C. Ann Usher
AIKEN - Mrs. C. Ann Hinson Usher, 74, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Carlos Gardner and Eddie Usher officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of Charlotte, Mrs. Usher was a daughter of the late Franklin Pierce and Sarah Birdie Phillips Hinson. She was retired from Belk department stores, with 15 years of service. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star in New Ellington. She served in various community youth and adult groups and clubs. She was a homemaker and was the widow of Robert B. Usher Sr.
Surviving are three sons, Robert B. "Bob" Usher Jr. of Gainesville, Ga., Wayne Alan Usher of Sugar Hill, Ga., and Thomas L. "Tom" Usher of Aiken; her daughter, Wanda Usher Burleson of Columbia; her brother, Jack Hinson of Aiken; four sisters, Lucille Harmon, Frances Bailey and Jean Crenshaw, all of Lancaster, and Jill Woods of Rock Hill; four grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home, Lancaster Chapel, and at other times at the home of Billy and Jean Crenshaw, 238 Providence Road, Lancaster.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane - Westpark, Columbia, SC 29210.

Elizabeth King
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Elizabeth King of 210 Epting St. died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at home.
Arrangements will be announced by Robinson Funeral Home.

Thelma Watson
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Thelma "Coot" McClenningham Simpson Watson of 1673 Memorial Drive died Wednesday, June 7, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Ebenezer Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles Woods officiating and the Revs. C.S. Sanders Jr. and Larry Robertson assisting. The eulogy will be conducted by Bishop Willie J. Black. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.
A native of York County, Mrs. Watson was a daughter of Ernest McClenningham and Mary McClenningham. She was a member of True Word Apostolic Holiness Church. She was a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the usher board. She attended the public schools of York County and attended Emmett Scott High School.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, James E. Watson; four sons, James Simpson of Charlotte and Walter Simpson, La Charles Simpson and Patrick Simpson, all of Rock Hill; eight brothers, Ernest McClenningham and Ricky McClenningham, both of Boston, Willie McClenningham, Robert McClenningham and Robert Moore, all of Rock Hill, Hubard McClenningham and Gilbert McClenningham, both of Charlotte, and Joe McClen-ningham of Raleigh, N.C.; three sisters, Evangelist Mary "Ella Mae" Moore Canty of Sharon and Sarah Featherstone and Elmira L. McMullen, both of Rock Hill; and 13 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of her parents, 219 Sunset Drive, Rock Hill.
The body may be viewed from 6 to 7 tonight at Robinson Funeral Home.
The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Berry Holly Jr.
CHESTER - Mr. Berry Holly Jr. of 564 Brendale Drive died Friday, June 8, 2001, in Colum-bia.
Leevy's Funeral Home, Taylor Street Chapel, Columbia, is in charge.

Maggie Roseborough
CHESTER - Miss Maggie "Missy" Roseborough, 79, of Carson Community Care in Blythewood died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Providence Hospital Northeast in Columbia.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Weeping Mary Baptist Church in White Oak, with the Rev. Calvin M. Brannon officiating and the Rev. C. Craig assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of Fairfield County, Miss Roseborough was the daughter of the late Walter Roseborough Sr. and Alice Coleman Roseborough. She was a member of Weeping Mary Baptist Church, were she served as an usher. She attended Fairfield County public schools and was a homemaker.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the home of Alice and Thomas Neal, 979 Holmes Road, Chester. The body may be viewed from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester.

Christopher Thomas
CLOVER - Mr. Christopher Thomas, 30, of 1398 Woodhaven Road died Friday, June 8, 2001, in Charlotte.
Arrangements will announced by Bratton Funeral Home.

Ola Threatt
LANCASTER - Ms. Ola Lee Threatt, 72, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at the Lancaster Convalescent Center.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hartley Funeral Home chapel, with the Revs. N.J. Neely and Grady Ghent officiating. Burial will be at Hopewell United Methodist Church cemetery.
A native of Lancaster County, Ms. Threatt was the daughter of the late Clarence Threatt and Ezzie King Threatt. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are two brothers, David Threatt of Lancaster and C.A. Threatt Jr. of Charlotte; and three sisters, Mildred Bradburn of Asheville, N.C., and Aline Hunter and Louise Wrape, both of Lancaster.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hartley Funeral Home and at the home of Louise Wrape, 1956 Flat Creek Road.
Memorials may be made to Glenwood Heights Baptist Church, Sanctuary Renovation Fund, 600 Nichols Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Ella Banks, 81, of 243 Blanche Circle died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Betty Bowers
HEATH SPRINGS - Mrs. Betty Bernice Smith Bowers, 76, of 1491 Fork Hill Road died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Springs Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fork Hill Baptist Church, with the Revs. Benji Simmons and Steve Neal officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bowers was a daughter of the late Arthur Smith and Minnie White Smith. She retired from Duracell USA. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary No. 8990 and was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church. She was the widow of Guy Derrell Bowers.
Surviving are two sons, Brent Bowers of Heath Springs and Bill Morton of Norwood, N.C.; three daughters, Frances Potts of Hendersonville, N.C., Shelby Jean Rouse of Asheboro, N.C., and Pat Kearns of Sea Grove, N.C.; her brother, W.G. Smith of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Mattie Neal and Gloradine Smith, both of Pensacola; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home.

