ROCK HILL - Mrs. Sadie Tate Camp, 90, of 1800 India Hook Road died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at Pied-mont Medical Center.

A graveside service will 3 p.m. Sunday at Grandview Memorial Park, with the Revs. Dr. Tim McClendon and Carol Cannon officiating.

A native of Henrietta, N.C., Mrs. Camp was a daughter of the late Ebenezer Tate and Mary Doaney Tate. She was the widow of William Lester Camp. Mrs. Tate was a charter member of Sylvia Circle Baptist Church and was retired from Arcade Mill.

Surviving are two sons, Billy Camp of Montgomery, Ala., and Danny Camp of Rock Hill; two daughters, Betty C. Rawls and JoAnn Dillingham, both of Rock Hill; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Bass Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Betty Rawls, 614 Neely Road, Rock Hill and JoAnn Dillingham, 1871 Cavendale Drive, Rock Hill.

Traudel Hunter

FORT LAWN - Mrs. Traudel Roth Hunter, 60, of 4653 Mel Nunnery Road died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Integrated Health Services of Charlotte.

The funeral will be 7 tonight at Greene Funeral Home in Rock Hill, with the Rev. Bill Shytle officiating. Burial will be private.

A native of Rodalben, Germany, Mrs. Hunter was a daughter of the late Hans Honreiter and Kati Roth Honreiter. A homemaker, she was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving are her husband, John C. Hunter of Lancaster; two sons, John D. Hunter of Catawba and Gordon Hunter of Fort Lawn; four daughters, Irene Barrone and Ilse Walters, both of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Rita Lombardo of Anacoco, La., and Marika Belk of Fort Lawn; her brother, Max Honreiter of Munich Ger-many; her sister, Vroni Frank of Rodalben; 11 grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends after the service.

Bettie Woods

ROCK HILL - Ms. Bettie Jean Woods of 660 Simpson St. died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at New Mount Olivet AME Zion Church, with the Rev. Sherman McBeth officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.

A native of Fair-field County, Ms. Woods is a daughter the late Carrie Woods. She was in property management and received her license in 1986. She was a member of New Mount Olivet AME Zion Church, where she was a former usher, youth choir member and member of the Missionary Society. She is a 1974 graduate of Rock Hill High School and graduated from York Technical College in 1976.

Surviving are six sisters, Elizabeth Gregg of Baltimore., Mahallie Canty of Landover, Md., Frances Cherry, Louise Jackson and Carrie Foster, all of Rock Hill, and Eileen Woods of Columbia; four brothers, Willie Woods, Edward Woods and Robert Woods Jr., all of Rock Hill, and Robert Woods of Suffolk, Va.; and her special companion, Charles Douglas of Rock Hill.

The body may be viewed from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home.

The body will be placed in the church at noon Monday.

Hattie Wright

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Hattie Mae Sturgis Wright, 81, of 350 Southside Road died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Catawba Baptist Church, with the Rev. Leroy Cox officiating and the Rev. Fred Rudder assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Wright was a daughter of the late Ernest Sturgis and Emma Jones Sturgis. She was a member of Catawba Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and member of the Anna Addison Sunday school class. She was a Training Union teacher and worked in the children's day care. Mrs. Wright retired from McCrorey's 5 & 10 with 30 years service.

Surviving are her husband, James "Jim" O. Wright; two daughters, Ruby G. Collins and Mary Ann Copeland, both of Rock Hill; her granddaughter; and her caregivers, Jeff and Tina Blair of Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her daughter, Ruby Collins, 645 Post Lane, Rock Hill.

Dovie Messer

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. - Mrs. Dovie Sprouse Messer, 83, of White Oak Manor, formerly of Clover, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at Kings Mountain Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church in Clover, with the Rev. Elwood Seamster officiating. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery in Clover.

A native of Wilkensville, Mrs. Messer was a daughter of the late James Daniel Sprouse and Ella Mae Brown Sprouse. She was the widow of Robert B. Messer. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving are four sons, Kenneth Messer and Harvey Messer, both of Clover, Daniel Messer of Beaufort and Roy Messer of Shelby, N.C.; two daughters, Betty Munsey of Clover and Joan McCluney of Gastonia, N.C.; two sisters, Gladys Blackwell of Blacksburg and Lois Martin of Kings Mountain; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at M.L. Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Clover and at other times at the home of her son, Harvey Messer, 1575 Jim McCarter Road, Clover.

Janet Moss

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Janet Ledbetter Moss, 80, of 3464 Penshurst Road died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral was Friday at Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rick Sturgis officiating. Burial was at Grandview Memorial Park.

A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Moss was a daughter of the late John Ledbetter and Caroline Wooten Ledbetter. She was the widow of Ben Moss. She was a member of the Four Square Gospel Church and retired from Springs Industries with 35 years service.

Surviving are three daughters, Patricia D. Moss of Temple, Ga., Barbara M. Finley of Raleigh, N.C., and Sandra M. Ludlam of Rock Hill; her caregiver, Karen Merritt of Fort Mill; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Clyde Munn

YORK - Mrs. Clyde McConnell Munn, 79, of Wright Avenue died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Rose Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. J. Todd Speed officiating.

A native of York County, Mrs. Munn was a daughter of the late William Mason McConnell and Clyde McElroy McConnell. She was the widow of Ezra Munn. A homemaker, she was a member of the Eastern Star York Chapter.

Surviving are two sons, Heathman Munn and Freddie Munn, both of York; four grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the home of Freddie Munn, 208 Education Lane, York.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Faith First Fund, 10 W. Liberty St., York SC 29745.

