KERSHAW - Mrs. Maxine Williams Faile, 60, of 2207 Conservancy Road died Thursday June 8, 2000, at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Taxhaw Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will be at Massey Cemetery at Taxhaw.

A native of Kershaw, Mrs. Faile was a daughter of the late Sandy A. Williams and Chloe Herring Williams. She was a nurse at Springs Memorial Hospital and was a member of Taxhaw Baptist Church, where she was a member of the senior adult Sunday school.

Surviving are her husband, Lemuel Finley Faile; her son, Roger F. Faile of Kershaw; her daughter, Sandra Lynn Faile Hunter of Kershaw; five brothers, Edward T. Williams and Hubert S. Williams of West Columbia, Harold L. Williams and R. Frank Williams of Kershaw and Grady M. Williams of Columbia; four sisters, Audrey W. Criminger and Peggy Small of Kershaw, Shirley McKinney of West Columbia and Polly Melton of Cayce; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the Cauthen Funeral Home, Kershaw Chapel, and other times at home.

Danny King

CLOVER - Mr. Danny Wayne King, 54, of 6154 Oakridge Road, died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at home.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Independent Baptist Tabernacle in Dallas, N.C., with the Revs. Ralph Carver and Richard Horney officiating. Burial will be at Mountain View Baptist Church cemetery in Blacksburg.

A native of Gaston County, N.C., Mr. King was a son of the late Albert King and Icie May Harris King. He was a member of Independent Baptist Tabernacle in Dallas.

Surviving are his wife, Lois Ann Jenkins King; two sons, John King and Ben King, both of the home; three brothers, Windell King of Lake Wylie, Walter King of Cross City, Fla., and Johnny King of McConnells; seven sisters, Agnes Mauney, Lorena Benton and Virginia Harris, all of Clover, Jean Dellinger of Belmont, N.C., Joyce O'Shields of Gastonia, N.C., Peggy Amerto of Marion, N.C., and Shirley Clark of Shelby, N.C.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at M.L. Ford Sons Funeral Home.

Charles Ledbetter Sr.

LANCASTER - Mr. Charles H. Ledbetter Sr., 58, of 1654 Winthrop Ave. died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Mahaffey Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, with the Revs. Thomas Brazell and Alan Brazell officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

A native of Lancaster County, Mr. Ledbetter was the son of Janett Quinn Ledbetter of Lancaster and the late Clarence T. Ledbetter Sr. He was a retired Marine having served in Vietnam. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Carol Jenkins Ledbetter; his son, Charles H. Ledbetter Jr. of Montclair, Va.; two daughters, Linda Ledbetter Bateman of Eden, N.C., and Denise Ledbetter Adams of Lancaster; his sister, Sandra L. Boswell of Lancaster; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Mahaffey Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

James Thompson

GREAT FALLS - Mr. James Edward Thompson, 63, of 12 Argonne St. died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Providence Hospital in Columbia.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, with the Revs. Larry Roberts and James Howard Baker officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.

A native of Comar, Ky., Mr. Thompson was a son of the late Robert Thompson and Voda Sutton Thompson. He was former owner and operator of James Auto Service. He was head of the Automotive Training Department at York Technical College and service manager for Weir-Jordan Chevrolet. He was a member of First Baptist Church and attended school in New Tazewell, Tenn. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1961.

Surviving are his wife, Virgie B. Thompson; three sons, James Christopher "Chris" Thompson of Salisbury, N.C., Wayne Edward "Eddie" Thompson of Rock Hill and Robert Howard "Bobby" Thompson of Great Falls; two brothers, William Wayne Thompson of Dayton, Ohio, and Bobby Lynn Thompson of New Tazewell; two sisters, Glessie Reeder of Knoxville, Tenn., and Ruby Faye Tribell of Stevewell, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.

James Wade

LANCASTER - Mr. James Lester Wade, 80, of 1335 Williams Estate Drive died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Springdell Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Bill Poore officiating. Burial will be at Hopewell United Methodist Church cemetery.

A native of Indianapolis, Mr. Wade was the son of the late Clarence Woodson Wade and Mary Emily Metcalf Wade. Mr. Wade was retired from Springs Industries, Leroy Plant. He was a member of Springdell Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Inez Lucas Wade; his son, Ronald Wade of Fort Lawn; two daughters, Joanne Dixon of Cayce and Sylvia Woodhams of Gaston; his sister, Hester Ochs of Hodgenville, Ky.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home.

Harold Bumgardner

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. - Mr. Harold Bumgardner, 58, of 204 Fairdel St. died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at home.

A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Rest Cemetery, with the Rev. Billy Bowen officiating. Burial will be at Mountain Rest Cemetery in Kings Mountain.

A native of Rutherford County, N.C., Mr. Bumgardner was the son of the late Joe and Della Fortenberry Bumgardner. He worked in the textiles industry and as a carpenter.

Surviving are three sons, Joe Bumgardner of Newberry, Tommy Bumgardner of Blacksburg and Mark Bumgardner of Kings Mountain, N.C.; one daughter, Julie Bumgardner of Kings Mountain, N.C.; one brother, Hazel Bumgardner of Forest City, N.C.; one sister, Vangie Bumgardner of Sandy Mush, N.C.; and one grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 952 Wendover Heights Road, Shelby, NC 28150.

Roy Boyd

ROCK HILL - Mr. Roy Stephen Boyd, 80, of 4720 Westwind Drive died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Veterans Hospital in Columbia.

The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Pauls Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Pauls Valley Cemetery, with the Rev. Dexter Lambert officiating.

A memorial will be 7 p.m. Friday, June 16, at Grace Ministries, 1511 Mount Holly Road, with the Revs. Tim Boan and Dexter Lambert officiating.

