusco; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Hartley Funeral Home in Lancaster.

Gaye Hageman

CHESTER - Miss Gaye Melody Hageman, 29, of 1417 Minter Road died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, at home.

A private memorial has been held.

A native of Mecklenburg County, Miss Hageman was a daughter of Mel Hageman of Rock Hill and the late Marylou Sabo Hageman. She was was employed at Ebenezer Animal Clinic in Rock Hill.

Surviving in addition to her father are two brothers, Don Hageman of York and Alan Hageman of Denver; and her sister, Karen Hageman of Chester.

Wright's Home for Funerals was in charge.

Selanton Hancock

FORT LAWN - Mr. Selanton Lydell Hancock, 21, of 5670 Hightower Road died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Fort Lawn, with the Rev. Richard Howard officiating. Burial will be at Fort Lawn Cemetery.

A native of Lancaster County, Mr. Hancock was a son of the Glenell Hancock of Kershaw and Brenda Cloud Hancock of Fort Lawn. He was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church. He was the sponsor of the Family Crusade Choir at Mount Pilgrim. He attended the public schools of Lancaster County.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his daughter, Lakira Evans of the home; his brother, Mario J. Cloud of Fort Lawn; two sisters, Glennika Hancock and Lasharilla Hancock, both of Fort Lawn; his maternal grandfather, Fred Cloud of Fort Lawn; and his paternal grandparents, Audrey Artis and Percy Artis of Fort Lawn.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church and at other times at the home.

The body may be viewed from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester.

The body will be placed in the church at 1:15 p.m. Sunday.

LANCASTER - A memorial service for Teddy Miles Johnson IV will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hopewell United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Hopper officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Miles is the son of Teddy Miles Johnson III and Ashley Shelton Johnson.

The family will receive friends after the service at their home, 4457 Rowell Road, Lancaster.

Memorials may be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church, 3734 Heyward Hough Road.

Rebecca Long

CLOVER - Mrs. Rebecca "Becky" Sue Sams Long, 63, of 3180 Woodland Hills Drive died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at McLean Funeral Home in Gastonia, N.C., with the Rev. Roy Tucker officiating. Burial will be at Hollywood Cemetery.

A native of Gastonia, Mrs. Long was a daughter of the late Jancer H. Sams and Laura Treadway Sams. A homemaker, she attended Hickory Grove Church of God in Charlotte.

Surviving are her husband, John O. Long; three daughters, Terri Dees of Stanley, N.C., Melanie Manera of York and Michelle Long of Clover; two brothers, Ralph Sams and Howard Sams, both of Clover; four sisters, Marie Wilson of Summerville, Kathryn Zeller of Lawrence, Kansas, and Ruby Braswell and Joy Childers, both of Gastonia; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Community Care, 325 Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29732.
