SUMMERVILLE - Mrs. Lillian DePass Green, 90, died Friday, March 30, 2001.
A graveside service will be noon Monday at Laurelwood Cemetery in Rock Hill.
A native of Columbia, Mrs. Green was a daughter of the late Hamilton Irvine DePass and Ethel Marshall DePass. She was a graduate of Winthrop College and was a member of the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour. She attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Summerville. She retired from the York County Selective Service. She was a member of the Colonial Dames XVII Century. She was the widow of Frank Davis Green.
Surviving are her daughter, Caroline G. Baarcke of Mount Pleasant; two sisters, Nida D. Moseley of Raleigh, N.C., and Ethel D. Crowell of Charlotte; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bass Funeral Home, Rock Hill.

Robert Hamrick
SHELBY, N.C. - Mr. Robert Lee Hamrick, 65, of 2612 W. Dixon Blvd. died Friday, March 30, 2001, at home.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel, with Dr. Paul Sorrells officiating. Burial will be at Faith Baptist Church cemetery.
A native of Cleveland County, N.C., Mr. Hamrick was a son of the late Graham Washburn Hamrick Sr. and Rosie Lee Thomas Hamrick. He was a retired automobile dealer.
Surviving are three sons, Ricky Hamrick and Buren Hamrick, both of Shelby, and Robert Hamrick of Marion, N.C.; two stepsons, Ricky Messick and Keith Messick, both of Shelby; his brother, Arthur Hamrick of Polkville, N.C.; seven sisters, Faye H. Mullinax of Gaffney, Louise H. Wray of Earl, Bessie H. Goins of Cherryville, N.C., Hildred H. Elliott of Polkville, Mildred H. Williams of Charlotte and Margaret H. Williams and Ellen H. Quinn, both of Rock Hill; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and his great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Cleveland Funeral Services in Shelby.
The family will be at the home of Bessie Goins, 109 Pine Ave., Cherryville.

Corine Kennedy
CHESTER - Mrs. Corine Robinson Kennedy, 55, of 836 Elks Road died Thursday, March 29, 2001, at Chester County Hospital.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Sandy River Baptist Church, with Pastor Keith Taylor officiating and the Rev. Lloyd Reid assisting. Burial will be at the Christian Home Baptist Church cemetery.
A native of Chester County, Mrs. Kennedy was a daughter of the late Hizzie Robin-son Sr. and Susie McClurkin Robinson. She was a member of Christian Home Baptist Church, where she was a member of the usher board. She also attended Sandy River Baptist Church. She attended the public schools of Chester County and was a former employee of Springs Industries.
Surviving are her husband, James Lewis Kennedy; four sons, James B. Kennedy, Scottie Kennedy, Corey L. Kennedy and Christopher A. Kennedy, all of Chester; her daughter, Adrienne Kennedy of Chester; four brothers, Isiah Robinson, Mannie Robinson, Robert Robinson and Donald Erwin, all of Chester; three sisters, Lizzie Robinson, Alice A. Wylie and Sara Williams, all of Chester; and 10 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at home.
The body may be viewed from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to noon Monday at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester.
The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Monday.

Charles Matthews Jr.
LANCASTER - Mr. Charles Reid Matthews Jr., 65, died Friday, March 30, 2001, at home.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Sunday at Independent Bible Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jason Coley officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
A native of Charlotte, Mr. Matthews was a son of the late Charles Reid Matthews Sr. and Mable Sullivan Matthews. He worked at Fort James Corp. before his retirement in 1999. He was a member of Independent Bible Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, Sunday school teacher, church clerk and guitarist.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Betty Coley Matthews; his son, Robert Reid Matthews of Lancaster; his daughter, Rachel Ellen Matthews of Lancaster; and his sister, Faye Bradshaw of McBee.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 tonight at Independent Bible Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Independent Bible Baptist Church, 17025 Lancaster Highway, Charlotte, NC 28227.

Jeffrey Oates
PELZER - Mr. Jeffrey Scott Oates, 27, formerly of Rock Hill, died Thursday, March 29, 2001, at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Forest Hills Cemetery, with the Rev. Matthew James officiating. Burial will be at the cemetery.
A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Oates was a son of Judy Gainey Oates and the late John C. Oates. He was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his mother.
The family will receive friends after the service.

Helene Roquet
CHESTER - Mrs. Helene Marie Roquet, 86, died Thursday, March 29, 2001, at Chester County Hospital.
A memorial will be held at a later date in Monterey, Calif.
A native of Oelwein, Iowa, Mrs. Roquet was a daughter of the late Henry Lenius and Emma Hall Lenius. She graduated from Upper Iowa University and was of the Methodist faith. She was a school teacher for more than 45 years in Iowa and California.
Surviving are two sons, Alan Roquet of Monterey and Gary Roquet of Norco, Calif.; her daughter, Arla Roquet Carter of Chester; two sisters, Florence Rathbun of San Marcos, Calif., and Marjorie Mapes of Canton, Mich.; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Bass Funeral Home of Rock Hill is in charge.

Ronald Schenavar
YORK - Mr. Ronald Joseph Schenavar Jr., 81, of 378 Howell Road, died Thursday, March 29, 2001, at home.
A native of Trenton, Mich., Mr. Schenavar was a son of the late Ronald Joseph Schenavar Sr. and Mabel Zoey Mexicotte Schenavar. He was of the Catholic faith and was the widower of Florence Mary Webb.
He is survived by his son, Max M. Schenavar of Fort Mill.
Arrangements will be announced by Bratton Funeral Home.

