WAGRAM, N.C. - Mr. Hyder Massey Sr., 84, of 24020 Nazareth Church Road died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Unionville Baptist Church in Laurinburg, N.C., with the Rev. Alford Dudley officiating. Burial will be at Matthew Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Sarah F. Massey; four sons, Samuel Massey, James Lewis Massey, Hyder Massey Jr. and Harvey Massey, all of Wa-gram; three brothers, Lonnie Ewing of Fayetteville, N.C., Solomon Ewing of Ellerbee, N.C., and Charlie Ewing of New York; two sisters, Mary E. Massey of Edgemoor and Perditha Fowler of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Morris Funeral Home in Laurinburg.

Wanda McInvaille

KERSHAW - Mrs. Wanda Darlene Taylor McInvaille, 31, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.

A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Kershaw City Cemetery, with the Rev. Richard Boston officiating.

A native of Great Falls, Mrs. McInvaille was a daughter of Jack Taylor of Great Falls and Wanda Wright King of Great Falls. She was employed by IGA of Kershaw and was a member of Great Falls Pente-costal Holiness Church.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Charles McInvaille; two brothers, Mark A. Taylor of Great Falls and Jack S. Taylor of Blackstock; her sister, Geraldine Puckett of Blackstock; and her paternal grandfather, James Edward Taylor.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at home.

Evelyn McWatters

CHESTER - Mrs. Evelyn Jeannett Mixon McWatters, 67, of 967 Craigbow Circle died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, at Chester County Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Westside Baptist Church. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.

A native of Darlington, Mrs. McWatters was a daughter of the late Luther Mixon and Martha James Mixon Baggett. A homemaker, she attended Chester County schools and was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Harvey Lee McWatters; her son, Harvey Wayne McWatters of Chester; her daughter, Phyllis Elaine McWatters of Chester; and her sister, Margaret Williams of Bennettsville.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.

Bessie Miller

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Bessie Miller of 243 Lucky Lane died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at Beverly Healthcare Center.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home, with the Revs. James Thomas Barber and Leroy Cole officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.

A native Lancaster County, she was the widow of Arthur Miller Sr. She attended the Lancaster County public schools. Mrs. Miller attended Mount Prospect Baptist Church.

Surviving is her daughter-in-law and caretaker, Ruth Miller Thompson of Rock Hill.

The body may be viewed from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Robinson Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Albert Rainey

ROCK HILL - Mr. Albert Lewis Rainey, 71, of 160-A Keiger Court died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eastside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Rainey was a son of the late Robert Rainey and Alma Dutton Rainey. He was a member of Oakdale Nazarene Church. He was retired from Springs Industries.

Surviving are his wife, Katie Hudson Rainey; four daughters, Frances R. Mims and Shirley Herring, both of Rock Hill, Joann R. Wells of Catawba and Diane Thrower of York; two step-daughters, Gloria Lathan of Rock Hill and Diane McAteer of Rock Hill; two sisters, Frances Bailey of Rock Hill and Minnie Morris of Edgemoor; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at home.

Paul Rogers

PINEVILLE, N.C. - Mr. Paul James Rogers, 69, of Pineville died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at Mercy Hospital South.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wolfe Funeral, with the Rev. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will be at Pineville City Cemetery.

A native of Union County, he was a son of the late William Clayton and Etta Adams Rogers. Mr. Rogers served in the Air Force and was a retired drywall contractor.

Surviving are his son, Paul J. "Butch" Rogers Jr. of Orange City, Fla.; his brother, E. J. Rogers of Fort Mill; his sister, Bernice Nicholson of Fort Mill; and his grandson.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wolfe Funeral Home.

Christine Truesdale

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Christine Truesdale of 2756 S. Anderson Road died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Zion AME Zion Church in Landsford, with the Revs. Leroy Ellison, Alan L. Stewart and Dr. Marion Crawford officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Truesdale was a daughter of the late Ernest Stinson and Ora Stinson. She attended the Chester County public schools. She was retired from J.P. Stevens Co.

Surviving are four sons, Melvin Truesdale and Willie Truesdale, both of Edgemoor, and Floyd Truesdale and Jacky Truesdale, both of Catawba; six daughters, Anne Mackey and Diane Thompson, both of Rock Hill, Mattie Mackey of Catawba, Catherine Mackey of Charlotte, Jacqueline Truesdale of Chester and Laverne Truesdale of Kershaw; five sisters, Willie M. Cherry, Annie L. Cherry and Arsonia Walker, all of Rock Hill, Essie McBride of Buffalo, N.Y., and Odessa Hunter of Winston-Salem, N.C.; 41 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 10-great-great-grandchildren.