Rosa Pittman

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Rosa Mae Martin Pittman, 72, of 1136 Evans St. died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Mount Gallant Church of God, with the Rev. Dennis Buchanan officiating. Burial will be at Unity Cemetery.

A native of Ker-shaw County, Mrs. Pittman was a daughter of the late Lee Martin and Alice Jordan Martin. She was the widow of W.B. Pittman. She was retired from Springs Industries, Fort Mill plant, and was a member of Mount Gallant Church of God.

Surviving are six sons, Jerry Pittman of York, Jimmy Pittman, Tommy Pittman and David Pittman, all of Rock Hill, Mark Pittman of Catawba and Homer Jacobs of Atlanta; two daughters, Billie Vogel of Rock Hill and Shirley Moss of Fort Mill; four brothers, Alfred Martin and Ivy E. Martin, both of Columbia, Lee Martin of Rock Hill and Alva Martin of Fort Mill; her sister, Bernice Cline of Columbia; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Community Care, 325 S. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Harriett Whitaker

KERSHAW - Miss Harriett Jane Whitaker, 82, of 403 W. Church St. died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at Kershaw County Medical Center in Camden.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Cauthen Funeral Home, with the Revs. Bryant D. Fersner Jr. and Buford Hayes officiating. Burial will be at Midway Baptist Church cemetery.

A native of Lancaster, Miss Whitaker was a daughter of the late R.E. "Rome" Whitaker and Nancy Flonnie Hunter Whitaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church and retired from Springs Industries after 42 years.

Surviving are her sister, Elsie E. Whitaker of Kershaw; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at home.

Eudora Rhodes

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Eudora Maloney Rhodes, 84, of 1349 Winthrop Drive died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First ARP Church, with the Rev. Dr. Robert J. Robinson officiating. Burial will be at Sharon ARP Church cemetery.

A native of Sharon, Mrs. Rhodes was a daughter of the late James Martin and Juliann Jemima Plexico Maloney. She was a member of and sang in the choir at First ARP Church for 40 years. Mrs. Rhodes was retired from Rock Hill Telephone Co.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas Herman Rhodes; her daughter, Patricia Ann Smith of Rock Hill; her sister, Alene Marett of Rock Hill; three grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 tonight at Bass Funeral Home.

Carl Williams

YORK - Mr. Carl Edward Williams, 71, of 587 Turkey Creek Road died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Sharon Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Mooney officiating and the Rev. Mike Lowery assisting.

A native of Columbus, Miss., Mr. Williams was a son of the late Robert Edward Williams and Lizzie Carroll Williams. Mr. Williams was retired from York Tire Store and Boyd Tire Store. He was a deacon at Sharon Baptist Church and was an Air Force veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Colleen Baumgardner Williams; four sons, Larry Williams and Dennis Williams, both of Rock Hill, Mike Williams of Lake Wylie and Kenneth Williams of McConnells; his daughter, Lisa W. Page of Sharon; four sisters, Opel Brakefield of Virginia, Ruby Hudson of York, Jane Deskins of Kings Mountain, N.C., and Charlotte Hicks of Grover, N.C.; and 11 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Bratton Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Larry Williams, 3209 McConnells Highway.

Martin Denzer

ROCK HILL ­ Mr. Martin Joseph Denzer, 79, of 1920 Ebenezer Road died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Denzer was a U.S. Air Force World War II veteran and was a retired quality-control engineer with the National Aeronautical and Space Administration in Cape Canaveral, Fla. He was a worker and and benefactor of St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., the Florida Boys' Ranch and the National Audubon Society. Mr. Denzer helped establish Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Merritt Island, Fla., and Our Saviour's Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach, Fla.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia "Jenny" M. Denzer; five daughters, Kathy Cook of Oak Hill, Fla., Dorothy Berry of Rock Hill, Joan Schmitt of Blue Ridge, Ga., Patricia Ann Denzer Tibbetts of High Point, N.C., and Mary Rhodes of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; his sister, Eileen Bennett of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Memorial Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Eula Graham

FORK - Mrs. Eula Grice Graham, 84, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at St. Eugene Medical Center in Dillon.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today in the Meares Funeral Home chapel in Mullins, with the Rev. David Best officiating. Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery in Fork.

A native of Dillon County, Mrs. Graham was a daughter of the late Henry Grice and Fannie Grice. She was a homemaker and was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Graham was the widow of Harry Graham Sr.

Surviving are her son, George Graham of Fork; three daughters, Wilma Ayers of Rock Hill, Lois Edwards of Elizabeth Town, Ill., and Doris Cook of Floydale; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandchild.

Betty Gregory

GREAT FALLS - Mrs. Betty McCall Gregory, 70, of Mitford Highway 21 died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at her home.

The graveside funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Whitmire Cemetery, Whitmire, with the Rev. Tony Medlin officiating.

A native of Whitmire, Mrs. Gregory was a daughter of the late W.H. McCall Sr. and Lois Propes McCall. She was the widow of Ralph E. Gregory Sr.

Mrs. Gregory was a member of Mount Dearborn United Methodist Church, where she was in the choir. She was a homemaker and was a graduate of Whitmire High School.

Surviving are her son, Ralph E. "Eddie" Gregory Jr. of Great Falls; two daughters, Melinda G. Hewett of Rock Hill and Terrie G. Lockey of Cheraw; her brother, W.H. "Bill" McCall of Union; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.
