YORK - Mrs. Winna Hunsucker Sandifer, 38, of 1890 Chester Highway died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Philadelphia United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lewis Bozard officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Sandifer was a daughter of Robert Wayne Hunsucker and Nancy Carothers Hunsucker. She worked in the York County purchasing department and was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to her parents are two daughters, Taylor Morgan Sandifer of York and Renee Sandifer of Rock Hill; two sisters, Kristie H. Thomas and Nikki L. Lee, both of Rock Hill; her stepfather, James Zofcin of Rock Hill; and her stepmother, Bonte Hunsucker of Rock Hill.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Bratton Funeral Home.

Dorsey Rudder
ROCK HILL - Mr. Dorsey Lee Rudder, 85, died Sunday, June, 3, 2001, at Tucker Center in Columbia.
A graveside service will be 3 p.m. today at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill, with the Rev. Steve Hogg officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.
A native of Oglethorp County, Ga., Mr. Rudder was a son of the late Charlie Rudder and Rhonda Gunder Rudder. He retired from Cone Mills in Pineville, N.C., and was a member of First Baptist Church. He was the widower of Jimmie Goss Rudder.
Surviving are two sons, Ray Allen Rudder of Rock Hill and Jesse Lee Rudder of Olanta; three daughters, Joyce R. Hunter of Greenville, Joann R. Crittendon of York and Gay R. Wilson of Rock Hill; his stepdaughter, Joyce F. Moore of Seneca; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Joann R. Crittendon, 400 Galliant Fox Court, York.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 215 E. Main St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Nelle Sexton
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Nelle Walker Sexton, 76, of 5958 Mount Gallant Road died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. today at Tirzah ARP Church in York, with the Rev. Jan Senneker officiating and the Rev. Barry Eller assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of York County, Mrs. Sexton was a daughter of the late Ernest Walker and Bessie Jenkins Walker. A member of Tirzah ARP Church, she was a homemaker and was retired from Converse Company in Charlotte. She was the widow of James Edward Sexton.
Surviving are her daughter, Cathy S. McGilberry of Clover; two sons, Ronnie Sexton of Rock Hill and Don Sexton of Clover; her brother, O.J. Walker of Clover; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Hattie Hasty
KERSHAW - Mrs. Hattie Mae Williams Hasty, 85, of 304 White St. died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Kershaw County Medical Center.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Kershaw City Cemetery, with the Revs. Jimmy Hogsed and Hugh McKinney officiating.
A native of Lancaster, Mrs. Hasty was a daughter of the late John Marion Stogner Sr. and Annie Elizabeth Mothershed Stogner. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church and was retired from Springs Industries. She was the widow of Edward Hasty.
Surviving are two sons, David G. Williams of Kershaw and Joel R. Williams of Greenville; her daughter, Margie W. Locke of Kershaw; her brother, William Bruce Stogner of Kershaw; her sister, Florence Honeycutt of Florence; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home Kershaw Chapel, and other times at the home of Margie Locke, 105 Locke St., Kershaw.

Carolyn Usery
CLOVER - Mrs. Carolyn Walker Usery of 713 Guinn St. Ext. died Monday, June 4, 2001, at 7904 Glen Cannon Drive in Charlotte.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at the M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
A native of Gaston County, N.C., Mrs. Usery was a daughter of the late Robert Drury Walker and Dovie Costner Walker. She worked at Bob's Superette and was the widow of James C. "Nap" Usery.
Surviving are four sons, Rusty Scott Usery of Charleston, James Jeffrey Usery of Gastonia, N.C., Michael Wade Usery of Panama City, Fla., and Timothy Carroll Usery of Charlotte; her sister, Betty Hawkins of Lincolnton, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Thursday at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home. The body may be viewed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Levi McKay
KERSHAW - Mr. Levi Glenn McKay, 71, of 2786 Lockhart Road died Monday, June 4, 2001, at Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Cauthen Funeral Home Kershaw Chapel, with the Revs. Don Knight and William Smith officiating. Burial will be at Refuge Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. McKay was a son of the late Glenn Marion McKay and Kathleen Walker McKay. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Shakespeare, Inc. He attended Refuge Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Marcine Anderson McKay; his son, Richard S. McKay of Hopkins; his daughter, Cindy Wright of Lancaster; three brothers, Jess McKay of Elgin, Woodrow McKay of Chapin and Johnny J. McKay of West Columbia; four sisters, Ruby Wright of West Columbia, Louise Lee of Gaston, and Lola Haught and Eunice Dial, both of Elgin; his granddaughter; and his great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home in Kershaw and other times at the home of Paul and Wendy Hodge, 2792 Lockhart Road.

