LORIS - Mrs. Geraldine Rowell Schultz, 60, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Conway Hospital.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Hardwick Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Lloyd Williamson officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols.
A native of Green Sea, Mrs. Schultz was a daughter of the late Garlee Rowell and Eva "Pinkie" Strickland Rowell. She was a member of Woodhaven Baptist Church in Rock Hill and attended the Body of Believers Church.
Surviving are her husband, Oliver H. Schultz Sr.; her son, Oliver H. Schultz Jr. of Loris; her daughter, Tammy L. Cox of Loris; four brothers, Dewey Lee Rowell of Evans, Ga., Jimmy C. Rowell of Charleston, Tommy E. Rowell of Conway and Jerry Rowell of Loris; four sisters, Eunice Soles of Charleston, Margaret Herring of Fairbluff, N.C., Joyce Buffkin of Chadbourn, N.C., and Debbie Barnhill of Loris; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at home.

Rosa Thomas
FORT MILL - Mrs. Rosa Riese Thomas, 67, of 202 Pine St. died Monday, May 14, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Unity Cemetery, with the Rev. Ron Daves officiating.
A native of Tiefenthal, Germany, Mrs. Thomas was a daughter of the late Joseph Riese and Anna Riese. She was a homemaker and was a member of Sisk Memorial Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday school class.
Surviving are her husband, Robert B. Thomas; three sons, Robert Thomas of Asheville, N.C., and Mark Thomas and Steve Thomas, both of Rock Hill; her daughter, Susan Thomas Huntley of Rock Hill; three sisters, Maria Hubner, Kathe Stenke and Emile Wolf, all of Germany; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends after the service.

Sarah Turner
LAKE WYLIE - Sarah Marie Turner, infant daughter of Nicholas Stephen Turner and Cathey Crawford Turner, of 5655 Cypress Road died Monday, May 14, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
A memorial service will be
11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Bass Funeral Home, with the Rev. Randall Madsen officiating.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her sister, Taylor Casey of Southern Pines, N.C.; and her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl B. Turner.

Barbara Watts
CHARLOTTE - Ms. Barbara Susan Watts of 1216 Morningside Drive died Monday, May 14, 2001, at Carolinas Medical Center.
The family will receive friends at 508 Washington St., Rock Hill.
Arrangements will be announced by Parker Funeral Home.

Evelyn Wallace
LANCASTER - Mrs. Evelyn Huffstetler Wallace, 86, of 2269 Felly Lane died Sunday, May 13, 2001, at Springs Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Temple Baptist Church, with the Revs. Larry Plyler and Cecil Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Camp Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
A native of Rutherford County, N.C., Mrs. Wallace was a daughter of the late Andrew Lawson Heffstetler and Emma Mae Smith Huffstetler. She was a homemaker. She was the widow of the Rev. W. M. Wallace. She was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Charles S. Wallace of Bath and David Wallace of Lancaster; two daughters, Shirley McRae of Beach Island and Nancy Glenn of Fair Play; her sister, Frances Spake of Lincolnton, N.C.; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and her stepgreat-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home.

Marvin Wilson Jr.
LANCASTER - Mr. Marvin Ray Wilson Jr., 59, of 728 Langley Road died Monday, May 14, 2001, at Springs Memorial Hospital.
The memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Lancaster Memorial Park.
A native of Kingstree, Mr. Wilson was a son of the late Marvin Roy Wilson Sr. and Mary Watson Tanner Wilson. He was a tool maker.
Surviving are his son, Marvin Wilson of Florence, and his brother, Mahlon Wilson of Lancaster.
Cauthen Funeral Home Lancaster Chapel is in charge.

John Wilks
CHESTER - Mr. John Edward "Fat" Wilks, 84, of 846 Featherstone Road died Friday, May 11, 2001, at Chester County Hospital.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gethsemane Baptist Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Mr. Wilks was owner of Wilks Garage. He worked for Springs Industries and Essex Manufacturing. He was educated in Chester County schools. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he served on the deacon board. He was the widower of Tommie Lee Kitchen Wilks.
Surviving are three sons, Charles Kitchen and Rayford Wilks, both of Charlotte, and John Curtis Wilks of Columbia; two daughters, Juanita McKeown of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Telatha Hannah of High Point, N.C.; four sisters, Annie Mae Wilks, Hattie Davis, Beatrice La Prade and Mary Alice Vance, all of Chester; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his special nephew, Joe Eddie Wilks
The family will receive friends at home.
King's Funeral Home, Pageland, is in charge.

