William Clinton Jr.

COLUMBIA - Mr. William B. Clinton Jr., 73, of Columbia died Monday, March 6, 2000.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Columbia. Entombment will be at Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Clinton was a son of the late William B. Clinton Sr. and Alma C. MacKey Ratteree. He was the widower of Henrietta Johnson Clinton. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. A World War II Navy veteran, he was retired from Southern Bell Telephone Co. He was a member of the Clemson Alumni-Mechanical Engineer.

Surviving are his daughter, Jean Clinton of Wilmington, N.C.; his son, Bill Clinton of Clemmons, N.C.; three sisters, Lanette Nason of Rock Hill, Irene Turner of Edgemoor and Barbara Baco of Spartanburg; and three grandchildren.

Caughman-Harman Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge.

Alfonzo Heath

FORT LAWN - Mr. Alfonzo Heath, 44, of 5958 Hightower Road died Friday, March 3, 2000, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Union Ezell AME Zion Church, with the Rev. William N. Long officiating and the Rev. Daryl Stinson assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Born in Chester County, Mr. Heath was a son of Max Heath and Jesse Anderson Heath of Fort Lawn. He was a member of the Union Ezell AME Zion Church, attended Great Falls High School and was a former employee of the S.C. State Fair in Columbia.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are four sisters, Shirley Judge, Myrtle Heath, Linda Howze and Mary Artis, all of Fort Lawn; and his brother, Calvin Heath of Lancaster.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Union Ezell AME Zion Church.

The body may be viewed from 2 to 6 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester.

The body will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Ruth Hinson

KERSHAW - Mrs. Ruth Hammond Hinson, 81, of 8869 Flat Creek Road died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at Kershaw County Hospital in Camden.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Midway Baptist Church, with the Revs. Randall Runion and Mike Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in Lancaster County, Mrs. Hinson was a daughter of the late Ernest Hammond and Hessie Hammond. She was married to the late Ira Hinson. Mrs. Hinson was a homemaker, was a member of Midway Baptist Church, where she was active in the WMU and Young At Heart, and was a member of Kershaw Senior Citizens.

Surviving are her son, Wayne Hinson of Kershaw; two daughters, Kathy Phillips of Lancaster and Gail Broome of Kershaw; two brothers, Ferry Hammond of Huntsville, Ala., and Gilbert Hammond of Charlotte; her sister, Mildred Truesdale of Heath Springs; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster; and at other times at the home of Gail Broome, 8861 Flat Creek Road, Kershaw. Memorials may be made to the Young At Heart Fund, Midway Baptist Church, 7864 Old Jefferson Highway, Kershaw, SC 29067.

Ronald Judge

ROCK HILL - Mr. Ronald Lee Judge, 42, of 454 Dave Lyle Blvd. died Friday, March 3, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Mount Zion AME Zion Church, with the Rev. Alan L. Stewart officiating and the Revs. Dr. Marion Crawford and Jerolene Pitts assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mr. Judge attended Lewisville High School.

Surviving are his father, Willie Marion Judge of Edgemoor; two brothers, George William Judge of Fort Lawn and Calvin Eugene Judge of Rock Hill; and three sisters, Janie Marion Judge, Sadie Mae Judge and Alberta Judge, all of Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 tonight at Parker Funeral Home and at other times at 960 Eastwood Drive.

Francenia Keistler

GREAT FALLS - Mrs. Francenia Bobo Keistler, 91, of 14964 Highway 200 died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lan-caster.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Dearborn United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tony Medlin officiating. Burial will be at Mount Zion Baptist Church cemetery.

A native of Spartanburg, Mrs. Keistler was a daughter of the late Minter William Bobo and Anna Melissa Farrow Bobo. She was a member of Mount Dearborn United Methodist Church, where she was president of the United Methodist Women since 1937. A homemaker, she earned her bachelor's degree from Converse College in 1929. She was a charter member of the Great Falls Garden Club and was a member of the Tuesday and Thursday Afternoon Bridge clubs and the Wednesday Night Bridge Club.

Surviving are her son, James W. "Jim" Keistler Jr. of Rock Hill; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.

Vivian Kimbrell

YORK - Mrs. Vivian Hamilton Kimbrell, 100, of 1047 Turkey Ridge Road died Sunday, March 5, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Philadelphia United Methodist Church in York, with the Rev. Lee Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in Rock Hill.

A native of York County, Mrs. Kimbrell was a daughter of the late John Hamilton and Margaret Hamilton. She was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church in Rock Hill. She was the widow of Austin Edward Kimbrell.

Surviving are her son, Jack H. Kimbrell of Rock Hill; two daughters, Kim Kimbrell and Mickie K. Michaels, both of York; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Philadelphia United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2343 South 321, York, SC 29745.

Raymond Lewis Sr.