The body may be viewed from 6 to 8 tonight at Robinson Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home of Billy and Mattie Mackey, 2756 S. Anderson Road, Rock Hill.

Minerva Boyd

ANDERSON - Mrs. Minerva Wilson Boyd, 78, formerly of Clover, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at Anderson Area Medical Center.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Crowders Creek ARP Church in Gastonia, N.C., with the Revs. Bud Griffith and Jim McLurkin officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of York County, Mrs. Boyd was a daughter of the late Willis F. Wilson and Georgia Belle Dulin Wilson. She was the widow of Idrell Evans Boyd Jr. She was a Sunday school teacher with Crowders Creek ARP Church for 25 years.

Surviving are her son, Richard Boyd of Anderson; and two sisters, Dorothy Honeycutt of Gastonia and Ruth Currence of Clover.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at M.L. Ford Sons Funeral Home in Clover.

Katherine Brice

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Katherine Hall Kennedy Brice of 238 Brice St. died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church, with the Rev. C.S. Sanders officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Brice attended Flint Hill Baptist Church. She was a 196***0 graduate of Emmett Scott High School. She attended Clinton Junior College.

Surviving are her husband, Willie Brice; two sons, Jerome Kennedy and Dennis Hall, both of Rock Hill; four daughters, Sandra Kennedy of Edgemoor and Denise Wylie, Bernice Hall and Mia Kennedy, all of Rock Hill; her father, James Hall of Spartanburg; her mother, Janie Hall of Rock Hill; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Robinson Funeral Home and at other times at 1022 Hough Circle.

The body will be placed in the church at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Flossie Collins

YORK - Mrs. Flossie McDowell Collins, 89, of 571 Liberty St., formerly of Rock Hill and Conway, died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Conway, with the Rev. Jerry Phillips officiating.

Mrs. Collins was a daughter of the late John McDowell and Molie Parker McDowell. She was the widow of Bartie Chestnut and Rush Collins. A homemaker, she was a member of Park Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son, Jerry Chestnut of Rock Hill; her daughter, Johnie Mae Bellamy of Columbia; her sister, Rubenia Holt of Conway; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home in Conway.

Greene Funeral Home in Rock Hill is in charge of local arrangements.

Winfred Mattox

YORK - Mr. Winfred Randolph Mattox, 82, of 1781 S. Paraham Road died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Cauthen Funeral Home in Rock Hill, with the Rev. Mike Faulkner officiating. Burial will be at Beaver Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Heath Springs.

A native of Heath Springs, Mr. Mattox was a son of the late Henry Mattox and Margaret Mattox. He was the widower of Frances Davidson Mattox. Mr. Mattox was retired from Rock Hill Printing Finishing Co., Wylie Texaco and Winn-Dixie on S.C. 161 in Rock Hill. Mr. Mattox was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his son, Ronnie Bentley of York; three sisters, Elizabeth Van Keuren, Hilda Porter and Nancy Horton, all of Lancaster; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Amy Moore

FORT MILL - Mrs. Amy Patterson Moore, 105, formerly of Harrisburg Road, died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, at Spring Arbor Residential Care in Rock Hill.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. today at Spring Arbor Residential Care, with the Rev. Robert Dunn officiating. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, with the Revs. Randall Odom and Bill Quatrone officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Lancaster County, Mrs. Moore was a daughter of the late Henry Dallas Patterson and Wylie Ross Hall Patterson. She was a former sales associate at Belk and Ivey's department stores in Charlotte. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Grant Moore of Fort Mill; and three sisters, Mary Hannah Crenshaw and and Lois Patterson Hawfield, both of Lancaster, and Lucille Patterson Daumer of Charlotte.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. today at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church building fund, 3000 Marvin Road, Fort Mill, SC 29715.

Ola Moore

INDIAN LAND - Mrs. Ola "Trim" Moore, 88, of Indian Land died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at White Oak Nursing Home in Lancaster.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Belair United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Steve McCormick and Bob Dunn officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late William Pettus and Esther Broome Pettus. She was the widow of Rone Moore. Mrs. Moore and her husband operated Moore's Store and Grill in Indian Land. She was a member of Belair United Methodist Church.

Surviving are three sons, Bill Moore and Barry Moore, both of Lancaster, and Burke Moore of Fort Mill; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wolfe Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Barry and Patsy Moore, 9884 Van Wyck Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
