Mickey Dobson

CHESTER - Mr. Mickey Wayne Dobson, 56, died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.

The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mahaffey Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Grady Ghent officiating.

A native of Lancaster County, Mr. Dobson was the son of the late John Mood and Annie Bernice Thompson Dobson. He was retired from Daniel's Construction Co. and was a member of Springdell Baptist Church in Lancaster.

Surviving are his fiancee, Gloria Michau of Chester; his son John Dobson, of High Point, N.C.; two daughters, Mandy Dobson of Monroe, N.C., and Misty Dobson of Lancaster; his brother, John K. Dobson of Salisbury, N.C.; three sisters, Joyce D. Taylor, Peggy Knight and Jenny Huey, all of Lancaster; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends after the service at Mahaffey Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Rose Hinson

LANCASTER - Mrs. Rose Mae Broughton Hinson, 72, of 1718 Sigmon St. died Monday, June 19, 2000, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at West Side Baptist Church, with the Revs. Todd Robinson, Buford Hayes and Mickey Carnes officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

A native of Lancaster, Mrs. Hinson was the daughter of the late James Harvey Broughton and Estelle Watts Broughton. She was the widow of Earl C. Hinson of Lancaster. She was a member of the West Side Baptist Church and was a retired nursing assistant at Lancaster Convalescent Center.

Surviving are two brothers, Robert L. Broughton and Leo Broughton, both of Lancaster; and her sister, Virginia Watts of Lancaster.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home, Lancaster Chapel and at other times at the home, 1761 Barton St., Lancaster.

Memorials may be made to West Side Baptist Church, 2066 Airport Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Dorothy McClelland

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Mrs. Dorothy Edwards McClelland, 78, died Sunday, June 11, 2000.

A memorial service was in Lake Worth. Burial was Thursday in Tallahassee, Fla.

Surviving are her husband, James McClelland; three daughters, Sue Powell of Rock Hill, Joy Bozicevic of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Jane McClelland of Tallahassee; four grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or West Main Church of the Nazarene in Rock Hill.

Roger Hutton

FORT MILL - Mr. Roger James Hutton, 58, of 7110 Ridge Brook Drive died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

A graveside memorial service will be Saturday at Batavia, N.Y.

A native of Batavia, Mr. Hutton was the son of the late Earl Hutton and Marie Barry Hutton. He worked for Sabin Metals as a welder. He was a Vietnam War U.S. Army veteran and a member of St. Patrick Church in Mount Morris, N.Y.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Ann Callaro Hutton of the home; and his brother, Robert Hutton of Clayton, Del.

Memorials may be made to National Kidney Foundation.

Edna Mosier

LANCASTER - Mrs. Edna Neal Mosier, 82, of 1107 Hudson St. died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Grace United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kevin Cooley officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

A native of Lancaster, Mrs. Mosier was the daughter of the late Thomas Jackson Neal and Haselyn Parks Neal. She was the widow of Toy Charlie Mosier. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Leroy Springs Senior Citizens Club. She was a retired employee of Springs Industries.

Surviving are three sons, Thomas Charlie Mosier of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jimmy Ray Mosier and Jerry Richard Mosier, both of Lancaster; two daughters, Margie Allen and Haselynn Garris, both of Lancaster; three sisters, Margaret Snipes, Helen McCain and Betty Horton, all of Lancaster; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 2217 Airport Road, Lancaster or Hospice of Lancaster, 800 W. Meeting St., Lancaster, SC 29720.

T. Leon Rea

CHARLOTTE - Mr. Thomas Leon "Bud" Rea, 85, of Rea Road died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Providence Presbyterian Church, with the Revs. Walter McCanless and Roy W. Coker officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Charlotte, Mr. Rea was a son of the late John L. Rea and Margaret Youngblood Rea. He was the widower of Catherine Crane Rea. He graduated from Matthews High School. A farmer, he was a founder of the Providence Volunteer Fire Department, part owner of the County Market and a lifetime member of the Mecklenburg County Farm Bureau. Mr. Rea was a lifetime member and deacon of Providence Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his son, Tom Rea of Newport News, Va.; his daughter, Jane R. Clute of Rock Hill; his brother, Paul Youngblood of Charlotte; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Pineville, N.C.

Gregory Ridges

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Mr. Gregory Ridges, 35, of Flatbush Avenue died Thursday, June 15, 2000.

The funeral will be noon today at United Community Baptist Church. Burial will be at Cypress Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn.

A native of Brooklyn, Mr. Ridges was a son of John Wesley Ridges Jr. and Hattie Fee Ridges of Brooklyn. He was a former employee of Thomas Paulson Foundry.