Bobby Hawkins
INDIAN LAND - Mr. Bobby Eugene Hawkins, 66, of 8120 Shelley Mullis Road died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at home.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Belair United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Roger Brown officiating.
A native of Rockingham, N.C., Mr. Hawkins was a son of the late Brooks Murray Hawkins and Connie Grant Hawkins. He was retired from Bowater, where he worked in the maintenance department, with more than 35 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Alma Bennett Hawkins; two sons, Mike Hawkins and Brooks Hawkins, both of Indian Land; three daughters, Barbara Thomas of Heath Springs, Jerri Walker of Indian Land and Beverly Hawkins of Rock Hill; his brother, Jimmy Hawkins of Rock Hill; two sisters, Frances Howe of Catawba and Pat Smith of McConnells; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at home.

Joseph Hollis III
CHESTER - Mr. Joseph Gaston Hollis III, 74, of 2727 Rodman Road died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Providence Hospital in Columbia.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Sam Warrick officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Hollis was a son of the late Joseph G. Hollis Jr. and Augusta Saye Hollis. He retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Marietta High School in Marietta, Ga., and Presbyterian College. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Carolinas Chapter Destroyer Escort Sailors Association and the Lewisville Preservation Society.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Ross Hollis; two daughters, Dr. Anna L. Hollis and Debbie Banker, both of Columbia; his brother, James S. Hollis of Chester; and his sister, Peggy H. Rumph of Charleston.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.

CHESTER - Mr. Samuel Davie Sr. of 620 Omega Road died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Chester County Hospital.

Wilma Hilton
KERSHAW - Mrs. Wilma Edna Bowers Hilton, 96, of 6941 Kershaw-Camden Highway died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Springdale Village in Camden.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Cauthen Funeral Home, Kershaw Chapel, with the Rev. Bryant D. Fersner Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Kershaw City Cemetery.
A native of Heath Springs, Mrs. Hilton was a daughter of the late William Jesse Bowers and Isadora Small Bowers. She was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Avanell Williams of Heath Springs and Marcelene Woolbright of Greenwood; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home, Kershaw Chapel, and at other times at the home of Sara Hilton, 275 Phillipstown Road, Kershaw.

ROCK HILL - Mr. Willie "Will Daniel" Perry Jr., 97, of 234 Saluda St. died Sunday, May 13, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at New Hope United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lillian H. Washington officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.
A native of York County, Mr. Perry was a son of the late John Daniel and Mary Daniel. He was a retired auto mechanic. He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. He was a member of Sterling Lodge No. 344. He was the widower of Willie Mae Anderson Perry.
Surviving are five sons, Willie J. Perry Sr., Phillip D. Perry and Robert E. Perry, all of Rock Hill, John E. Perry of Lancaster and Edward L. Perry of Catawba; five daughters, Betty Peterson of Philadelphia, Hattie Rhodes of Detroit, Nannie Adam and Betty Elliott, both of Rock Hill, and Julia Watkins of the home; 64 grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren; 98 great-great-grandchildren; 55 great-great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Parker Funeral Home.

Shameka White
ROCK HILL - Miss Shameka La'Shaun White, 18, of 135 Mays Court died Sunday, May 13, 2001.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Roderick Pendleton officiating. The eulogy will be delivered by Pastor Winfred S. Crosby. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.
A native of York County, Miss White was a daughter of Jeanette White. She attended Saluda Trail Middle School and Higher Heights Full Gospel Ministries.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her brother, DeRonald White of St. Mary's, Ga.; and her maternal grandparents, Edward Louis Jones and Rosa W. Jones, both of Rock Hill.
The body may be viewed from 4 to 6 tonight at Robinson Funeral Home.
The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Lily Clyburn
BALTIMORE - Mrs. Lily B. Wright Clark Clyburn, 75, of Apostolic Towers, 201 N. Washington St., formerly of Chester, died Thursday, May 10, 2001, at home.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Halseville, with the Rev. John Heath officiating and the Rev. Ronald O. Feaster assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of Chester County, Mrs. Clyburn was a daughter of the late William Clark and Connie Wright. She attended the public schools of Chester County. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church. She was a member of New Pilgrim Baptist Church, where she served as an usher. She formerly worked for Containers Corp.
Surviving are her husband, Henry Clyburn; two sisters, Lucille W. Mayfield of Baltimore and Eunice W. Feaster of Chester; and her niece and caretaker, Minister Sandra M. Brice Ferguson of Baltimore.
The family will receive friends at the home of Eunice W. Feaster, 103 Edward St., Chester.
The body may be viewed from 2 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester.
The body will be placed in the church at 3 p.m. Friday.