Mildred Shasteen
YORK - Mrs. Mildred "Millie" Mims Shasteen, 76, of 2159 Old Highway 321 died Thursday, March 29, 2001, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Arrangements will be announced by Bratton Funeral home.

Lucille Turner
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Lucille McGuirt Turner, 77, of 10 Graham St. died Thursday, March 29, 2001, at home.
A graveside service and burial was Friday at Grandview Memorial Park.
A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Turner was a daughter of the late Hugh McGuirt and Lillian Tinkler McGuirt. She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. She retired from J.P. Stevens Industrial Plant. She was the widow of J.T. Turner.
Surviving are four brothers, Pete McGuirt, Roger McGuirt, Ralph McGuirt and Buck McGuirt, all of Rock Hill; and four sisters, Frances Nunn, Faye Cooper, Rachel Sweat and Martha Lucas, all of Rock Hill.
Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel is in charge.

Roland Watson
LANCASTER - Mr. Roland Garrett Watson, 62, of 7077 Waxhaw Highway died Friday, March 30, 2001, at home.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Mahaffey Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Dinnie Crump officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.
A native of Hoffman, N.C., Mr. Watson was a son of the late James Garrett and Hattie Covington Watson. He was a retired carpenter and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his wife, Teresa Driggers Watson; two sons, Gary Watson Jr. of Waxhaw, N.C., and Billy Watson of Fort Mill; three daughters, Diane Sims and Carla Brooks, both of Lancaster, and Denise Hudson of Fort Mill; five brothers, Howard Watson of Rockingham, N.C., Jack Watson of Hamlet, N.C., Bill Watson and Earl Watson, both of Hoffman, N.C., and Glen Watson of Elerby, N.C.; four sisters, Louise Schutt and Jean Thomas, both of Fayetteville, N.C., Margaret Mallard of Mint Hill, N.C., and Sally Ann Russell of Charlotte; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mahaffey Funeral Home.

Rosa Wilmore
GREAT FALLS - Ms. Rosa "Nank" Wilmore of 2631 Georgetown Road died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Great Falls, with the Rev. J.A. McFarlan officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of Great Falls, Ms. Wilmore was a daughter of the late Allen and Phyllis Boulware Wilmore. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Ann McCullough of Great Falls; two brothers, Roosevelt Wilmore of Philadelphia and Henry Wilmore of Great Falls; two sisters, Mary W. Cloud of Great Falls and Barbara Watson of New Jersey; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Washington Funeral Home in Great Falls and at other times at home.
The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Mary H. Miller
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mary H. Miller, formerly of 122 Rock St., died Thursday March 29, 2001, at Lancaster Convalescent Center in Lancaster.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Chestnut Grove AME Zion Church, Chester, with the Rev. Daniel Chisholm officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Born in Chester County, Mrs. Miller was a daughter of the late Sam and Adeline Boyd Hope and attended Chester County schools. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, AP&B Society, and Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She was the widow of the late John Miller.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughter, Mary Washington of Rock Hill; her brother, Sam Hope, Jr. of Rock Hill; nine grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at Robinson Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Charles Hinson
LANCASTER - Mr. Charles Harris Hinson, 66, of 1220 Kent Drive, died Saturday, March 31, 2001, at his home.
A graveside service will be 3 p.m. today at Lancaster Memorial Park, with Dr. James Spencer officiating.
Mr. Hinson was a native of Lancaster County and was a son of the late Ira and Bertha Williams Hinson. He was a Bowater retiree and a former Lancaster County bailiff. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Second Baptist Church and its Praise Bible class and Chancel choir. He was the widower of his first wife Nancy Gregory Hinson.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Shehane Hinson; three sons, Joseph Hinson of Chester, and Scott Munn and Brad Munn, both of Lancaster; his daughter, Amy Hinson Spagnola of Columbia; his brother, Bobby Hinson of Lancaster; and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Campbell was a daughter of the late Heyward F. and Myrtle Threatt Hunter. She was a homemaker and a member of New Life Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter Debbie Johnson of Lancaster; her son, David Hinson of Lancaster; two brothers, Glenn Hunter of Lancaster and Gerald Hunter of Orange Park, Fla.; her sister Linda Cooper of Albany, Ga.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

GREAT FALLS - Mr. Malcolm P. Jones, 79, of 46 Oak St., died Friday, March 30, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

A native of Gaffney, Mr. Jones was a son of the late Victor and Belle Blanton Jones. He was retired from J.P. Stevens Co. and was a member of Great Falls First Baptist Church.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Ossie Jones; his daughter, Van Crocker, of Shelby; two sisters, Evelyn Walker of Cherryville, N.C., and Marie Stanley of Shelby; his brother, Robert "Bobby" Jones of Smyrna; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A native of Chester, Mr. Roberts was a son of the late John Henry and Minnie Love Roberts. He attended school in Chester County, served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by two sons, Lonnie W. Roberts Jr. and Dale Roberts, both of Chester; two sisters, Vangie Mitchell of Frederick, Md., and Rebecca Cooper of Rock Hill; five grandchildren; and his great-grandchild.