Carolyn Lucas
ROCK HILL - Ms. Carolyn Adkins Lucas, 59, of 537 Sugar Loaf Lane died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, with the Rev. Mike Lowery officiating. Burial will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Cemetery in Charlotte.
A native of Rock Hill, Ms. Lucas was a daughter of the late George Adkins and Lillie Mae Kennedy Adkins. She was of the Protestant faith and worked for Celanese in Rock Hill for 25 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan Channell Vincent of Rock Hill and Dee Dee McCalvin of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; four brothers, Bundy Adkins of Chester, and James Adkins, Paul Adkins and William Adkins, all of Rock Hill; her sister, Louise Ashley of Rock Hill; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 tonight at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel.

Ann Lyon
YORK - Mrs. Ann V. Lyon, 80, formerly of Lake Wylie, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at White Oak Manor.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at River Hills Community Church.
Mrs. Lyon was an artist after graduating from the Poppenhausen Institute in New York.
Surviving are her husband, Herb Lyon of Lake Wylie; her son, Gary Lyon of Darien, Conn.; her daughter, Linda MacInnes of Herndon, Va.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Margaret Thomasson
LANCASTER - Mrs. Margaret Allison Thomasson, 89, of Morningside of Lancaster, formerly of 514 W. Barr St., died Monday, June 4, 2001, at the home of Karen Merritt of Fort Mill.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First Union Methodist Church in Lancaster, with the Revs. Needham William-son and Jeannie Bickett officiating. Burial will be at Westside Cemetery in Lancaster.
Mrs. Thomasson was a daughter of the late W.T. Allison and Ada Major Allison. She was a 1932 graduate of Winthrop College and was a public school teacher in Great Falls and Jefferson. She was active in Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, where she was active in Sunday school and United Methodist Women. She was the widow of T. Carter Thomasson.
Surviving are her daughter, Margaret "Sis" Yoder of Van Wyck; two sons, T. Carter Thomasson Jr. and Tom Thomasson, both of Fort Mill; two sisters, Beatrice A. "Pat" Keys of Rock Hill and Lucia Biggerstaff of Atlanta; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at 514 W. Barr St., Lancaster.

LANCASTER - Miss Cherry Dell Jeffers, 43, of 902 Wisteria Way died Monday, June 4, 2001.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Lancaster Memorial Park, with the Rev. Tim Larrimore officiating.
A native of Kingstree, Miss Jeffers was a daughter of John Dwight Jeffers Sr. of Lancaster and the late June McDonald Jeffers.
Surviving in addition to her father are her brother, John Dwight Jeffers Jr. of Lancaster; and two sisters, Alice Ashley of Heath Springs and Pamela Jeffers of Lancaster.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m. today at Cauthen Funeral Home Lancaster Chapel, and other times at the home of Pamela Jeffers, 2455 Cambridge Drive in Lancaster.

GREAT FALLS - Mrs. Mary Dixon Bell, 79, of 215 Chester Ave. died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Lancaster Convalescent Center in Lancaster.
The graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at the Catholic Presbyterian Church cemetery in Blackstock.
A native of Blackstock, Mrs. Bell was a daughter of the late Howard Dixon and Lillie Gladden Dixon. She was a retired sales clerk at Belk in Great Falls. She was a member of Catholic Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and was the widow of Mayo Bell.
Surviving are her son, Brice Bell of Rock Hill; two daughters, Elaine Bell of Charlotte and Marilyn Bell of New York; her sister, Katheryn Jacobs of Blackstock; two brothers, Karl Dixon of Rock Hill and Jack Dixon of Johnston; and 33 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the church after the service.

Edward Canupp
COWPENS - Mr. Edward Hope Canupp, 73, of 116 Riverview Park died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Mary Black Hospital.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Richard Conyers officiating. Burial will be at Lockhart Cemetery.
Mr. Canupp was a son of the late William Thomas Canupp and Lula Miller Canupp. He was of the Presbyterian faith and was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired millwright foreman.
Surviving are his wife, Doris Lemons Canupp; two sons, William Canupp of Richburg and Dean Canupp of Aiken; two daughters, Pam Foster of Sharon and Jean Canupp of Lockhart; his sister, Lois Carr of Chester; his brother, James H. Canupp of Sharon; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home and at other times at the home of his daughter, Pam C. Foster, 3946 Miller Road.

Jeannette Childers
YORK - Mrs. Jeannette Latham Childers, 65, of Rinaldo Road died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at home.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Bratton Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bruce Kiser officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
A native of York County, Mrs. Childers was a daughter of the late Roy Latham and Lena Doster Latham. She was retired from Cannon Mills in York and was a member of Morning Star Freewill Baptist Church in Clover. She was the widow of Junely Childers.
Surviving are her son, Bobby Junior Childers of York; her daughter, Diane Childers Coggins of Lesslie; her brother, John Wesley Latham of Martin, Ga.; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Bratton Funeral Home.