A native of Pauls Valley, Okla., Mr. Boyd was retired from Baker Oil Tools Inc. in Los Angeles. He was an Army veteran and a member of Grace Ministries Church in Rock Hill.

Surviving are his wife, Geneva Boyd of Rock Hill; three sons, Robert Boyd, Dale Boyd and Barry Boyd; his daughter, Beverly DiFiore of New York; his sister, Alta Roberts of Pauls Valley, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Grace Ministries Building Fund.

Allen Chisholm

ROCK HILL - Mr. Allen Chisholm of 2484 Zinker Road died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Weeping Mary Baptist Church, with Pastor Paul Mosley officiating. Pastor Daniel Chisholm will give the eulogy. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Chisholm was a son of the late Jacob Chisholm and Carrie Sandifer Chisholm. He attended the public schools of York County. He was a member of Weeping Mary Baptist Church, where he was chairman of the deacon board, former Sunday school superintendent and teacher, Bible school teacher, former leader of the gospel choir, a member of the custodial maintenance team and the AP&B Society.

Surviving are his wife, Julia William Chisholm; three daughters, Florence A. Stinson, Mary Chisholm Love, Nancy Chisholm Love, all of Rock Hill; eight brothers, Jacob Chisholm, Abraham Chisholm, Howard Chisholm, Walter Chisholm, and Pastor Daniel Chisholm, all of Rock Hill, Joseph Chisholm of Brooklyn, N.Y., and James Chisholm and John C. Chisholm, both of Washington; his sister, Mary Ann Young of Silver Springs, Md.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The body may be viewed from 5 to 7 tonight at Robinson Funeral Home.

Eva Fisher

SHARON - Mrs. Eva Kinlaw Chason Fisher, 97, of 3615 Sherer Road died Friday, June 9, 2000, at home.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Sharon Baptist Church, with the Revs. James Mooney and Meredith Cavin officiating. Burial will be at Sharon ARP Church cemetery.

A native of White Oak, N.C., Mrs. Fisher was a daughter of the late John A. Kinlaw and Cora Tatum Kinlaw. She was the widow of George T. Chason and Alton Fisher. She was a homemaker and a member of Sharon Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son, John Irvin Chason of Sharon; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at Bratton Funeral Home in York.

Eugene Glenn

ORLANDO, Fla. - Mr. Eugene V. Glenn of Orlando, formerly of Chester, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at Orlando Regional Hospital.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Malone Memorial Church of God in Christ. Burial will be in Orlando.

A native of Florida, Mr. Glenn was a son of Elizabeth Brice Glenn of Orlando and the late Eugene Glenn. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He attended the public schools of Sebring, Fla. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Beatrice McRae Glenn; two sons, Derrick Glenn and Derrice Glen, both of the home; his daughter, Boneke Glenn of the home; his brother, Lindsey Glenn of Sebring, Fla.; and three sisters, Bobbie Jones of Hungry, and Isabell Davis and Pernell Goodman, both of Brandon, Fla.

King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester is in charge of local arrangements.

Alton Godoy

GASTONIA, N.C. - Mrs. Alton Bumgardner Godoy, 81, of 1413 Fern Forest Drive died Friday, June 9, 2000, at home.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church, with the Revs. Leonard L. Bumgardner Jr. and David N. Morris officiating. Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park.

A native of Gaston County, N.C., Mrs. Godoy was retired from Southern Bell. She was a member of Armstrong Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder and Sunday school teacher. She also was active in the Gaston County Home Demonstration. She was the widow of Leonard Lee Bumgardner.

Surviving are her husband, Manuel Godoy; two sons, the Rev. Leonard L. Bumgardner of Cherryville, N.C. and the Rev. James H. Bumgardner of Laurinburg, N.C.; two daughters, Elizabeth Cunningham of Gastonia and Margaret Packard of Belmont, N.C.; two stepsons, Glenn Godoy of Houston and John Godoy of San Antonio; three stepdaughters, Sylvia Ayers of Rock Hill, Sandra Boylan of Bonne Terre, Mo., and Stephanie Jaramillo of San Antonio; her brother, the Rev. David N. Morris of McAdenville, N.C.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at McLean Funeral Directors in Gastonia.

Nancy Ewing Huffstetler

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Nancy Ewing Huffstetler, 63, of 1556 W. Lakewood Drive died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Forest Hills Cemetery, with the Rev. Mike Wooten officiating.

A native of Chester, Mrs. Huffstetler was a daughter of the late Joe Lee Wingate and Hattie Mae Dorster Wingate. She was a homemaker and was of the Church of God faith.

Surviving are her husband, Earl Huffstetler; four sons, Earl S. "Pete" Huffstetler, Luther M. Huffstetler and Ray Huffstetler, all of Rock Hill, and Mark D. Huffstetler of Catawba; her daughter, Diane H. Belcher of Rock Hill; her brother, Donnie Wingate of Greenville; two sisters, Frances Martin of York and Martha Kay Grahame of Piedmont; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home.

JAMAICA, N.Y. - Ms. Adrianne Kneece died Monday, June 5, 2000.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Unity Cemetery in Fort Mill, with the Rev. Ray Thompson officiating.

A native of Jamaica, Ms. Kneece was a daughter of Eleanor Miller and Ancil Kneece Sr.

She was a member of James Chapel Baptist Church in Fort Mill. She was a member of Rockaway Cathedral in Far Rockaway, N.Y.

Surviving are two sons, Dontae Kneece and Hakeem Kneece, both of Jamaica; her daughter, Nawana Kneece of Jamaica; and her brother, Ancil Kneece Jr. of Fort Mill.

Clemons Funeral Home is in charge.