Angel Greene
ROCK HILL - Ms. Angel Marie Bailey Greene, 48, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Alford officiating. Burial will be at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.
A native of Rock Hill, Ms. Greene was a daughter of Branton Jack Freeman and Mildred Gray Wright Freeman, both of Rock Hill. She was employed by Cracker Barrel.
Surviving are in addition to her parents are four brothers, Mickey Bailey of Myrtle Beach, Billy Freeman of Kings Mountain, N.C., and Robert Bailey and Doug Freeman, both of Rock Hill; and two sisters, Melissa Freeman and Jackie McKimm, both of Rock Hill.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill Chapel.

Jacqueline McAteer
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Jacqueline Crenshaw McAteer, 68, of 732 Rockwood Drive died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at West Side Cemetery in Lancaster, with Major Paul Kirkpatrick officiating.
A native of Lancaster, Mrs. McAteer was a daughter of the late Frank Benjamin Crenshaw and Lula Carnes Crenshaw. She was a former employee with The Charlotte Observer, where she worked as a teletype operator for more than 20 years. A member of Westend Baptist Church, she played the piano at the Salvation Army.
Surviving are her husband, Robert L. McAteer, and her brother, Sanford Crenshaw of Rock Hill.

Bessie McEntire
BLACKSBURG - Mrs. Bessie Warren McEntire, 79, of 1085 Bridges Road died Sunday, June 7, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Brian Harris officiating.
A native of Cleveland County, N.C., Mrs. McEntire was a daughter of the late James Edgar Warren and Hope Ross Warren. She was a homemaker and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church
Surviving are her husband, Woodrow Wilbur McEntire; her son Harlan McEntire of Gastonia, N.C.; her brother Max Warren of Nashville, Tenn.; four sisters, Helen Grady of Charlotte, Sue Childres and Emma Hill, both of Rock Hill, and Roxanne Welch of Gastonia; two grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at White Columns Funeral Service.

Edith Melton
KERSHAW - Mrs. Edith Truesdale Vaughan Melton, 82, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Providence Hospital in Columbia.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Cassatt Baptist Church, with the Revs. Robert Brown, Mark E. Vaughan and Howard Brown officiating. Burial will be at the Melton family cemetery.
A native of Bethune, Mrs. Melton was a daughter of the late Romie Wells and Mollie Caroline Watkins Vaughan. A member of Cassatt Baptist Church, she was a retired nursing aide at Kershaw County Medical Center. She was the widow of Junior Robert Melton.
Surviving are her daughter, Welba Boykin of Cassatt; her brother, Wylie L. Vaughan of Camden; two grandchildren and her great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home, Kershaw Chapel, and at other times at the home of Joe and Welba Boykin, 2175 Porter Road in Cassatt.

Ida Snyder
YORK - Mrs. Ida Bernice Curry Snyder, 87, of 111 Congress St. died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at White Oak Manor.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at French Creek United Methodist Church in French Creek, W.Va., with the Rev. William C. Eskew Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Buckhannon Memorial Park.
A native of Mount Clare, W.Va., Mrs. Snyder was a daughter of the late Charles Edward Curry and Samantha Siron Curry. She was a homemaker and a member of French Creek United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Althea Chapter No. 82 in Rock Cave, W.Va. She was the widow of Sanford Monroe Snyder.
Surviving are two sons, Russell Carrol Snyder of Monrovia, Md., and Maurice Davrel Snyder of Orlando, Fla.; four daughters, Wilma Irene S. Harper-Austin and Deborah Joy Snyder Copeland, both of Rock Hill, Robina Ellen Snyder Jerome of Channahon, Ill., and Jacalyn Helen Snyder Watts of Bethune; two brothers, James Curry of Bridgeport, W.Va., and Charles Curry of Lakeland, Fla.; three sisters, Elva Curry Lawman of Bradenton, Fla., Ruth Curry Benincosa of Nutter Fort, W.Va., and Betty Lou Curry Smith of Lima, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Tomblyn Whitescarver-Rundio Funeral Chapel in Tennerton, W.Va.