Surviving in addition to his parents are seven sisters, Debra Fee, Jacqueline Ridges, Valerie Ridges George, Adrienne Ridges Wright, Terri Ridges Hinds, Haley Ridges and Tamara Ridges; two brothers, Corey Ridges and Carew Ridges; and his grandmother, Essie Ridge.

The family will be at the home of his parents, West 26th Street, Coney Island, N.Y.

Margaret Allison

CLOVER - Mrs. Margaret M. Allison, 66, of 729 Sumter St. Exten-sion, died Thursday, June 15, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Clover Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Amiri Hooker officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church cemetery in Sharon.

A native of Sharon, Mrs. Allison was the daughter of the late John McClure and Gertrude Miller McClure. She was the widow of Arthur Allison. She was a retired textile worker at American Thread and Pharr Yarns and was a member of Clover Chapel United Methodist Church in Clover.

Surviving are her companion, Albert Neely of the home; three sons, Arthur J. Allison of Maggie Valley, N.C., and Robert Allison and John David Allison, both of the home; two daughters, Patricia A. Allison of York and Barbara Allison of Raleigh, N.C.; two sisters, Allie Belle Jamerson of Charlotte and Beatrice Stewart of York; nine grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Clover Chapel United Methodist Church.

Elizabeth Rogers

FORT MILL - Mrs. Elizabeth L. Rogers, 93, died Sunday, June 18, 2000.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fort Mill. Burial will be at Unity Cemetery.

A native of Lancaster County, Mrs. Rogers was a daughter of the late Gilbert Lazenby and Nancy Edwards Lazenby. She was a 1928 graduate of Columbia College, where she served as president of the Wightman-Wilson Literary Society, president of the Pan-Hellenic Council, president of the junior class and vice-president of the student body during her senior year. She was a retired school teacher, a member of the Kanawah Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a life master duplicate bridge player and a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where she served on the altar guild.

Surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth Justice of Fort Mill; and her grandson.

The family will receive friends at 11:30 a.m. in the undercroft of the church.

CHARLOTTE - Ms. Melissa "Lisa" Frances Fisher, 26, of 14049 Queen's Harbor Road, formerly of Rock Hill, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at home.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Thursday at Forest Hills Cemetery, with the Revs. Barry Harmon and Judy Harmon officiating.

A native of Rock Hill, Ms. Fisher was the daughter of Don Fisher and Elizabeth Fisher of Lancaster. She worked at Griffie's Gym and was a physical trainer. She attended Rock Hill High School and Shekinah Church in Rock Hill.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her brother, Matthew E. Fisher of Augusta, Ga.; and two sisters, Jaclyn Fisher of Lancaster and Beth Fisher of Rockingham, N.C.

LANCASTER - Mrs. Nan Lorraine Hanna Mackey, 52, of 2441 Campbell Lake Road died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at home.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Outen officiating. Entombment will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum.

A native of Lancaster County, Mrs. Mackey was the daughter of Mary Dawkins Hanna of Chester and the late Levander Hanna. She worked for Duracell and was a member of Solid Rock Ministries.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, John E. Mackey of the home; three sons, John E. Mackey Jr. of Lancaster, Jerry L. Mackey of Pageland and Jesse W. Mackey of Kershaw; two daughters, Angela Bryant of Monroe, N.C., and Tammy Helms of Lancaster; five brothers, John R. Hanna of Kershaw, Charlie Hanna of Lancaster, Earl Hanna of Charlotte, Ernest Hanna of Pageland and B. J. Hanna of Chesterfield; three sisters, Daphine Sistare of Chester, Gail Ghant of Fort Mill and Joyce Roberts of Lancaster; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Thelma McCarty

NEWBERRY - Mrs. Thelma Livingston McCarty, 87, died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at National Health Care of Clinton.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home, with the Rev. Hugh Bickley officiating. Burial will be at West End Cemetery.

A native of Newberry, Mrs. McCarty was the daughter of the late Jacob Henry Allen and Bertha Eve Summer Livingston. She was the widow of Philip Gladston McCarty. Retired from Newberry Mill, Mrs. McCarty was a member of West End Baptist Church, where she belonged to the MYU.

Surviving are her son, Philip G. McCarty Jr. of Japan; her daughter, Dale Bickley of Columbia; three brothers, James Livingston of Lancaster, Ned Livingston of Newberry and Bobby Livingston of Trenton; three sisters, Ramah Ward of Rock Hill, Carolyn Long of Florence and Sally Nicholson of Columbia; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