ROCK HILL - Mr. Raymond Francis Lewis Sr., 64, of 416 Hope St. died Monday, March, 6, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Harvest Ministries Church, with the Rev. Gary Adkins officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

A native of Salisbury, Md., Mr. Lewis was the son of the late Raymond C. Lewis and Phoebe Ketterman Lewis. He was a retired first sergeant in the U.S. Army in which he served for more than 20 years.

Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Carter Lewis; his son, Raymond Francis Lewis Jr. of York; his daughter, Denice L. Lynch of Easley; his sister, Evelyn Lynch of Selbyville, Del.; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the residence at 416 Hope St.

Willia McCarter

WAKE FOREST, N.C. - Miss Willia Mae McCarter, 87, formerly of Clover, died Monday, March 6, 2000, at Raleigh Community Hospital in Raleigh, N.C.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Clover, with the Rev. Rob Patrick officiating. Burial will be at Bethany ARP Church cemetery in Clover.

A native of York County, Miss McCarter was a daughter of the late William S. McCarter and Minnie Holland McCarter. She was employed for many years as a cashier at Clover Drug Store.

Surviving is her niece, Susan Moss of Youngsville, N.C.

The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Thursday at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home.

Maggie McCorkle

LANDO - Mrs. Maggie H. McCorkle, 84, of 3821 Benjamin St. died Monday, March 6, 2000, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Lando Church of God, with the Revs. Charles Lavoy, Edward Harris and Ronnie Green officiating. Burial will be at Lando Cemetery.

A native of Lando, Mrs. McCorkle was a daughter of the late William D. Hefner and Cora Costner Hefner. She was retired from Manetta Mills and had attended the Chester County schools. She was a member of Lando Church of God.

Surviving are three sons, William T. McCorkle of Forest City, N.C., and Reggie R. McCorkle and Earl L. McCorkle, both of Chester; two daughters, Joyce M. Davis of Lando and Judy M. Hill of Chester; her brother, W.D. Hefner of Anderson; four sisters, Eva Aldridge of Rock Hill, Lillie Mae Campbell of Fort Mill, Willie Overby of Lugoff and Louise Harris of Anderson; 26 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.

Walter McCurry

CHESTER - Mr. Walter Glen McCurry, 87, of 2422 McCurry Drive died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at Chester County Hospital.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at Barron Funeral Home, with the Rev. Curtis Marshall officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

A native of Lenoir, N.C., Mr. McCurry was a son of the late Mack McCurry and Laura Ann McIntosh McCurry. He was a retired farmer and a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Poplar, N.C.

Surviving are two daughters, Sarah Ann Mobley and Darlene McWaters, both of Chester; his sister, Jessie Rice of Irwin, Tenn.; his granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Barron Funeral Home.

Ruby Stone

CHESTER - Mrs. Ruby Page Stone, 91, formerly of Woods Ferry Road, died Monday, March 6, 2000, at Chester County Hospital.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Wilksburg Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. James Billings officiating.

A native of Chester, Mrs. Stone was a daughter of the late John R. Page and Lula Waters Foote Page. She was a retired secretary and had attended school in Chester County. She was a member of Wilksburg Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Nathan H. Stone; and her niece, Mary Lou Griffith of Chester.

Lander Tritt

ROCK HILL - Mr. Lander Eugene Tritt, 87, of 122 Shurley St. died Monday, March 6, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Ebenezer Presbyterian ARP Church, with the Rev. Charles L. Mitchell, Dr. R. Boyce Wilson and Dr. John A. Basie officiating. Burial will be at Ebenezer Presbyterian ARP Church cemetery.

A native of Cherryville, N.C., Mr. Tritt was the son of the late Charlie Lee Tritt and Jessie Mae Johnson Tritt. He retired from Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Co. after 29 years of service and also was retired from Ebenezer Presbyterian ARP Church.

A former member of the Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge, Mr. Tritt coached Pony League baseball for the Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Elsie Cabaniss Tritt; two sons, Ronald E. Tritt Sr. and Jerry W. Tritt, both of Rock Hill; four daughters, Patricia T. Ladrie of Tallahassee, Fla., Judy T. Joplin of Fort Mill, Kathy T. Holton of Charlotte and Elizabeth Humphries of Cliffside, N.C.; eight grandchildren; six-great-grandchildren; and his great-great grandson.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Mary Cagle

LANCASTER - Mrs. Mary Louise Snipes "Cootie" Cagle, 58, of 1122 Laurel Ave. died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at White Oak Manor.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at High Point Freewill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Tommy Bryson and the Rev. David Anders officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mrs. Cagle was a daughter of the late James Snipes and Mary Sowell Snipes and the widow of William J. "Bill" Cagle. She was a member of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church, where she was president of Senior Saints. She was the retired owner/operator of Louise's Child Care.

Surviving are three daughters, Sandy Harkey, Pam Cagle and Debra Cage, all of Lancaster; three brothers, Wayne Snipes, Sonny Snipes and Tommy Snipes, all of Lancaster; her sister, Betty Snipes Boykin of Lancaster; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Sandy Harkey, 2258 White Pine Court, Lancaster.
